Damn, through the years of being a reader (since 2016) I’ve noticed how manly Allison became. Maybe this is the true path of becoming the best, and most powerful, to become a man.
Men do have a monopoly on the traits contingently equated with masculinity and the male sex but I’d argue incorporating the values, mindset, or in this case more so the looks and mannerisms from that concept could be done by a female without her second X shriveling up along with her ovaries
I think this is all smoke and mirrors from gog to make alice believe she won and to stop pushing. Her focus is exploiting desire and what Alison initially has wanted from the very beginning of the proposal, as stated by her a few pages ago, is to not get overtaken by the worms.
Maybe this is meant to count as gog being seen for what she is, being “put on stage” and not a member of the audience as she claims to hate but the exposition doesn’t feel very convincing or relevant even in that context, and its dubious at best if thats even her real desire. If she is so easy to hack it would have happened countless times in the past infinity, like come one, the percentage of people that prefer to live a comfortable lie isn’t THAT low. Also no knock off cio yet and she should be there
Interesting. One of Gog’s main deals is that if you eat her, you become her. You eat the worm, you become the worm. Maybe those maggots ate her, and thus became her. The hanged woman, who presumably was the one with the “eat me and become me” power was killed, but resurrected in the form of the wee beasties that snarfed up her corpse.
I keep seeing people say, she let Cio go. But I don’t think she has really. Otherwise, why would she have tried so hard to stop Cios leftover demon from taking the worm?
She would never have needed to go thru this Alison-verse trip if she hadn’t taken the worm.
The Gogs showing their true forms in the last panel would hit a lot harder if Allison didn’t look so completely in control (or we didn’t know she has all the cause in the multiverse to look that way).
The implication I got is that Allison is *making* the gogs do that. She’s feeling ready to go kill an unkillable god, and use gog as a weapon to do so. Whether she’s actually at the right stage to attempt that is questionable; Alison makes poor decisions.
So again… Straight non-combative Allison looks feminine while gay martial Allison is butch and acts overly masculine… just keep playing up those stereotypes Abbaddon, class act.
“For it is of old rumour that the soul of the devil-bought hastes not from his charnel clay, but fats and instructs the very worm that gnaws; till out of corruption horrid life springs, and the dull scavengers of earth wax crafty to vex it and swell monstrous to plague it.”
– from The Festival, by H. P. Lovecraft
So, if that is Gog’s first body….
“I took this form in order to survive”
Looking at her now, having been hung. I think I see it. Perhaps she was on top, the strongest, and so she became the first aware of Zoss and Mettatron’s machinations. Perhaps she attempted to escape by taking her life, but feeling the rope around your neck can change your mind, and she felt an immense desire to live. Out of spite, self preservation, who knows. But this desire was not strong enough to save her, but stuck around… Stuck around until the worms began to eat away at her body… Then something remarkable happened…
Wild to me that this is, I think, the first time we’ve seen Earth since book 2’s beginning. And it’s not even real.
There are as many Earths as there are grains of sand on the beach, brother. Do not let the illusion of one so familiar distract from the fact.
According to White Dhain, there are ‘only’ 330452 Earths. That’s a rather tiny beach.
This feels reminiscent of Abra rummaging around in Rose the Hat’s head in Doctor Sleep.

It is not about being “manly” or “feminine.”
This is the story of a person who starts on page one assuming they are a Bottom learning over the course of many trials that, in fact, they are a Top.

**that don’t prefer**
freudian slip
But how many of them had the original Key in their forehead?
Almost whimsical, but effective.

This seems likely, as was foretold in H. P. Lovecraft’s story, The Festival.

sooperspook is observant
The Lord imposes her will. As invigorating to witness now as it was the first time.
Allison what in the name of GOD
*Gog
I’ve finally caught up… And now I’m sad 🙁
Infinite spinoff potential.
Can’t wait to see them all.
Well, she’s The Worm now, and we do still love her. This can only mean good things.

I think the Gogs were moving to kill her but she stopped them with her control of their hivemind
Fuck, she’s so cool 🤩
My heart hearts for Gog, seeing how she began… alone and put there in violence. No one even took her down from the tree.
What do you mean, kid? There’s a stop sign right there. You’re supposed to stop at those.
I’m not familiar with the release schedule is it a page every friday?
Ish.
A page every friday-ish.
Sometimes there are several weeks without pages. Come back every week or so and see if things have changed.
Al-YISUN may have seen Dead Space.
Just saying.

The hanged gog- I mean god, definitely god
I like how Allison’s will is so strong she can defy a god’s will for control. Twitchy twitchy worm things can’t get a grip.

… Ok, I fucking love this.
I want the 50 page side comic though smh
