I can’t help but feel that this page is political commentary on recent events. It’s just an odd hunch I have.
I also can’t help but notice they’re lined up in several rows in a narrow arc, and a single well-placed cut of sufficient length will bisect 90% of them.
i just had a thought about the possibly infinite range of consciousness and i realized something. most of the time in science fiction the aliens or humans are at different states technologically and such, and so there is a power dynamic, but what if it were an ideal society such that they wouldnt allow such to be dominant in the relationship, stewards having lived that saw the gape of the gap in social deconstructuring.
what if an alien and the base manner of how they maintain their own perception that to them anything a human does is maybe like a human watching a dog bury a bone or ants walk in a line; superior, maybe, inferior, in other ways, the human may be more advanced, but isnt that mostly just heart ache?
“We have been offered many assurances of protection” Yeah, all the fascist bootlickers were told so too. The assurances mean nothing when you become inconvenient.
Black Dragon of the Red River Under the Eaten Moon
Anyone else feeling an all-consuming helpless rage over this page, like the narrative knife cut a good bit beyond the page? Especially “-and that’s if his intentions are not just rhetoric”. That one was *blindingly* rage inducing.
Because goddamnit does that kind of idiocy feels real familiar right now.

the climate deniers showed up.

The rich never change, do they?
A reminder on why we must eat the rich… if we do not, they will eat us.
Of all the ropes I’ve seen subverted, the “omnicide is bad for business” trope is a first for me.

Ngl, it’s pages like these that make it really obvious that Tom means for us to read this in completed comic form.
things come to an absolute crawl at times that would work perfectly in a real comic but turn into agonizingly long waits in a webcomic format
