It technically was a wardrobe malfunction not something he meant to do. But then, the last I saw him he’d conjured that magic battle armor which I’m guessing was still active when he was contained. Is he aware of the passage of time in there or will it seem like an instant to him? Because he will be EXTRA pissed if he was conscious the whole time. Although, if this has never happened before in the cycles, it might paradoxically also make him very happy. The more different things are the better his chances of making a difference himself, was the gist of his attitude I picked up in his conversation with Allison. He may have been momentarily hopeful that she might surrender her key willingly if he could make her understand. Thing is, they all want to break the Wheel, they just don’t trust him to do anything sane in the aftermath. THAT is what this war is all about.
If you think you’re gonna go into a battle where there is a pretty good chance you either a) die horribly, or b) become the most badass being since ZOSS, you too would want drip.
Everyone has battle drip.
If you are going into battle, then there is no excuse for not looking fashionable. If you are going into a battle that is sure to be your last, doubly so. If you are going into a battle that will not be your last? Triply so.
There’s two different mixes–Rain, the instrumental, and Thunder, the vocal mix–but the first result I got on Youtube was a blend of the instrumental and the vocal mix into one big epic track.
Also, fun fact, the lyrics are in a language they made up for that game and it’s all but canon that the party’s bard is singing it.
Not only Metatron, but I suspect there will be a surprize Zoss boss fight in there somewhere. No way Al-Yisun succeeds the throne without conquering the Conquering King himself
Just to make sure I’m following: She’s says let me change, and then puts a coat on like a cape? And that’s it?
From the expression on the rest of the crew, it seems like she might be doing more? Or are they just non-plussed that she’s fretting about her wardrobe under the circumstances?
I think the reaction was less to do with the coat, and more to do with the extremely casual acceptance of her assuming the role of a legendary uniting hero.
Or as close to a hero as one can compare Royalty, anyway.
She does change her pants and boots(maybe her shirt too? I’m less sure of that) but I feel like the main thing of this page is more how Allison doesn’t really care about the weight of her own mythological status. It’s the exact type of Luffy-esque impulsivity that makes up Royalty and it’s *that* recklessness which leads to White Chain’s surprised look.
I do have more thoughts vis-a-vis “power/responsibility/reputation being placed upon you whether you want it or not”; how White Chain & Allison are a good set of foils for the theme; and how this page does a really good job of making that central- but I don’t think typing up a whole essay as a reply would work out super well and oh god this is already super long sorry
She had the ultimate freakout after seeing a glimpse of all creation and nearly having her eyes burned out of her head. I don’t think it’s possible for her to freak out anymore.
Agreed. They probably expected her to freak out a bit more or…at all. But I think she’s accepted that whatever happens happens now (plus she knows she’s going to survive another 31 years). I wouldn’t say she’s being reckless like Redgrave says, but she’s just accepted it and made peace with it.
A more sincere expression of individualism you will never find – ironic, given the object of Royalty is to destroy the enemy called ‘I’. Observe the prior pages, if you will – the shape of a halo is highly representative of who one is as a person. Solomon has one of the most prominent ones, as does Meti the swordswoman.
We have had the fortune to see Allison’s halo, too, late in the story, and it is shaped with a single vertical line in the front, separated from the rest of the circle where said circle has its gap. The fact that this matches the shape of a ‘power button’, in effect one of the classic symbols for a break in a circuit in electrical diagrams, is almost incidental in its symbolism.
Everyone up on the ships are looking down through binoculars like “Better check the Fleet Commaner- Is…. Is our Empire Shattering Star taking her clothes off?!?! (O////O) “
Nah. It’s either Juggernaut Star or 01, the High Priestess of the Count or the Vault or whatever her title was. The lady who fought with Mottom for Mammon.
Unlike everyone else, my prediction is that this is going to be 01, the High Priestess of Mammon. Her key fragment is that exact orange colour, I can’t wait to see her after all these years!
Someone is going to get hit with an adam smasher
I wonder if Jaggy is gonna be wearing his murder hat
Perhaps, but either way his JaggaNuts will be swingin free. Mans knows how to live, all knives and hair and balls.

Why you gotta remind me of that, man…
The Jaggahog lives on
Iä! Iä! Jaggahog* will smother all light on Throne. None shall remain to choke on its girth, not even its master.
*The translation of Jaggahog is Jaggahog. It is untranslatable.
Oh damn, they DO got that shit on
“Hold on White Chain, I need drip if I’m gonna lead an armada.”

