This is by far the COOLEST god of the seven part world yet, imho. I love this kind of body horror, I find it fascinating.
It will be interesting to see how Allison reacts; considering how Cio keeps giving her the cold shoulder, I predictwe’re about to see an impulsive reaction from our heroine.
So Allison is going to go charging off after her Wasband now? Sheesh, for a semi-mythical supernally powered godlet she sure is a drip.
Hrmm… Figure Zaid was the whole reason she returned to Throne to begin with. He was also somewhat indirectly the reason she spent the last year training: so she would be able to take on the demiurges and rescue Zaid.
At any point has she has expressed interest in defeating them in order to take over Throne and become the King of Kings?
When Allison returned to Throne, she was a tiny fraction of what she is now. To think that she still has the same motivation now as she had then – that being the rescue of some schmuck she barely knows – seems terribly unlikely. If, however, her motivation is and has always been self fulfillment in the form of seizing her godhood, then we are just waiting for her to realize that. Make a lot more sense than chasing after homeboy.
Hrmm… I reckon she wasn’t such a small fraction of her current self. Sure, she knows some magic tricks and kung-fu. But you do her a disservice to think she would no longer care what happens to Zaid. The first panel bears that out.
If her only motivation were self fulfillment by achieving godhood then why would she bother to topple the DemiUrges at all? Arguably she already has achieved godhood by virtue of possession of the Key of Kings. Roll credits?
Chasing after “homeboy” is part of something bigger. It is a moral journey, and proof of commitment to doing the right thing, even if it isn’t easy. If she can’t stick with the basic, morally right, goal of saving a single human being for even a year, then how is she going to rule the multiverse as the King of Kings for eternity?
There’s text and subtext here. Sure she outwardly is still after Zaid (though it’s a marvel that she can even remember him) but what about inside? When (if?) she finally triumphs she may find that she cares little for him. Even more dramatic would be for Allison to be forced to kill Zaid in the process. These are the kind of difficult choices conquerors have to make.
Hrmm… I think that’s a given, that she will care little for him after she rescues him. And I’ll agree, part of her shock is very likely that she forgot all about him while she was busy preparing to rescue him. Now that she’s been reminded, should she just leave him to his fate? “I came back to rescue you, but I got distracted with life and things, so you’re on your own now.” Seems kinda fickle, and not “kingly”, IMO.
Would be quite dramatic for her to kill Zaid. Have to say, he has likely spent the last year being told that he is the Heir and that the Key is rightfully his. How will he react if she doesn’t willingly hand it over? How will she react if he asks her to hand it over? Figure we’ll have to break out the popcorn… sometime next year, most likely, LOL!
Smoke rolls in across the Tay
Fifer, farmer, burning hay
Sirens, what have you to say?
What does the siren say ? *takes handcrank driven siren from fanny pack*
Something like that :
*wwheeeEEEEEeeeeewhhoooOOOOOoooowwwheeeEEEEEEeeewhooOOOOoo*
Sirens lurking in the mist
flashing blue at warning dist-
-ance. Sailors getting pissed.
Funny how her stance seen from the back tells you all about what her expression must be right now :P.
Exit WORM Stage Left
Exeunt, as the mouseover tooltip says. In stage instructions, you use “exeunt” when more than one character leaves the stage. And it’s hard to get more plural than Lady Agoga.
Would her end be considered a murder or a genocide?
Asking for a friend.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR A BODY
Some assembly required.
Why would Allison give any shits about Zaid?
I’m sure I’ve lost track of all the reasons she can’t contact him, but yeah–my first idea wouldn’t be “Enter a deathmatch tournament to win him back”. Write a letter, send a spy, throw a party and try to meet him there? There must be other ways to communicate with the guy.
I feel like beginning from this chapter plot’s internal logic became weak overall.
She’s a hero on a quest, about to rescue a damsel. You don’t mess with logic when heroes are about to go heroic.
