These guys know that, at a minimum, they’re pulling up on two demiurges, one of who used to be an angel, and a former demiurge. Even without taking into account the Fleet Alison has backing her, the fact that she has the true key, and anything to do with Nukoku, that’s still an incredible force to contend with; just one of those three was able to square off against Solomon. Yet they still decided to show up with two of Alison’s allies bound and bloodied.
What do they think is about to happen and why do they think it’s going to go any way other than poorly for them?
The thing is, these are the sort of people that are very, very used to yanking a chain to make somebody else dance. They have power and authority, and see that as a strong bargaining position. “We have much that she needs, much that she wants, she will pay a steep price for it”.
I totally buy that these folks would roll up with a couple of Allisons buddies as bargaining chips and think they’ll be making a profit.
Ech, the last time Vash saw Allison, she single-handedly took down *almost* his entire guild operation (she needed some help with Killboss).
Two things have changed since then; the first is that several years have passed, which certainly means several more years of training for Allison. The second is that Vash seems to have acquired a Key fragment somehow (from Incubus?) which certainly would give him power, but he is also quite well aware that Allison has the Master Key, so I think he’s being quite reckless here.
I think the way they appear here is more of a power play. I don’t think they are planning to actually fight against Allison, but they try to show themselves in a “don’t fuck with us” way and get a deal on their terms.
Ok, Allison might have difficulty smiting these bastards selectively enough to avoid hurting Princess and the Square Angel. But White Chain is now a Ki Rata practitioner! They are already dead no matter how smug they look…
Some of them seem to have key fragments… Aside from 000001, who has a fragment of Mammon’s key, the color seem to indicate Incubus. He probably offered them a deal if they hindered All-yisun
As I recall, the keys held by lesser servants are emanations, copies of the key but not the true divine article. So as long as the key exists, they would still have those echoes. I don’t know or remember all the details, unfortunately.
Which reminds me that we saw Jagannoth claim multiple keys: Mottom and Mammon after their deaths, and Incubus has been scheming with him frequently. So that may also be informing the loyalties of this pack of leavings. Perhaps he allowed them to live and keep their power if they continued to serve while his armies destroy the universe.
Do you know how in video games, after you reach endgame and go back to early game levels, how the enemies still try to start a fight, no matter how disastrously it’ll end for them?
I don’t think this will go how they think it will go. If Oscar was among their number, I’d be worried. As it is, I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of them was a turncoat. Probably that priestess.
I see that (almost?) all of the new arrivals have the mark of an emissary, meaning they serve one of the Seven. I wonder which of them they are here on behalf of.
Vash, Pope Dude, and 4-Legged seem to have pink-ish ley-stones, suggesting they now serve Incubus. Curiously, 001 still seems to have an orange ley-stone, which makes me wonder if she somehow was able to keep a part of Mammon’s key.
The others we all see from further away, so it is hard to tell… but Mottom’s former emissary and guild-master both seem to be red. Surely they can’t be emissaries of Jagganoth!? Even if he were willing to split his power (which I don’t think he would be) he’s been sealed away.
It should be noted that the Seven’s keys were, themselves, aggregations of ~111,111 lesser keys each, and that when Jagganoth absorbed Mammon’s key he did not absorb the keys of any of his emissaries (and indeed we see Mottom has to re-consolidate her power after allison’s stunt, with mention of her executing her emissaries)
00001 is, in this case, holder of probably the last remaining key of Mammon, and retains loyalty only to her people and the bank. Based on color, I’m assuming that the other chucklefucks are all drinking Incubus’ fruit punch.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if 001 and her priest buddy wound up turning on the rest – common criminals and defectors from the corpse of mottom’s empire, going against THE kill six billion demons when the destroyer is about to break free at any moment? I’d jump ship at the earliest opportunity too.

Also to be fair, last time any of these folks saw Allison she was a total scrub.
They’re, uh, not going to last long this time around.

Praying for Preem Nand’s death to any god that will listen. Please. I dearly hope he does not survive this.

PRINCESS JACK IS BACK
Yes, that is their current name.
He will be flanked by a white and a black flame, his coming will be followed by 108 burning stars.
10Vig, you get up right this instant and tell me you’re okay
Number 1! I hope they can come to an understanding and she doesn’t get her shit kicked in.
Looks like vassals who receive part of a key from their god get to keep it if said god gets murdered.

This reminds me of that, for some reason.

Oh, is that what we’re doing before deciding the fate of the multiverse? We’re having a fight?
As is tradition
I feel a number of people are about to feel a significant amount of pain, very briefly.
I get the sneaking suspicion that these guys don’t know which Allison they’re dealing with.
Whelp, they’re gonna learn today.
YOU?!
Your disassembly shall be… very informative.
Praman Nand my BOY!!!
Alison just standing there completely unimpressed…
“I’m here to punch literal god in the face, do not give me an excuse for a warmup.”

Nand was possibly an emissary of Incubus from way back in book 1. When he went to the “flame room” to vid-call his boss, said boss looked like Inky.
Huh, you’re right. We can’t know for certain but it seems plausible.
Nand does seem like the type of person Incubus would make an emissary, too…
Why do I feel like the man with the blue hat has a name like “Smudley” Or something
i need to see MYSELF, king of the devils, before this comic ends. and oscar. this is what i need. please, abbadon