There to witness Zoss Come Again Yet Surpassed. The salt would become legendary
Aight, someone help me be one of today’s 10,000. What videogame Music am I searching for??
God Shattering Star, from Fire Emblem
God Shattering Star, from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The name’s in the liturgy.
Alternatively, the main theme of Dragon Age Origins fits pretty well here I’d say.
There’s two different mixes–Rain, the instrumental, and Thunder, the vocal mix–but the first result I got on Youtube was a blend of the instrumental and the vocal mix into one big epic track.

6 JUGGERNAUT STAR SCOURS THE UNIVERSE
Would love to see her and the other angels back. Although I predict a big fight with metatron when this leg of the battle is done.
Amen to that. If that dangling thread be not pulled, this finale is going to be frustrating.
Not only Metatron, but I suspect there will be a surprize Zoss boss fight in there somewhere. No way Al-Yisun succeeds the throne without conquering the Conquering King himself
Bet?
That’d be 7 Juggernaut Star after that whole ordeal of getting absolutely murdered by grandpa 4 arms?
6 JUGGERNAUT STAR SCOURS THE UNIVERSE LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Great Chariot Cannon!
No, to increment, an Angel must also be destroyed in the Void.
Every time this comes up, I am reminded that White Chain is literally the most annoying person to ever have lived.
N, she wasn’t destroyed, her armor suit got melted into a solid chunk and useless, so, she retreated.
Only the best of Star Wars ost for these scenes
You can’t expect Royalty to slay without slaying, ya know?
Prediction: Allison is gonna one-shot the incoming enemy ships.
“Alison I know this is a terrible burden but y..”
“Nawnawnaw! This is some SAILOR MOON SHIT, girls! BORN FOR THIS!”
It’s not easy arriving fashionably late during wartime
Just to make sure I’m following: She’s says let me change, and then puts a coat on like a cape? And that’s it?

She had the ultimate freakout after seeing a glimpse of all creation and nearly having her eyes burned out of her head. I don’t think it’s possible for her to freak out anymore.
They’re surprised how easily she takes this information in stride.
Agreed. They probably expected her to freak out a bit more or…at all. But I think she’s accepted that whatever happens happens now (plus she knows she’s going to survive another 31 years). I wouldn’t say she’s being reckless like Redgrave says, but she’s just accepted it and made peace with it.
Shes gog now so maybe morphed into it via a fleshy middle stage?
I figure her new attitude and the halo of a demiurge are part of it…
She’s donning her full authority.
ooh like fire emblem!
Why does Allison’s jacket have a power button on the back?
Also, did she haul it out from somewhere or just Manifest it from hammerspace?
I believe it’s a representation of an atum. That said, a power button is not unfitting either given Allison’s goals.
Why, ’tis the shape of her halo, of course!

Makes for great discussions, though.
That symbol means ‘circuit breaker’ which is exactly what she is.
you telling me this woman has hammerspace for her DRIP? she truly is god…
That’s funny, I’d figure wearing a jacket in such a fashion would only end with the string choking you if there’s a lot of wind.
But it sure does look cool.
When your flesh is like iron and your muscles fine steel, it would be hard for a string to choke instead of breaking like spider web.
GSS MENTIONED
I think there is a typo in the 2nd bubble of the 2nd panel.
It says “Like it not”, while I think it should say “Like it OR not”
Can’t wait for what’s coming!
here we go
All she’s missing is the v-shaped red glasses.
Come on Abbadon, we know you know.
White Chain was probably expcting to have to do way more convincing.
What humor could AL-YISUN be referring to? Perhaps it’s the centuries getting to my brain at last, but I could find no humor in Maya’s words.
She’s a millennias-old ex-warlord, who may or may not have achieved Royalty. She’s joking.
Sorry, I mean centuries old. Took a trip through the hall of memories.
“Let me change.” You shouldn’t have to ask, but sometimes you have to anyway.
Everyone up on the ships are looking down through binoculars like “Better check the Fleet Commaner- Is…. Is our Empire Shattering Star taking her clothes off?!?! (O////O) “
yes allison we see the fit
He’s heeeeeerrrrrree.
