WHEEL SMASHING LORD 3-80
Chapter: 3
“Cut once, think not at all. Every situation must be handled this way. Any more than that is excessive and will only burden your sword arm with the weight of regret.”
– Ryo ten Ryam, sword saint

I am either recognizing patterns there or creating them from wholesale, but “oh, oh this I know” sounds mighty familiar to another insane jester granted ‘wisdom’ after drowning. I think the worm has suffered a similar awakening.
this person is referring to patchface from the game of thrones books
This chapter is making Gog Agog a really cool character – even for the style alone. Still not my favourite character, though. That was someone smaller and bluer.
Jadis, yes!
Oh no, i ship them
I think people are underestimating how difficult it will be for Allison to say no to this. She may end up doing so anyway, but it’s not as easy to refuse saving (?) Cio as it is to refuse removing her scars. This may end up being her hardest trial yet.
I hope you are right, because there ain’t a lot of drama in an easy decision. I want to see Allison balance on the edge of insanity trying to make up her mind, and the new rendition of Cio comfort her like a sympathetic puppy.
Gog Agog’s mastery of the Shaft Pose is to be feared
Rereading King of Swords 5-50, in light of this and recent pages… Solomon calling for all of them not to forget, and Gog just glaring at him. He and all the rest have forgotten almost more times than Gog remembers. Little wonder that, at least on some level, she might finally want someone else in the loops.
I hope that the worm gets into girl, the girl gets into the bone demon, and the bone demon finds her way back into the girl’s heart. And they all live forever. And somehow kill six billion demons
Get In The Fucking Robot Shinji
Get In The Fucking Girlfriend Allison
I don’t think Not!Cio appreciates Gog Agog making a move on her former incarnation’s girlfriend. Also… Not!Cio doesn’t have a mask, but has a fairly well defined form, so she’s breaking the rules about as much as White Chain did with her sudden fleshy incarnation. If/when Not!Cio transforms from Palid/Pale to maybe blue maskless devil oh-boy. With all these strange things happening one would thing the wheel is starting to splinter against A;lison.
There may be a different “rule” for beings that have at some point merged with a being or beings of another type.
And where are the other shards of Cio’s mask? I suspect that they were collected along with Alison.
And why does Alison healing her body seem impossible when she can do so much other normally impossible stuff?
Is that last part a Jojo reference?
When a girl dresses up in her cutest outfits and asks you to move in with her and says she wants to stay with you forever, and promises that so long as you’re in she won’t let disease or war or death or the ending of all things tear you apart…and she offers you a small circular object of great symbolic import?
She is *proposing* to you, honey. Stop threatening to punch her and let the poor clown down easy or move in way too soon and buy a bunch of cats.
…Ok but you’re not wrong.
Also, how many Demiurges past and present would be in just a much better place if they experienced a stable relationship based on mutual trust, communication, compatibility and a bunch of cats.
Ok maybe Solomon is definitely a dog person, he is himself far too feline of aspect to ever get along with proper cats, but point remains.
So you’re saying he… mewed? No wonder his arm shriveled up and he lost his Ki-Rata. Burning his inner temples of all their Atum to bring forth fists fit for slaying gods broke his streak.
Oh my god all the people worried about this being too clear a decision for Allison haven’t realized the power of “shit how do I say this nicely”
So, how many cycles are you willing to go through? How many people will you let die, again and again and again, in the pursuit of Your Perfect Ending?
Will you ever even reach it?
I’ll reach the perfect ending. And then I’ll start all over.
So my guess is that Gog-Agog actually knows that Allison is going to win. But Gog is still evil. She doesn’t want the cycle to end. She’s just crazy like that. So she pretends to underestimate Allison, telling her that she should really just take the easy way out, acting like she’s such a good friend for having Allison’s back. When really she’s scared of destiny playing out for once
Evil is too simple a concept for what Gog-Agog is, and there are other characters that represent evil more closely. I think Gog is incalculably lonely and it has driven her majorly crazy, but being immortal and indestructible prevents her from suffering any of the usual consequences. This is perhaps the most terrible fate of all.
> As the worm circles in me, it encloses magnificent landscapes. Everything taken from you can be returned. Yes, even death may be surpassed.
WHAT WAS WILL BE
WHAT WILL BE WAS
That’s my GOOOOAT.
I’m sure I’m being too hopeful, K6BD isn’t that feelsgood of a series, but my hopes for the best case scenario here is that Allison refuses the deal in large part because in the next few pages, pseudoCio’s actions convince her she can in part fix her mistakes under her own power in this cycle.
I love the opening frame. It paints a spectrum of 3 characters; a rigid statue at one end, and Gog Agog — a timeless creature detached from consequence — at the other.
Allison is in the middle; faced with the decision of whether she wants to remain a fixture in the karmic cycle or join Gog.
Top-tier visual analogy for the choice at hand
I hate when i stop reading this comic for a couple weeks and get back in at the worst possible time so i get cucked by events like these
Hmmm, lines on both faces…what a coincidence.
You got this.
It is hardly uncommon for the liturgy to be at odds with the events of the comic, but these past two might be the most DIRECT refutation in the run.
Don’t step in your own footprint, keep moving forward –Yisun
Don’t waffle, trust instinct, execute your choice –Ryo ten Ryam
HEY HOW ABOUT TRYING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR MULTIPLE ETERNITIES? –Gog Agog (Oh shit, but also Zoss, huh?)
Oh no, now that I think about it, I’m worried that CIO took a worm, and that’s why she’s here at all — and maskless, to boot.
Well, my wanders have taken me this far, now I just need to find the way forwards.
Hmm.. Took me a second to grasp how this wasn’t just Jadis’s offer again. But no, having Cio right there and knowing that, hey, if Gog is telling the truth here, then you could see her again and do it *properly*, next time….that’s definitely an angle they haven’t tried yet.
Because… well, Cio’s first self died once and her lover spent a ton of time trying to bring her back…but the one who came back wasn’t the same. So, even if Al-Yisun was willing to go all in on mask repairing, she’s unlikely to get Cio back. And Al-Yisun knows this.
However, another repeat, well, that’d be different. She’d get a shot at doing this properly, because she’d know what she did wrong this time.
I do not think this will work for Gog, because I think Al-Yisun has already seen through this trap, but it might take more effort from her than I expected.
Only those weak of will take the form in an effort to get back what was lost. Real ones say “it is what it is”.
IS Vio a white devil now? or is she something else now? she looks a bit pink and fleshy so idk
Much as I love that final panel, it’s hard not to think about the last time Cio stepped to a demiurge (and arguably a much less powerful one).
