Solomon’s method appears to be a cultivation novel style energy absorption and refinement. So he’s made a big withdrawal on the ‘keep physically perfect’ account to fund the ‘stupidly expensive sealing technique’ one.
For the humans among them, it is all ritual ultimately. it works because they believe it to work. But in reality all a keyholder needs for immortality is that key, if they have sufficient willpower to make their immortality reality. That so many of them have stooped to lesser magics shows tremendous flaws in their character, and why many of them should never have held a key. They lack the ultimate faith in themselves and place it on external things.
Why are they dragging back whashed out salami? what do they need him for anyway, all his magic is within Whitechain, and the guy has less motivation than myself when filling taxes
David still has the power that won his keys and appears to be coming ever closer to Royalty if the Hansa vibes aren’t a misdirect. Plus, what sealed Jag, who had three times as many keys as Solomon, wasn’t based on the keys at all so far as we’ve seen, just ki rata and a disregard for somatic integrity.
The idea that only those with keys have power kinda gets smashed by the fact that Allison, with seven times the keys and hers not being copies, has never been able to successfully stand against a demiurge without support.
I can appreciate her desire to bring him back, but if he really doesn’t want to she can’t make him. You can’t make Solomon David do anything he doesn’t want to do. He will almost certainly break before he bends.
So I hope this leads to something besides just trying to break a granite wall with your hands, White Chain.
I may be wrong, but I don’t think she wants him back in charge, but to deal with his shame AND to defend the nation that he formerly led in the face of complete annihilation.
To own his past errors and to defend his own people even if he is not in charge.

I don’t think ol’ Dave has become weak, really. he was quite powerful before getting his key, and I believe that he’s only grown even more powerful over the years. as such, I predict that our beloved white-chain is, as they say, fucked. could be wrong tho-prabably wrong, even-so we’ll see.

He knows that a man such as him, can do so much in 10 days. He just needs persuading to do it.

Yeah, watching a lot of Kamen Rider will do that, I remember how eighties ninja movies made me believe it was a good idea to jump off my house’s roof and out of a tree, luckily only did each once and without injury, but it still hurt. Wasn’t until later when watching some Ultraman episodes made strike stupid poses again.

To be slightly on more serious side, his is just stepping outside the causality, thus “screw it, being killed doesn’t mean I’m dead”.

If White Chain can’t defeat Solomon in ordinary combat, as seems likely, it would be wonderfully ironic for her to defeat him with her key.
