WHEEL SMASHING LORD 3-80
Chapter: 3
“Cut once, think not at all. Every situation must be handled this way. Any more than that is excessive and will only burden your sword arm with the weight of regret.”

Did the stage’s desk get… Get crushed by the dumpy?
(Had to)
Hi barely bridled chaos formerly known as Ciocie Cioelle Estrella Von Maximus the Third
What part of She Has Chosen The Path Of Suffering don’t you get Gog?
Ain’t her fault you trapped yourself almost as badly as Jadis– worse, actually, since gog can still be said to be someone!
I don’t think doing this would bring back Cio, at best it would bring back a devil with no connection to her.
oh no look behind(?) you!
This is objectively a very good deal that has the unfortunate caveat of being sold by the least convincing salescreature in 7,777,776 universes, rivaled only by Jagganoth and his excellent plan of “kill everything and then I guess I’ll fight an angel who gave me the magic nails I put in my body”. If nothing else, one could attempt to study Gog-Agog in order to possibly replicate whatever method she is employing to survive cycles; it would be a good back-up in case she doesn’t succeed, which nobody is reasonably certain of. Or just, like, ask. As a counteroffer. If she’s willing to share whatever the secret is.
I have suspected for a long time that I do not understand this webcomic very well.
the thing about the K6BD universe is that if you are afraid enough of death to seek immortality, you cannot truly achieve immortality. Allison’s power in the narrative comes from the fact that she no longer gives a shit about death and in the process has gained enlightenment. she has become Murder Buddha, killer of demons.
I once saw a comment mentioning Gnosticism and I did some research and it made a lot more sense with that context; you’ll see it referenced in things like Cio’s true name, and stuff like that too
Love the glasses falling down her face btw.
Oh no, I finally caught up! Found this comic from a recommendation in a comment from another comic and finished this in 2 weeks despite trying to pace myself. Been a long-time fan of Elder Scrolls lore.
I loved the madness/PTSD of the call to action; this needs an anime for the fight scenes alone; the depression after the Jaggy battle was a relatable depiction; and now I’m so ready for her Guts, the struggler, arc. Just don’t eat the behelit-worm!
This doesn’t make sense. Sure there may be similarities between cycles but from what we have heard it doesn’t sound like it’s the exact samething over and over. Maybe I’m misunderstanding the situation and what GogAgog is offering, but it seems to be a straight up lie.
Well, if I understand correctly, she’s offering to help Allison survive the resetting, such that she keeps all her memories and gets to live as an independent worm, separate from Gog, through the next cycle.
It’s not clear to me how Allison could live her exact life over again, since she would pre-exist her next self-iteration, but Perhaps I am over-thinking it.
Obviously, worm-Allison would just crawl into the mouth of next-Allison and wear her like a meatsuit – the way Gog does it.
a worm dies many times, but a brave man dies only once.
ngl I always hear it as the vine boom sound
Well, beyond Alison saying no, I don’t think that’s a real path to Royalty. The passage seems to agree; Royalty only does things once. Eating the worm here allows that there could, or would be a next round, but the key has always responded best to a surety of self
I feel like it would be a much better idea to wait and if things end up with Allison and Gog-Agog as the last things standing *then* you can accept the worm because everything’s gone anyway.
It must be reiterated: Making the worm-lady this inexplicably hot was simply uncalled for.
Does anyone else feel an overwhelming pity towards what Gog has become? Merry in image only, infinitely powerful and yet completely helpless. By resigning herself to endless repeating cycles, she has made everything she experiences utterly meaningless.
I think it’s worse than meaningless. All that is lost is lost again. And again. And again. It’s not just that she can’t break the wheel… her promise here is “next cycle”. It’s procrastination. Never breaking the wheel.
Failure, eternal.
and of course gog is so powerful, that the release of insanity, or that of death is beyond her- hence why gog plays at insanity
Ah, the temptation phase of the saga. All the worlds, forever.
Not that she is, but if Allison where somehow asking the audience for advice on how to decline Gog’s offer, I would offer up this as a potential line to give her:
“That does seem like great promise of power, I can see how it would appeal to many. But let me turn this offer around a bit: If I fail, it should be little matter to you, now that you know making future iterations of me into the true bearer of the key is a possibility. That’s a new toy to play with! Just keep in mind that Zoss really wants power to be shared by the masses and you can get him to make anyone the heir, really. So with that in mind, you don’t *super* need me in your collective long term.
And if I succeed? Well, Jadis did tell me the exact time of my death, so I’m gonna die of something. If you actually do help me break the cycle and free the numerous worlds from the grip of the wheel and its demiurges well before then, well, letting you be the cause of my prophesied demise could be your reward for a job well done. A little incentive if you will. So how about it?”
I want to suffer till I die vs you don’t need to suffer anymore + bonus I can worm back all the things you lost version which made yo uwhat you are today…
Geez I wonder what would Allison choose here if we know what her take is on taking back her suffering from her?
Also new Cio is also not amused to take that away from Allisson for some unknown reason since she should not remember her time of being Cio just from that one fragment she got right?
I doubt Gog has anything to do with bringing her here.
Strange, no one wants to agree with our Worm Queen.
Nah.. You don’t really need any of that. Fate has already been determined, so what does one or infinite chances make? We’re going to find out what’s at the end for ourselves and we’re not going to ask for any do-overs. Have a little conviction for god’s sake. Also don’t look behind you.
She’s very imposing for a pale devil.
Speaking as a lesbian, this whole page–and especially the second panel–is sooo seductive. Gog really knew what she was doing when she chose that outfit, gosh. And Allison too, of course!, although it’s clear she wasn’t trying to impress anyone; that’s just the way she is. Which also, like.. damnb
Great work, Abbadon
You don’t have to be a lesbian to find Gog or Allison hot.
That’s what I’m sayin’!
Oh, I agree! Sorry if my comment sounded exclusive, I just meant that, since it seems like Gog is deliberately playing up the attraction to entice Allison, here is one data point of it definitely working on a woman who likes women. And so, kudos to Abbadon for nailing that, because it’s something a lot of authors struggle to do. But yeah! Well-written attractive women aren’t exclusively attractive to lesbians, which is good.
If it does not matter if you fail, then it does not matter if you succeed.
sometimes this comic and this comment section no offense is so vague and incomprehensible my autism brain smacks me with hammers, SO- Do we think Cio Plus went down there on her own volition or has she been spirited down by the Worm Queen herself?
By my estimation, the Queen of Worms seems to have been caught off guard. I do not think she had any idea that this thing-that-was-Cio was here.
My prediction is that not-Cio retains a vague sense of connection with Allison, but cannot remember what kind of connection it is. And because Allison claimed to be her enemy and threatened to destroy her, not-Cio is misinterpreting their connection as some kind of vendetta and has come with the intention of killing Allison before Allison can kill her.
I am not fully convinced that my prediction is correct, however. The pale devil remains inscrutable.
NuCio sought out Allison even before Allison implanted the splinter of OldCio into her. So it is reasonable to assume that NuCio now has even more memory (of some kind) than before. This moment, when Gog is making her best attempt to corrupt/incorporate Allison, is just the moment when OldCio would jump in and say “Get away from her, you bitch!”
(and then get quartered, unfortunately)
nah, girlfriend got tons of plot armor
Give a hand to our surprise guest! And next up, after the commercial break: Alan Wake!
Ohh look another BEAST has entered the fray. Perhaps a word is needed wit dear Gog Agog?