Also, we actually don’t know what she plans on doing. So far she just heard the offer. Her companions will undoubtedly tell her what a stupid idea this is.
Or the logic and/or reading comprehension of certain readers went flying out the window. She is doing this not out of care for Zaid but for the principle of not leaving someone in this shitty situation when she has the ability to get them out. She has said this IN THE COMIC. It’s supposed to be a good thing. A sign that Allison for all her faults is a good person.
Her whole thing so far has been trying to rescue Zaid, remember? She got tangled up with Mottom trying to find him, broke into Mammon’s bank because she heard he was being kept there, and last heard he’d been sold away to someone else and never learned who. He can’t exactly be called her boyfriend any more, but she still feels responsible
Yeah, I don’t think that she’s trying to talk to him at all. Objective from day one has generally been to rescue him. Hell, we haven’t even actually SEEN Allison’s reaction to the deathmatch tournament offer, either. She has a new life and new goals – she might not even want to rescue the guy anymore, or she may at least be hesitant. I think we got a few folks gettin’ themselves some steely, supple calves from jumping to conclusions.
Hrmm… Said this elsewhere, but it bears repeating…
Figure Zaid was the whole reason she returned to Throne to begin with. He was also somewhat indirectly the reason she spent the last year training: so she would be able to take on the demiurges and not get her @ss kicked, and thus rescue Zaid.
At any point has she expressed interest in defeating them in order to take over Throne and become the King of Kings?
“I choose King”
but at the same time, she seems more interested in helping the demiurges be less shitty people/rulers, than actually killing them.
It is her nature to cut things into new shapes. Those shapes don’t always have to be corpses.
In letters of gold and iron it is written; “PRIDE”
Perfect entrance , perfect exit. Gog-Agog is awesome entertainer .
C’mon , aren’t you entertained , aren’t you thrilled ?
*honks jubilously*
…distressing.
…
…distressing.
“’cause I’m smart”
Oh my. What is she going to be like when she grows up?
Well, she seems nice.
Imagine how great the worm lady must be in the sack, she will use all of your holes you didn’t know you had all at once.
Given that she runs most or all entertainment , and brothels definetily fall into that there must be lot of agreeable Gog-Agogs that demonstrate all that in practice. Visit Gog-Agog brothels , tickling worms for extra pleasure !
*honks*
Imagine going to church and praying to our lord and saviour YISUN.
Hrmm… Does Allison still care about Zaid? Reckon the first panel answers that question: shocked look, tilted ground? Her plan just got thrown for a loop.
What plan? Well, the whole reason she returned to Throne was to rescue Zaid. The reason she spent the last year training to take on the demiurges without getting her @ss kicked (again) was to rescue Zaid.
Opportunity just knocked. Time to stop tidying up the house and answer the door: the party is about to begin.
Y’all see Cio’s hand on Allison’s back? That’s a friend showing support to someone who just had her world rocked.
Eat the worm, become a pile of squirm and bat shit clown crazy, but hey it’s never boring!
*honks and laughs*
can we PLEASE space the clown?
Here at Concordance?
Like, how even?
Asking for a friend.
…Sadly, I initially read that note as ‘not a suppository.’
I can’t decide if Gog-Agog is more disturbing, or hilarious… Possibly both
Those last three panels are fucking great/awful/enchanting/disturbing, just like Gog-agog
love it when the green fades from my eyes as I de-possess my worm meat vessel
A hundred thousand worms ponder what it is to be a woman.
And now they have to clean the mess.
Lame.
All those worms… are people who ate the worm!!
God for the people , made out of people ! I tell you Gog-Agog is best !
*honk-honk*
Oh HonkerBonker
*Cue Laugh/Crying track*
Now did she have this all planned out or was this a spur of the moment type situation?
Gog-Agog sure knows how to toy with hearts, but its my humble opinion that, in time, that toying will bite him in the ass
Well that was something. Something disturbing.
Mhmm… Gogagagog Pork and Beans
