I will be satisfied if Alison punches these louts over the horizon.
But killing flies is hardly Royalty. And such an action – letting flies make you lose your temper – is what you’d expect from a brash, violent demiurge.
I will be *impressed* if Alison uses guile and diplomacy to win these louts to her side. That would be the action of a King.
36 Ringing Bell Shatters Theives and Heretics Both
While a King uses diplomacy, it should be discarded when faced with sufficient lack of politeness. A King must be capable of crushing flies, lest their poisoned bites and stings fester.
Sure is a lot of talkin coming out of the mouths of people who’re already dead… although to be fair Allison hasn’t pointed out that tidbit to them yet
I have been saving every quote in the description as an in-universe collection of texts for later assembly, and I just noticed that you’re putting quotes when we hover over the picture with the mouse as well. Now I have to pour over every chapter again and find the ones I missed. I love the comic, don’t get me wrong, i’d love to read it again, I just can’t believe i missed that.
Ok, I went through it all and got every quote between last night and today. Wasn’t too bad as you don’t have one on every single page. Looking forward to completion.
Any clue when book 5 will come out in print? Will we get a huge collector’s edition with every single volume in one book ? I REALLY would like to have the print edition all in the same size format, and bigger to appreciate the art more. a proper tome of kung fu angels and demons I can buy a spare of to lend out to friends.
Guys, you do see Auntie Maya right there, right? The woman who had a perfectly flat horizontal cut that stretched across the horizon? Why are you putting your ships in the same elevation band?
I don’t like to be a killjoy, but I’ll be glad when all is over. I keep reading KSBD because I like to understand what’s going on, being non native english speaker, it very often cryptic to me, and puting pieces of the puzzle back in place provides me good entertainment, but while I’ve read everything again the last two weeks, I realize I don’t *enjoy* where the story has been going since book 3. And I really dislike book 5. I don’t know why, I feel it’s maybe related to the big gaps in chronology and character development that occured all way there.
NB : I reminded also that what cought me into KSBD the very first time I discovered it 7-8 years ago was similarities with dreams I made.
I think I like Throne more than the story. I remember really liking the first book and the part before Mottom’s palace, first half of book 2. It was mostly all about the setting. At the moment the story started to roll, it felt off to me. Back to Throne in book 3 was a good-ish moment, but it’s at this moment I feel it really derailed into a lot more violence with the beginning of the war, and I’m tired of all the violence. But hey, “violence is king”.
And finaly, about book 6, It’s the really big fracture in Alisson character development that set me off. Like, it really doesn’t feel like it’s the same character. White Chain arc feels smoother in comparaison.

The lesson? Get advisors that can call you on such things, otherwise you’re going to be like that king- slowly bleeding out from a stab wound in a buttock because you can’t feel it due to the slow mercury poisoning from your fancy cup.

This analogy highlights the critical need for honest, challenging advisors. Without them, leaders become vulnerable to unseen flaws, much like the poisoned king. Blind spots, unchecked, can lead to disastrous consequences. Wise leadership embraces feedback, ensuring constant awareness and proactive mitigation. Ignoring this is akin to losing in a fast-paced Tetris game because you fail to see the impending block.
I wonder what it’s going to be like when Allison finally finishes everything she set out to do in this dimension and just decides to go back home. How fucking confused would her friends be seeing their friend come back as a grizzled war veteran that is missing several limbs and basically looks like a different person.
It’s no wonder that Yagganoth wants to destroy the universe seeing as the universe is a real shitty place to be. Thats because it is run by real shitty creatures like grinning brick face, sluggo, toadskin and the wirehanger broad. They dont have to tell you that they are megalomaniac, mysantrophic, powerhungry, sadisitc sociopaths they have it grown directly into their faces.
kill him with hammers for mean to her, that is my demand
u realize the reason shes called Nukoku is because we will very soon get Cioclassic(tm)
And Yabbie was the royal crown Ciolle
Vessian looks kiinda similar to Nukoku. I wonder if she is Praman Nand’s latest squeeze…
Bro is projecting so hard. He’s the one who tried and failed to bring back Yab.
If Allison doesn’t snap that slimy furball in half I will do it myself. Making Nukoku afraid like this… 😡
Presumably the remaining 5,999,999,999 Demons are on those Godships and Allison is about to live up to her title.
Airship battle lets gooooooooo
You have chosen the way of pain, followed by permanent oblivion.
What better way to show this is the final battle than to shoo out the clowns.
You can off everyone except for steampunk general Seth Milchick

A King does not kill flies. A King walks through them; and the flies splatter on impact.

You know, this really is a great looking page. Perspective, character design, blocking, pacing, etc. A most excellent page!
Oh, i swear i was sure the comic was finished…
Oh well? I’ll be present at it’s conclusion! What joy!

Made a little introspection about my comment.
I meant book 6 btw, not book 5. Anyway.
