*sung in a waltz*
Once,
Once,
Once,
Once…
Once was a
Once was a
Once was a Thing.
It-has de-sired-a dance and-a-sing.
It-took-a left-and-a right-in-the ring.
Oh-what-a pi-ty-ful beau-ti-ful Thing.
*waltz interlude*
Who,
Who,
Who would have known
That-a-we would-have-to see-her-at THRONE
How-much-of her-ve-ry own-blood-has flown
Grin-ding-teeth crack-ing-bone and-crumb-ling stone.
*waltz interlude*
Wal-king-past all-of-us lady in grey
Hope-that-you just-get-to see her one day,
Learn-of-the king-and-the shim-mer-ing way
And-be-the fol-lo-wing Thing…
*waltz continues and fades in the darkness*
Far away in the cold north, where the icy winds temper the souls of men into iron, they say that the Queen of the Dead, whom they call Hel, is a creature whose left side is that of a beautiful woman, while her right side resembles a rotting corpse. A great wolf and a serpent who encircles the world are her brothers, and on the final day, she will lead an army into battle on a ship built from the nails of dead men…
“What’s that, you say? It’s useless? Ah, yes, I know…No, it’s still more sweet if all is in vain…Thousands…I know you all, you old enemies of mine…I know you’ll lay me low in the end…no matter! I fight on…you take all from me..Take (it)! Despite you, there’s something, though, I keep…that I bear, in spite of you all, that’s free of hurt or stain…
My panache.”

15 Guards the Darkest Depths and Recites History to the Shores
YES. DELICIOUS.
abbadon i’ll follow you from here to the absolute fuckin end. you said it was your least favorite trope and to stick with you bc narrative necessity and like.

i knew it was going to be painful and hard but GODDAMN the catharsis. The sheer everloving glory that is getting back up.
That’s all well and good but all I want to know is, where is the Rhyming Wax Head? It has missed the last twelve conclaves of the Coalition of Wax Drippers and I worry it will be getting… hungry…
And so we’re left with this.

Listening to that Horrendous track while reading the last few strips is certainly a feel.
Fuck it we ball.
Hail the Heir. Seize infinity. Break it over your knee.

“The Wielder of Names […] cuts the world as she pleases and she cuts herself into greater forms still.”
Does this mean she’s no longer alright?
Your average shounen manga would be proud of your random declaration of everything being fine now.

Optimistic Nihlism and the story if Sisyphus and the Boulder, basically.
Camus’ Absurdism seems like the most comparable.
Alison was a philosophy student, after all.
Consider this.
Consider how overwhelmingly *dangerous* she must now be that even a missing leg, a missing arm and a missing eye CAN’T STOP HER.
“The Breaker of Infinities” indeed!

I’m not entirely sure why she ripped out a perfectly good arm, leg, and eye. I mean, she did spite her face, but…
They were gifts from Jadis. How can we, or Allison, know that they wouldn’t betray her at a critical moment in the future?
“And that’s my Ninja Way!” [NARUTO battle music kicks in]
