I really like how you establish the pecking order by showing and not telling.
I can tell Jagganoth is way stronger than Dave. Who’s way way way stronger than Alison and company. And you showed it all through the character’s actions and attitudes.
And it’s all just drenched in this moody horror fantasy vibe. You’re really fucking good at this.

The multiple arms indicate transformation (or he’s just got a shitload of arms, ala Kali the Destroyer, but then A. Chaos has that vibe herself. Or themself…selves. Themselves.)
He could look like anything!
A glowing red Sta-Puft Marshmallow Man, maybe?
But does he have a Nether Region Vulnerabulb?

Kali usually has four arms. Durga has ten, which are often interpreted as representing the dasamahavidyas or ten great wisdoms, who are also goddesses in their own right.
But I think the most likely comparison is Raavana, who (tellingly) was not a god but a man, and acquired ten heads and twenty arms through his tapas dedicated to Shiva. Raavana is said to have become so arrogant that he challenged Shiva, his mentor, to defeat him in magical combat, at which Shiva pressed down on Raavana’s head with his big toe and made him simmer down. Yaun also began as a man but acquired godlike powers by subjecting himself to what can only be regarded as tantric practices, with Metatron filling the Shiva role.
Right, he knows that Zoss resets the universe each time that he kills the heir. He wants to kill Metatron this time… But first is going to kill the Demiurges and the heir… What makes him think Zoss won’t just restart things before he gets to Metatron?

I actually just picked this up last week so i havent felt the wait just yet. Im just relieved it isn’t a project that isn’t going to be finished. I thought it was just cancelled or something because i wasnt originally reading it here. But the wait will be intense im sure
Still mulling on why AC is lifting that island into low orbit. Especially now the Red God is about to break free and do violence to her. Why’s it so important? Does Rayuba’s universe have a close-in edge (crystal sphere? celestial soap bubble?) through which the whole thing can be thrust?
In a plot twist, Jagganoth is just literally exploding. It turns out that he is like a Prince Rupert drop. Under the right conditions, he’s invulnerable, but once you disrupt his surface tension he shatters into a million fragments.
