that’s the secret, every dance is the worm.
its all worms, even the ones that dont look like the worm.
what you think your muscles are made of? chunks? no, muscle worms.
its all worms all the time all the way.
And your brain, your eyes, your stomach, your liver, your kidneys, your intestines, your muscular tissues, your blood vessels… I think it’s safe to say Gog Agog is after most everything about you 🙂
Alternatively, they could simply be referring to the end of “a” world, but I personally agree with your take.
I believe Gog-Agog is an intentional parallel to Jadis. Both have experienced a form of ego-death that has granted them cosmic insight. One sees all time, the other is spread across all space.
The difference is how they react to the revelation. It’s like that one meme of two kids, one celebrating and one lamenting, both declaring “nothing matters!”
Ooh, lovely take, Preem Potato Potato Von Spudsworth III. I hadn’t considered the time-space depression-revelry consideration. Jadis’ vision of the Wheel is also distributed across space but I can certainly see a parallel
You’re neurons. If I take a handfull of your brain cells, will they be any supreme to worms? It’s a flame of soul that matters, not a mere substance, which is YISUN’s lie all the same.
“There’s no better time for parties than the end of the world. We throw one every time.”
Every time the world ends? It has been revealed to us by non-canonical scriptures that Gog-Agog is the oldest Demiurge, and I quote, “by a large, large margin.” Could she be surviving the universal resets that Zoss (or Metatron?) are initiating? Is she literally older than the multiverse itself, then?
This one looks forward to future developments in the tale.
I assumed the same thing when I read “by a large, large margin”, that some fragment of Gog-Agog has been surviving each turning of the Wheel. As she herself says in King of Swords 10-165:
“The Mass remembers!
The Mass is immortal!
And most of all-
The Mass always wins.”
Jagganoth also remembers multiple cycles of the universe. I believe he said something like he always fights the demiurges, and he always wins. It could be that Gog-Agog never steps into the fight, which is why she survives.

Season’s greetings little monkeys, hope you all have a spiffing solstice or whatever.
“The Leviathan Revue” is an oddly appropriate name for this celebration considering the whale-beast that is presumably still attempting to maul White Chain and Solomon as they speak. Or it might just be a reference to the divine beast mentioned in certain myths surrounding the goddess Aesma, including one featuring a certain other red god of destruction, but I’m not certain the Queen of Worms is literate enough for it to be intentional.
Hologram symphony, that’s the highest level technology we’ve seen since that TV in the arena lounge and that medical equipment stuff, and the artificial limbs.
I suspect that many of the conquered universes are or at least were high tech like our earth, but that they lose the ability to manufacture their tech when a demiurge rolls in. Then all the technological marvels get looted and sold to the highest bidder, with only rudimentary knowledge on how to keep it running
If I recall correctly, that is (or was) mostly a feature of Solomon David’s empire – he made a specific point of busting conquered worlds back down to a pre-industrial tech level because he felt that having access to technology beyond a certain level of sophistication gave mortals ideas beyond their station. That’s not a concern for Gog, since she simply assimilates the populace of conquered worlds and doesn’t need to fuck around with their infrastructure to ensure compliance.
I think that the issue is more one of transporting any such artifacts between worlds, since technology breaks down on the King’s Road. So industrial bases can get knocked down by any old god-king who rolls around, but if you want to build one up you’re doing it mostly from scratch, with at most some expertise imported from elsewhere.
I’m sure it was stated somewhere that the Alliance of the Five Part World forbid modern technology, especially military technology, but all the demiurges except Solomon cheat to one degree or another.
Mottom has her musketeer samurai and the priests of the long count have their ceremonial schitzo-tech, but Jagganoth has been shown managing tank factories, and Gog-agog has never known a rule she didn’t flout.
uhh. either I’m stupid or Allison is. Did she not notice the planet sized ball of worm flesh that Gog-Agog put together during their fight with Jagganoth? Gog-Agog IS Gog-Agog, there’s no “bringing her out” or whatever. If you’re talking to one of her, you’re talking to all of her… right? And Gog-Agog is just playing along with Allison’s misconception for fun?
You’re not stupid! Arguably Allison is, but that’s unrelated to this topic. The exact details of how Gog-Agog’s hive mind works were never really spelled out for us or her in the comic, so it’s not actually clear whether ALL of Gog-Agog’s cultist are in fact just more Gog-Agog, or whether she has a bunch of followers that merely aspire to eventually earn the right to become her, or whether there’s a spectrum of being or not being Gog-Agog (i.e. some people who eat the worm are more Gog-Agog than others).
In her introduction scene, a human-looking jester hopped up to Allison, and announced the arrival of “the spectacular, the one, the only-” before violently exploding into worms and reforming into “your pal, Gog-Agog!”, with her Key and atum very visible proof of identity. To me, at least, that implies that the jester WASN’T Gog-Agog at the start of that sentence, then became Gog-Agog very suddenly as part of the bit.
Later, though, Gog-Agog, declared that she knew where Allison was because she’s “pretty much everywhere”, and we got to see a few examples of people who didn’t have her Key and Atum, but did have her signature markings and (pretty, pretty) eyes.
Personally, I choose to believe there’s a spectrum of Gog-Agog, so some people are only sort of Gog-Agog and retain most of their individual personality, but have contact with the hive mind and can sacrifice themselves at any time to bring the true Gog-Agog into themselves. But I could be wrong, and so could Allison!

