Something that has been bothering me though is i don’t get why incubus is attacking Alison and her allies? Surely he isn’t trying to side with Jagganoth after betraying him last time?
It might be something I’m not remembering, but if anyone knows what comic page this question might’ve been answered on please let me know!
He cares more about Winning than about the consequences of victory. So at any given moment, he’s on the side who whoever he thinks is going to win. Sure he stabbed Jaggy a bit alongside the other demiurges, but when Jagganoth killed some of them he was suddenly on Jagganoth’s side again.
We can also a assume that those guild assholes who spoke earlier speak for Incubus to a degree. Jaggy isn’t actually going to do it, and if he does he surely won’t kill us rich people, and if he does it’ll all take so long that it won’t matter to us specifically. All of which is wrong, but people can use the rationalizations to back the guy who looks strongest.
Lo, I recall my ninth death, wrought of hubris and pride. I strode against the doom, beneath the banner of the Conquering King, the Chosen Unchosen. In prayer I begged forgiveness, in wrath I dealt violence. Yet at last I was undone, not by valour, but by a coward’s Thorn. Still, a worthy death.
A full-sized print of some Persian-themed isekai army clashing against a wall of gachimuchi BDSM private military contractors? I just hope no minors have access to the wall you’re going to hang that print on.
Sources say the battle spanned the entirety of Throne. Most scholars believe this to be an overexaggeration, but it helps to envision the sheer scale of the battle.
Jagganoth from inside its bindings: “Yes… YEEESSSSSSS!!!”
And so the Tumult, ultimately, is not what freed him from his bonds. Not because those who made them were distracted; their Purpose was too strong. Not because he gained any power while so fettered; his was already vast.
No, it was because the Tumult fed him, nourished him, filled in the cracks, and left him *enthused*….
Good Lord, man. I hope your wrist is currently on a well-earned spa retreat!

He took control of Jagg’s army by claiming to be working for him.
Ahh right and Incubus thinks he’ll be able to take Jagganoth once he breaks free? Or he thinks Jagganoth won’t break free? Or we don’t know yet?

I have caught up, to a glorious battle scene.
It’s been a hell of a ride to get here.
Remember when the battle of the teacups was a crazy detail-filled spread? How far we’ve come.

WOW I am obsessed with these big detailed pages. Such an incredible amount of work and attention to detail must have gone into this!

All funny pretense aside, holy shit that spread is GLORIOUS!!
I wouldn’t say no to buying a full size print of this to frame and put up over the fireplace.

I thought the ship were staying afloat atop the corpses. Maybe they’re made of bone and the corpses were not so decorative.

You can tell that was just a love tap from Al-yisun because the giant guy didn’t immediately explode.
