Seeker of Thrones 6-59
Chapter: 6
The final winner of the devil contest! But not quite the final member our party.
This was inspired by a written entry and a drawn entry together. I really liked the first idea of a devil that had somehow cajoled the beggar dead into working for him, and I really liked the cape of coins/coin eyes in the second design, which both help play very well into what is going to happen next!
The dead tend to be ineffective beggars.
They spend their pity too freely on the living to get any in return.
Hrm, Cio is looking very Yabby in that last panel, isn’t she.
Indeed. She looks almost ebon, apart from her mask. Is she wearing a purple suit, or is that her skin?
Ciocie Cioelle! All Hail! Her horns grew two sizes that day!
In the top five all time of comic characters to grace the interwebs.
You’re all leg, huh Cio?
how tall is Cio?
Most blue devils stand between two and five feet tall. My guess is the Cio is probably around four or five feet.
So, er, how do you pronounce Cio’s name, again?
(See-oh-see-ah)(See-oh-el-ah)
cee-oh-cee-ay cee-oh-el-ay
So I realised the words to “Bring Me a Bottle” fit a bunch of old folk song tunes, and I thought I’d give a go at recording a couple versions of it.

(If this isn’t okay, just let me know and I’ll take them down, I just really liked the song and wanted to give it some music, and I hope other people enjoy it too!)
Well handled. The second version is close to what occurred to me, personally.
Not even the dead are safe from the curse of gold
Being a product from the Hot Black Flame tacitly implies that oneself has an unspoken desire of sitting or standing over piles of golden items.
So that’s why the dead turn to begging.
I’m worried for Cio
I already miss Ciocle’s floofy fluttery fancy clothes. Hopefully she will wear new and more ostentatious costumes later.
What a happy bunch, they’re always smiling.
From description and form Charon seems to be a green devil.
tbh I will always see this guy and think “hehe – they have the same name as a soccer mom
I just updated my recording of Bring Me A Bottle to add the final (?) verse. I also cleaned up the mix a bit.

I didn’t get a lot of feedback from the preview version, but what I got was positive. Thanks for listening. 🙂
And once again old chap, it’s damn good.
It sounds like a lost work from Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht. I could see this being sung by Lotte Lenya.
Lol, why Cio’s hair has become so long since her last appearance? But yet I love her.
Blue devil’s hair length can change at will, and consuming it medicinally can cure diseases of the mind.
Oh my God. Ciocie, you look so good, babygirl! Let’s hope you can steal as well as you dress, or all your new friends are gonna die.
Plan for freeing Zaid is:
– collect a heap of gold in front of Ys
– wait till Mammons servants come and get it
– ???
– Profit.
lovin the monitor lizard color scheme on Charon, so cool!
What is ole’. Is this shortening of something or just an article. Explain please its hard for translation and understanding. Thank you
“Ole’ ” is informal “Old”,as well as “lookin’ ” or “livin’ “, I hope it helped.
Short for old.
It is the word “old” spoken with an accent my friend. It has a “d” so soft it disappears.
An unusual version of old. One could perhaps write it ol’, as well, since the e is silent.
So. Er. Nice outfit, Cio. Looking…very good.
Is anyone else troubled by what Cio’s going to look like as she changes forms on her way back to blackest Yabalchoath? Can you imagine her as a red, for exaple?
TEETH
Charon…a fitting name, when he swipes the air does it leave an opaque trail of ash?
Anywhere you can find the full lyrics to the devil drinking song?
good question. I was surprised to find someone didn’t do a cover of it