I love the art in this comic, that final panel is beautiful.
A pure believer in Kayfabe, a being after my own heart.
And your brain, your eyes, your stomach, your liver, your kidneys, your intestines, your muscular tissues, your blood vessels… I think it’s safe to say Gog Agog is after most everything about you 🙂
“Every time” huh
Gog did say that the mass remembers, perhaps far more that any other

Can Gog-Agog experience ego death? She’s worms. She didn’t have an ego to begin with.
You’re neurons. If I take a handfull of your brain cells, will they be any supreme to worms? It’s a flame of soul that matters, not a mere substance, which is YISUN’s lie all the same.
She doesn’t have one of those either. She’s a beast(s). Her soul is made of effervescent heat, not the Flame itself.
Thank God for a new page of this Magnum Opus.
Thank Tom for giving Cio a chance of coming back.

I assume she is referring to individual worlds, of which there are many, not the universe as a whole

She also explicitly states that even if Jagganoth wins “[she]’ll be fine”.
Now, the Worm is not exactly the most trustworthy of narrators, but I don’t think she had ever told a lie so far.
I think it’s just a morbid joke given a deeper meaning in the context, but we’ll see!
The fact that it only happens once makes it very easy to do every time, and is all the more reason to do it right.
A DEVIL, THE KING, AND HIS FAITHFUL JESTER WALK INTO A BAR
The bartender says, “Party of one?”
I liked that.
i haven’t commented here in ages, but i just *had* to say bravo to this genius punchline hahaha
This must be a good time for Gog-Agog recruitment. “You will die anyway when the world ends, so you might just as well eat this worm.”
“If you eat the worm, you really won’t care when the end comes.”
That’s one heck of a selling point.
Has Mother come to celebrate? We would all be blessed for such an opportunity to parade yourself out in the way of doom!

I’m sure there’s more than a few scholars who took the worm.
The worm has eaten every book known to the Wheel and plenty not, I am sure
The mass remembers everything, but values nothing.

Holograph also might mean brightly colored to use a definition of it, and GogAgog seems like the type to use obscure definitions.

Also, enter that Cio? entity…
Considering the threat Alison gave the last time Cio showed up, things could get very sticky very fast.
A mask is a mask.
Wear it long enough and you forget what is beneath.
Note well that beneath the mask of the clown there is only a lightless void.

It’s the end of the world!
Bow down to the Worm!
Oh no… my “recap episode clip show” sense is tingling.
Is Gog going to do a humorous summary of everything which has come until now?
Holy shit please this

Gog-agog is a pure believer of kayfabe
Could have meant something like what happened when she first met Gog Agog. Ie. Gog Agog herself and not Gog Agog playing a bit part.
To split hairs: It’s not that Allison is *stupid*.
Allison is a *Fool*, which is a form of royalty.
You’re not stupid! Arguably Allison is, but that’s unrelated to this topic. I’d say she simply can see and hear through any of her followers at any time (or all the time). And she can possess any of them whenever she sees fit.
