I’m thinking that White Chain has been given Solomon’s key. Guessing he comes out of his technique alive enough to pass it on or White Chain claims it before Jogganoth can. But it makes sense that Solomon might pass it on to her as the one who finally won his contest. He noted to Zaid that he wanted to pass it on.
Hoping that Pale devil might be a restored Cio. Could be we need to pay attention to the gold mask more and presume it’s a gold/guilded Princess instead.
the LORE in this title page…. white chain powered up, zaid looking more and more like zoss, gold mask princess, solomon alive, sad gog…. can’t wait for the rest of the book <3
Re-reading the comic, I still suspect Metatron is not… Metatron. I don’t really have much to base the suspicion off of other than that I never got any vibe from him other than a corpse that something else had taken up residence in, which isn’t unheard of in this comic (often in a very literal sense).
What a surprise everyone survived aside of Cio.

So the ones who were killed off are old dragon and old lady who would die soon anyway and Cio for very cheap drama sake and as excuse to bring buffed now Zaid back for Allisson.
Have faith, or don’t. Read and find out, or stop and feel superior in knowing another’s storyline before it’s revealed.
every twist and every turn Abbadon has brought us through with definitive purpose. if Cio stays gone, it’ll be for a reason. if she comes back, the reveal will be worth the wait.
(Also, from a narrative standpoint she literally didn’t die just for cheap drama sake. if cio stays gone, it’s a solid and strong narrative choice. you dont have to like it for it not to be ‘cheap’ )

Overall the comic turned out way worse than the expectation set by the great worldbuilding. About your typical Western grrrlpower superhero stuff at this point.

That’s sensible. You nailed it with your joke, I’m allergic to girlboss. Got no problems with other types of Female main character. Enjoyed reading FreakAngels ages ago and I love Prequel and Unsounded. but stuff like recently read Mind MGMT and K6BD make me bitter.
I’ll probably still read it to the end, just because of all the time I’ve sunk into it. I still think a lot of the characters and the worldbuilding is neat. Just feeling less enthusiastic about it.
I’m not taking back the meh on the Berserk face, I still think it was a lame decision. I know the author is a fan and I for sure don’t have the drive to create my own thing for free like he does. But still it’s so dumb, it’s like a pointless Family Guy reference “Hey guys look, it’s the popular thing!”. I hate it, it’s taunting me
Weird theory: the figure who looks like Solomon isn’t him, rather it is the Key of Solomon. Solomon is dead but before he used his final resort technique, he put his soul into the key and sent it to White Chain. The keys unlock power and since he was smashing the floodgates open and dying in the process, he didn’t need it for what he was about to do. The Key is guiding White Chain as his successor. Jagannoth is currently clawing his way out of the gravity well of a singularity, and it’s taking so long because of time dilation.
Huh… White Chain didn’t suffer the right-hand-side eye and arm loss that Cio and Allison did, then? Either that or her angel(/human hybrid… thing) nature healed her back up.

Agreed. I want to see where this story goes. I have enjoyed Abbadon’s writing and respected their choices so far and it’s been worth being on board.
