Do you think that the knowledge stored in Gog bodies is replicated or is she forgetting something that happened some random trillion years ago when one part of her dies?
Well, Gogs became a universe spanning mega-being due to needing more physical storage for all that data…. Maybe if the Gogster is more than twice as big as a Gog needs to be, the Gog can keep a copy of everything? Or maybe Gog “backs up” the things that worms consider important more heavily, and leaves some info to chance.
The impaled Gog above might have been the esteemed sole-holder of what a different piece of Gog had for breakfast some infinite Wednesdays ago. Presumably after the nth time that breakfast was invented.

Ah… I think her being able to survive is tied to her time merged with Alison. That’s what allowed her to become something new.
