The funniest thing about Princess’s diehard commitment to this character archetype is that this was absolutely not her gender identity or even general personality before All-Yi-Sun masked her, and yet she seems to be very much enjoying both XD
I think the issue that Nyave is alluding to is why most republics historically had the option to grant supreme executive power to an individual (or individuals) on a limited basis in times of crisis. It only mostly ended badly.
Princess is shedding names at a fair clip. Sort of suggests that Cio was only really blue because she “wanted” to be.
What White Chain might not have considered, or expected, is that the best republic is a very fragile fruit. It needs time to mature as its populace learns how to wield their collective power, and in the meantime it needs to be protected – from within and from without, with a steady hand which does not, though, stop the people from exercising their power – because exercise they need.
Historically, attempts to fast-grow a republic have been… troubled.
They are seeing Allison for the first time, post Rayuba. They’re shocked at her still being alive, then shocked at her injuries. Zaid already knew, and White Chain was just as shocked a few pages ago. No particular aversion or plotting is really necessary here.
However, they may also worry that Allison’s return is going to mess up their plans. And they’d be right.
So, technically, is Zaid.
Interestingly, Allison no longer is, or at least, won’t be (by who we thought would be flanking her ) anymore. Prophecy is a funny thing.
DILF Zaid is rewiring my neural pathways faster than I can handle. Please send help.

Vladok’s true identity was Lots of Hair.
And, male or female, Vladock or Princess–they kept The Hair.
Vladok was very, very old. Perhaps he/she got rebooted to the personality from the younger days.
Mask color/evolution also affects personality and Vladok was ebon.
Vladok was a completely separate person to Princess. Different mask, different devil.
Introducing… ZAID SOLO
Allison Organa: I love you!
Zaid Solo: I know.
*sees Zaid* UH OH HE’S HOT
Yo, Gilden Princess Jack Daniels, skipped right over Green! They’ll be Ebon again before you know it!
HOO! Zaid, fully tits-out! Damn, he grew up FOINE!

I’m pretty sure it’s clear that Cio kept her names to avoid the risk of becoming Ebon again.
Cio remembered her time as ebon and could resume that path in a moment as seen in the Tower. Mostly she didn’t by choice.

Flanked by a White Flame and a Black Flame… 🤔
It’s interesting the three that have black on their clothes–Nyave, Vigilant Gaze, and Princess–look more worried to see Allison than happy.
Whereas White Chain and Zaid were very happy to see Allison.
Are there some pro-Allison/Anti-Allison camps here? Is the black on their clothing vs. the white symbolic of a split? Yis/Un or something else?

Aaaaaaa 10 Vigilant Gaze! Princess Jack Moonshine! Nyave!!!! They’re all here! And also they’re all tired from an endless war. 🙁
Abbadon, I most respectfully ask for you to draw Zaid shirtless in the near future. For reasons.
*mutters* Enough for a new anime plot…… *bites lower lip*
If you encounter shirtless Zaid on the road, well… You know.
I wonder what vigilant gaze would say knowing in another reality he has a whole line of mechas that look like him
I wonder if Princess Jack Daniels will end up just n only as … Princess
🙂
Any idea if Abbadon is going to Dragon Con next weekend?
Holy shit, Zaid is fucking ripped.
The Gang’s all here!
So uh… how long was the timeskip? I thought it was like two-three years, but the way everyone looks and acts here makes it seem more like ten+.
If you track the time skipa with Jadis, it’s been at least 4-5 years. 3 years, then another 6 months, then however long Mayas training took.
And not having Cio around in this merry group makes everything “Six Billion” times worse.
Fuck.
Why Zaid and Nyave look like they are in mid 50s here?
Dude. Mid-50s? Seriously? Maybe 30s.
Zaid has bigger boobs than Allison, synthol freak much?
Grandpa Vigilant Gaze! YaaaaY!!!!
My favorite character. Every panel they are on is gold 😀
The “armless” pun is so awfull that I actually did not get it immediately X)
Zaid’s grin is worth saving for the important negotiations, or whatever is a proper phrase in English for this occasion.
Friends.
I, uh, can’t help but notice that Factotum is flanked by a White and a Black Flame there…
So, technically, is Zaid.

put those AWAY zaid
