I can’t help but wonder what Allison’s parents and friends are thinking and would think if they could see her now. Do they think Zaid murdered her? Is there a police investigation? Did she show up in their living room one night and cause them to collapse in shock, try to get her committed to a psycho ward, and/or immediately book a consultation with a plastic surgeon who specializes in scar excision? Do they simply presume their little girl is dead? Does she have any siblings or are they facing their old age all alone?
Is it just me, or does it seem like many of the god corpses are well preserved enough that it would be believable if one day they just … woke up? Particularly with the help of AL-YISUN. It’d be one hell of a checkov’s gun
A year-long time skip? That explains why Allison’s hair is so long in the cover page of Book 4, but jeez. What about the pursuers on her tail? Has Zaid really been Solomon David’s prisoner for an entire year already? What about Allison’s and Zaid’s friends and family on Earth? Aren’t they wondering why Zaid and Allison have FRIGGIN’ DISAPPEARED FOR A YEAR???

A full-year time skip? I’m … uncertain about this move, but we’ll see. I guess I understand it partly, Allison couldn’t be expected to get powerful enough to take on Solomon David overnight, but it seemed like there was a *lot* of imminent character development we’ve now just kind of … skipped.
