well this is an unexplained twist of events. Could it have something to do with the destruction of Theorn Knight? Or more related to the dethroning of a queen?
I feel for your drawing muscles, but these regular KSBD updates have been like a continuous early birthday present (it’s tomorrow) so you aren’t allowed to stop until we get an animated adaptation, video game series, and every damn body knows that the way to reach heaven truly is violence.
Jhorne the Murderous Vagrant Slays Monsters And Steals Their Loot
I wanna be like, “Dude, no! What if someone actually makes this abomination.”
But then I realized that if you find/replace the word “Day’ with “Kalpa” in a Princess Maker design doc, you are 90% done with your pre-coding development process.
AL-YIS-UN already knows why the palace just collapsed out from under her and White Chain. She killed Nadia while White Chain doesn’t know that Allison was the one to put her out of her misery.
I do wonder what AL-YIS-UN’s swearing sounds like to others through the filter of the Blue Devil Liquor. Does the translation effect render it as simply some exotic curse to inhabitants of the Wheel, or is it capable of turning the air appropriately blue?
In a multiverse this large, swearing must be a very old and very well developed art. There could be entire guilds of foul-mouthed curse-smiths and vulgar swear-poets constructing lengthy sagas out of obscenities!
A thought: is it possible that Mottom has, by virtue of the Red-White Art, transfigured herself into a new immortal tree, vaster and more powerful than even Hastet-Om’s leafy carcass?
Another thought: how quickly can I get out of Dodge without actively leaping from the palace balconies?
It is always concerning when one’s fortress falls, when it’s master is proved too weak to hold it up. More concerning still when someone comes to hold it back up, perhaps against your will.
One reason to witness the exercise of Division on such a scale is to see the lessons of true Royalty.
One could speculate as to this turn of events.
Is this the Evil Queen, using the last of her stolen power to strike at her slayer?
Is this the Tree of Woe, somehow freed from bondage in service to Mottom?
Is this the power of the ravaged world they gloated over, the spirits of the murdered forests rising to obliterate the symbol of the wielder of the axe?
Or, most likely, it is something else entirely.

I think it’s more likely that Mottom has snapped out of her BSOD and is now on the move.
The queen hasn’t been dethroned. But she is very, very angry.
She’s merely been defoliaged.
Nope, I think y’all are all wrong. I bet she’s either turned into a tree like her hubby, or her hubby was the true monarch all along….
Mottom’s far from dead yet, she just lost her ability to rejuvenate.
What thing did we just encounter that was a tree, hmm?
We now reach the stage of death; anger.
I feel like she ate what was left of the tree and now shes mutating horribly.

Nobody expected that the first offical Kill Six Billion Demons game would be a Thorn Knight dating simulator…
Yet it was oddly, quite romantic.
I’m confused. Was I supposed to be expecting something else?
I wanna be like, “Dude, no! What if someone actually makes this abomination.”
But then I realized that if you find/replace the word “Day’ with “Kalpa” in a Princess Maker design doc, you are 90% done with your pre-coding development process.
Yet somehow, we all did.
Preach.
How strange. My birthday is today.
And what a present we’ve been given, so many glorious updates.
To modify a Neil Gaiman quote: “Abbadon isn’t your b*tch”.
Happy birthday though.
Who still wants the virgin booty?
He dooooooo.
(This is getting insaner by the minute. Wouldn’t have it any other way.)
I believe, mostly becasue the branches look like feet, that your assumption is correct.
However, I would like to point out that you are assuming these roots are from Hastet Om, and not Nadia herself.
I actually have a prediction of who shall – uh- pluck Allison’s flower. Incubus. On of the seven dark emperors she must slay.
Falling is a primal fear, but one not firmly founded.
’tis not the height, nor drop that hurt
but being suddenly grounded.
She has recalled the word Glory.
I believe the queen has turned her island into a tree.
AL-YIS-UN already knows why the palace just collapsed out from under her and White Chain. She killed Nadia while White Chain doesn’t know that Allison was the one to put her out of her misery.
It’s to be noted that Mother Mottom has yet to reach her end. This has not yet been observed.
FEED ME, SEYMOUR.
Oooookey?
This daring escape aided by her competent saving angel is hopefully the beginning of a beautiful love triangle between Cio, Al-YSUN, and White Chain.
“Mercy”, they cried.
Here it comes.
I do wonder what AL-YIS-UN’s swearing sounds like to others through the filter of the Blue Devil Liquor. Does the translation effect render it as simply some exotic curse to inhabitants of the Wheel, or is it capable of turning the air appropriately blue?

Indeed, they are called fanfic writers.
One would expect it would come across not unlike devilspeak, from previously observed similarities in the vocabulary of the devil known as Cio.
Of course it would! We invented it after all.
Scary Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow?
With tentacle hells and screeching wails.
And little angels all in a row..
Time to trim some fingernails.
Y’see, in my experience, when cataclysms suddenly STOP happening, is when you run even FASTER.
I think that blue tree’s plumage is how White Chain should get their hair cut after this, it’d be a new style, a different type of mushroom cloud.
Mottom lives?
MOTTOM LIVES
Wait, that doesn’t sound right…
Perhaps for the first time in her life.
Also the last.
This is why you must practice the hidden art of Tracing the Horizon.
I had a similar thought: Perhaps Mottom gave her power back to her husband in order to keep him alive?
It is always concerning when one’s fortress falls, when it’s master is proved too weak to hold it up. More concerning still when someone comes to hold it back up, perhaps against your will.
BANISTERS FOR THE BANISTER GOD!
Did you really just stole my tweet? How shameless!
I certainly did no such thing.

A student of films, then.
I, Jawis-Tel, must grant the Demon Bard Abbadon, words of admiring admiration for he does indeed draw with such a master and such a fury
HO HEE HO HII
Mottom burst from the floor, wreathed in flame and fury, flies at Allison, and calmly says, “You dropped your wallet”.
She hands it to her, flips her the bird, then calmly walks back into the hole.
Only in this universe would one say “who is that” instead of “what is that”.
old queen’s Will ain’t spent yet, was just on pause.
C’mon Ally, run more! planty death awaits if you don’t! (Or: When’s Cio showing up?)
