Almost certainly. Allison’s peers are members of a closed world, and hardly likely to be the absolute best in their field. Meanwhile, Nyave has had the knowledge and wisdom of 111,111,111 worlds (some of which are probably at least at Allison’s Earth’s technology level, if not greater) poured into her head, in competition with, literally, her entire world. She is in (at the most) the top ten in her field of study, and she’s likely a panologist.
4,899 Multiverse Begs For Permanent End To This Idiot
For such a long time, Om fed the best and the brightest of the children of worlds as fertilizer to her husband. A magnitude of loss and pointless waste that defies the ability to comprehend.
So they have electric desk lamps in Mykos? I’ve been wondering how long it would be until we saw people from the demiurges’ worlds using electrical appliances.
Sometimes the comments here are more inspiring and interesting than the comic itself (which is an amazing feat, as the comic is just THAT interesting.)
I love this site. Not just the comic, but this site. Keep up the wonderful stuff, folks.
1) She is actually piloting the ship RIGHT NOW. It’s only a strain when she has to do something hard. Like politely convince a wounded new King with a lot on her mind that they shouldn’t chuck the pilot of the craft out of it while it is in motion.
2) Praise and validation for being a competent multi-disciplinary academic badass is awesome, because I bet in spite of her rigorous training it’s hard to come by. It’s also what got her sent to Mottom’s city. It feels good but, in light of recent events, maybe terrifying?
3) Alison’s reaction is FUNNY. It’s probably not wise to laugh in the presence of someone who flipped the bird to Mother Om and got away with it until Nyave gets to know her just a little better.
…You know. Like you do, when in the presence of Royalty.
Throne, of course, has an innumerable number of secret societies, sects, and organizations, each with their own hopelessly arbitrary codes, customs, and regulations. It is strongly recommended that you don’t even bother trying to gain any especially attached affiliation with any of them- it is hard to imagine it could ever be worth the hassle. It’s just a downright silly concept, if you think about it- if any group ever had the power to do anything important beyond the watch, rule, or approval of the Seven, you could bet a hundred-fold your weight in black glass they wouldn’t exist by next week.
I believe the record for most memberships to secret societies held by a single person was held by an immigrant whose name is now physically unpronounceable in the universe- once his “brothers” found out that he was an agent of over three-dozen different orders, he was cursed so vigorously and repeatedly that his very presence in space-time, forwards and backwards, was smudged into oblivion. Well, maybe it was a he. The stain that was left behind has since faded, and it wasn’t particularly clear even when it was fresh. The only ones who might know anything about it now, certainly aren’t telling.

I can see why murdering the gods and toppling their thrones is a good thing now; such wastrelry for such an ignoble purpose such as immortality. Tsk, tsk…
The article is well arranged. I see the writer has a real knack for this topic.
I like that subject, and I’m in constant search of new bits and the
most recent news. I really loved that one, because it is full of interesting facts and it is a
kind of article. I spent only a few minutes reading, and due to
well-structured text, then I understand it completely. Thanks!

Love the hover text for this page. Always a great pleasure to read this comic!
I cannot overstate the importance of a good pilot.
I somehow wonder if her education is actually so much better than one of Allison’s peers who happens to be a nursing major.
Almost certainly. Allison’s peers are members of a closed world, and hardly likely to be the absolute best in their field. Nyave seems to have similar education to Allison. Best friends best friends best friends best friends! Also looking forward to Cio’s explanation.
Only the best for Mother Om… and all she did with all that was gut ’em and feed them to her zombie tree husband -_-
What’s with that face
For such a long time, Om fed the best and the brightest of the children of worlds as fertilizer to her husband. A magnitude of loss and pointless waste that defies the ability to comprehend.
Aaah, of course, the hidden gem shows its promise. I’m sure we’ll se more of her later on.
Chekhov tries to dictate with firearms
Gibson sees him off with a throwing star.
But yeah, I think I agree.
Allison may not know that her homeword has 1,000+ HP Allison V12 Engines.
Just noticed, Princess’ speech bubbke is white. That on purpose?
Ah good, the angsty teenager phase has come to and end, now then LETS KILL 6 BILLION DEEEEEEMOOOOONS

Wow, all that training, just to get eaten. What a horrendous waste. Hmm, but is Nyave truly content to simply latch onto the coattails of Divinity?
Also, Nyave looks a lot like Human!White Chain. Or maybe that’s just me.
I saw the best minds of my generation hung by their feet to let the blood drain from their sliced throats.
You know, I don’t remember this much hubbub about the TV in White Chain’s house two books back. At least not as much as that Panel 8 Lamp. 😛
