Yes! “We’re both entering the tournament to maximize the chance of one of us winning, even though we might have to fight each other (at which point we will reconcile the interpersonal conflict between us)” One of my favorite tropes!
(also, are the alt text and description text switched?)
Unless, of course, White Chain is incapable of shaking off the bad influence of her brothers, attempts in earnest to take Allison’s Key through brute force, and is subsequently banished by her. In which case reconciliation would come much later, and by that time, so much else might have gone wrong…
With the way white chain handled the other guy that beat allison in her goblin raid, this seems like a better decision anyways. Why doesn’t the red god just sign up and take this kingdom if he’s confident it will take the rest of the 7 working together to beat him?
The thorns doubt the student. The student doubts the master. The master doubts the path. But who along the path can doubt the torment to come. But this one is glad to see that the robed IPS-N Raleigh might have some perspective to give the wanderers in this wayward world.
Are you suggesting that the Prophecy might not have been a binding agreement, even if Metatron and Juggernaut Star hadn’t already killed the possible future where Zoss gave the Key to Zaid?
Next you’re going to tell me that the True Heir isn’t even going to kill The Seven.
Lady Falentra, Foreign Affairs to the Half-Fallen Kingdom
Ohoho, I am glad to see Preem Allison taking her first steps in learning the artful mastery of Apology. A universal, all encompassing but still underrated skill!
While I hae seen many fools digging their own grave apologising incorrectly, their most common mistake was not planning or thinking, which Preem Allison already learnt to do – despite her previous failure at doing so for her plans with the little tournament!
I do in fact do private lessons in apologizing, by the way. You wouldn’t be disappointed, and if you would be my apology will be legendary!
Lady Falentra, Foreign Affairs to the Half-Fallen Kingdom
Oh my, I intended this to be it’s own comment; I have sloppily stumbled into your discussion like an unaware child into his dad’s meeting! I am so sorry to have disrupted your conversation by my carelessness, please ignore my comment and continue it!
Truly quite the unfortunate mishap, my words do seem quite out of context now… I again apologize for the trouble, fine gentlemen.
Well, it is quite nice to see our dear heroine has learned to accept other people’s insight enough plan an apology. I was starting to ear she might regress to her pre-heist demeanor.
But the question is… what is a mini IPS-N raleigh doing in the torunament?
First of all – A much wiser approach to the problem would have been:
Go to the tournament – as spectators!
See who wins how against whom! Then act upon the outcome.
(Would’ve been less fun to watch? But trust Master A.!)
Second of all – I’m looking forward to reading and seeing what Maya does/did in the meantime – and what CIO!!!
Third of all – I’m still wondering if I’m just paranoid – or really caught a glimpse of Lucky Felicia amongst the troopers of Solomon – David 😉
When and where? Look for yourself!
The student must fight her master because of circumstances beyond their control. Fuck yes! I should have known Abaddon would use my favorite kung-fu/wuxia/chinese storytelling trope! This is gonna rule
P.S. Allison won’t admit the truth to white chain. She is the true heir and she knows it. Even though she is arrogant and sure she can prove herself in the tournament, she acquiesces to White Chains belief in Zaid. Perhaps she know’s the angel’s naive patriarchal beliefs won’t be changed until they have no other choice.
Except that the red rings don’t show up when in the void either. If anything, it could indicate Juggernaut Star’s ‘presence’ if you will, as if keeping a close eye on White Chain.
We’ll probably learn the significance of it at some point.
So, how long until Princesss signs up to avoid being left out of the fun?
You assume she hasnt yet signed up without telling the others.

“You mean I have to fight everyone in this death tournament, including the immortal wizard god who sent me?”
The angel being brutally defeated by some third party warrior and Alison avenging her could also be interesting but is less likely to happen.

Obviously, because that would immediately make all of the others ally against him. It is much better strategy to get them to fight each other first.
Dirty Deeds 101.
Do you think the Red God would belittle himself to accept the rules of another god’s silly games?
Do you think he would trust Salomon’s word?

What’s the border between people and gods in that multiverse? Strength? Immortality?
Because that just wouldn’t be as much **fun**, of course.
Also this the hierophant is it not? I didnt expect him to be so sneaky
Allison, you’re so mercurial !
Greetings O’ Mysterious Aeon !
I’m going to start a band named Thrash Allison.
It our favorite Tortuga Thicc Boy spying on the lasses.
Angels are allowed to sign up?
Doesn’t seem fair.
There are going to be quite a few embarrassed angels when it finally dawns on them that Zaid is not the true heir. Should be fun.
FOOLISH AEON! How can there be a true heir when YISUN is a LIAR?!

The angel calls Allison’s endeavor foolishness but they forget that is it is the fool’s blade that separates gods from their heads.
Hey, White Chain is pulling a Gandalf here.
*This is a reckless plan with a minimal chance of success, but it’s also the best one we have, so I’m all in.*
That was Gimli, wasn’t it?
“Certainty of death…small chance of success…What are we waiting for?”
Yup, that was Gimli, alright.

I hope Allison still remembers how to make a double venti half decaf doppio con panna mocachino, cuz White Chain is gonna slap her back to Starbucks!
Aww!
See? She does care!
We all say and do stupid shit when we get emotional.
My Ys counterpart has had cause to be angry at me these past 4 Kalpas.
Ammunition drains
This is axiomatic
Boredom afflicts the undead?
A tragic fate for the dear Wax Head.

This true heir bullshit is trying my patience. Zoss knew what he was doing. Prophecy is meaningless.
but the tensionnnn
I love how the only person who thinks Ali is the true heir is also mindfcking her.
_ineffable plan_.

Im starting to think Alison really will give the key of kings to Zaid and incidentally also become royalty in doing so
cronch
I was wondering when the flat-headed angel would show up.
If one looks, they will notice that White Chain’s eyes are now ringed by red.
Two pages earlier, this was not the case. On that same page, the red ring appeared as soon as Juggernaut touched White Chain’s shoulders.
Hmmm. Are we sure that’s White Chain in that body?
Except that the red rings don’t show up when in the void either. If anything, it could indicate Juggernaut Star’s ‘presence’ if you will, as if keeping a close eye on White Chain.
We’ll probably learn the significance of it at some point.
Called it! 😀
