Typically, the ring is worn on the left hand. There are exceptions, but considering that Allison is American (I think?), this might not be a wedding ring. Then again, maybe this is a version of her that’s Russian, I dunno. Who can say?
The author is not American, wearing the ring on the right hand is surprisingly common in many European countries (where the author is from). Additionally, Alison could have married someone from a country/culture that wears the ring on the right hand.
It’s a common tradition for the ring be worn on the right during an engagement and then swapped to the left once married.
So maybe old lady Alison still having it on the right means the wedding doesn’t take place?
o, how many turns upon the wheel to find the final worm-truth, the untarnished perfection! is such a thing even to be found crawling among the segments of memory!
Also uh I have to say but the towers of gogs kind of look like a pastry called “gâteau à la broche” which are basically cakes cooked on a rolling stick that have little spikes on them
which i found pretty morbid, funny, and fitting considering the nature of the Wheel
Somewhat little known fact: Philosophy students have some of the consistently best performances in law schools of any degree track, including folks that do law right out the gate.
It’s one of the things philosophy degree seekers early on are informed of as part of the “what the blazes do you do with a philosophy degree in order to afford food” stuff.
There may not have been any course change involved, basically, just a natural progression for trying to function with a philosophy degree outside of academia, ha.
It would be incredibly comical if a philosophy degree was what allowed Allison to become Kill Six Billion Demons, The Heir, Wielder of Names, Seeker of Thrones, King of Swords, Breaker of Infinities, Wheel Smashing Lord, and undisputed God of Suffering
I would say it probably helped. K6BD appears to have no shortage of philosopher kings who haven’t achieved “sovereignty”. but Allison might be one of the first inheritors of Zoss’ power with that background and together with his little hints, that study might have given her the better base on which to develop her thinking and revelations which are allowing her to achieve the current progress.
Thats actually Zoss’ armor all the way back from the very first chapter! When he bursts into her bedroom. Makes me wonder if she become the new Conquering King?
Gog-Agog is quickly becoming my favorite demiurge. I can see why she is the most powerful. I love this so much, the concept of it, the landscapes. This is incredible. Might be my favorite page of the entire comic, in all honesty.
Interesting that even cycles where Gog overcomes Jagganoth eventually end. How? Because Zoss forces a reboot? In any case, it’s clear that Gog can be the tool Allison uses to cut her way to Royalty.
I think it’s been pretty explicitly stated that someone wins, THEN Zoss reboots. Which kind of makes sense, before someone’s total victory there’s still the faintest grain of hope that things turn around.
If anything it kind of hammers home how much Zoss is at another level than the demiurges. He’s a parent looking at some kids in a playground.
Multiple layers of simulation? Perhaps the goal is to convince Allison that she has “escaped” Gog’s simulation when all she’s really done is go up a layer?
No, Allison specifically says she’s trying to go deeper here. She’s looking for something inside of Gog’s memories, not trying to escape. (I don’t think Gog could hold her if she wanted to leave, and honestly so far Gog hasn’t indicated that she’d even try.)
Where you are going oops.

Oh Worm?
OH. WORM…….
OHHH……. WORM!
Worm up, yo.
For all I am:
My mind is my own.
My soul is my own.
My will is my own.
My thoughts are my own.
My memories are my own.
My experience is my own.
It doesn’t have to be! Just eat this worm…
My worm is my own.
….
My chains are my own.
My desires are my own.
My hungers are my own.
My time(s) have always been my own;
and always are now;
and always shall be;
… Even mine own soul shall surely starve to death, eventually!
And yet, what would you ever have to say, now, or yet much later?
There the greatest strength in choosing I over the limits that the multitudinous flesh desires.
Can you see all of me
Walk into my mystery
Step inside and hold on for dear life
Do you remember me

Roadtrip to the Goglands
yooooooooo who’s that ring for
local ships need to know
Sadly, that’d be the wrong finger. 🙁
Combined with a form of fusion gog had found all the energy she would ever need
Wrong finger in an american-centered culture. She could be just engaged in south america, or europe.
That is THE ring finger, no?
Typically, the ring is worn on the left hand. There are exceptions, but considering that Allison is American (I think?), this might not be a wedding ring. Then again, maybe this is a version of her that’s Russian, I dunno. Who can say?

The Author lives in Goergia
There are multiple Georgias
It’s a common tradition for the ring be worn on the right during an engagement and then swapped to the left once married.
So maybe old lady Alison still having it on the right means the wedding doesn’t take place?
Or she’s engaged and is going to be married (much to her current surprise)?
The end of all things.
Gog may have made a mistake…someone’s infinity is about to get broke.
Her eyes may have been bigger than her stomach.
But only all at once.
HOLY SHIT I’VE never been so early. Woo damn. HO HO
o, how many turns upon the wheel to find the final worm-truth, the untarnished perfection! is such a thing even to be found crawling among the segments of memory!
Also loving the matrix towers with scythegog watching over them.
Also uh I have to say but the towers of gogs kind of look like a pastry called “gâteau à la broche” which are basically cakes cooked on a rolling stick that have little spikes on them

nice to see i’m not the only one who thinks the Worm’s birthplace is Rouergue

LAWYER ADVENTURES GO
I will see you next Tuesday for the hearing -Corporate Allison
Its interesting that Gog called her a Law Student but Allison corrected her to say “Philosophy”.
So possibly Gog was working on her knowledge from this cycle where Allison changed courses to be a law student and became a lawyer.

If anything, a philosophy degree trains you to Research Things and Argue.

It’s okay Granny!Allison, I also struggled at figuring out that shrine puzzle.

Gog is a Matrix!
Breaking into MY consciousness, going through MY memories, calling ME the fool!?
-Gog, probably
I didn’t realize that Gog was a fan of Everything Bagels.
Damn that armor and prosthetic arm look badass. Probably not a very happy cycle, based on the brief glimpse, but a sight to behold regardless.
Thats actually Zoss’ armor all the way back from the very first chapter! When he bursts into her bedroom. Makes me wonder if she become the new Conquering King?
THE Plot Armor, it works! But not in a way one may think.
By the seven! Or is it now the five? Or the one? Matters not. This is epic. The Beast is more monstrous than she would like others to think.
please keep your arm and leg inside the worm at all times
And your arm. And your leg. And your other leg. And your other leg. And your third reincarnation. And your bagel (no, not that bagel, the other one).
The time Gog won sure looks fun.
This is awesome

Agreed, utterly captivating. Abaddon does it again
Multiple layers of simulation? Perhaps the goal is to convince Allison that she has “escaped” Gog’s simulation when all she’s really done is go up a layer?
but is gog truly infinite? how many gogs until she hits the top? it may be gogs all the way down but is it gogs all the way up?
Gog said they don’t remember the beginning, the first or first few cycles, and they nearly surpassed the conquering king…
Is Gog Alison’s Shadow?
No, Allison specifically says she’s trying to go deeper here. She’s looking for something inside of Gog’s memories, not trying to escape. (I don’t think Gog could hold her if she wanted to leave, and honestly so far Gog hasn’t indicated that she’d even try.)
