So… no cool character development where we get to watch Alison grow as a person as she trains in the Empty Palm style? That’s… not exactly good writing.
A year long time skip?
What about the pursuers, hot on her tail?
What about seeing her ACTUALLY grow and change and accept who she is?
What about seeing her rag-tag team that she had only known for like a week when we last left her, grow to become closer and actually become friends?
A time skip seems like a cop-out to showing us actual story progression, and not having to fill a few plot holes left behind.
Pacing, my fella, pacing! I think we’ve already rather firmly shown her growing and changing, and we’ve already seen the party agree to grow and learn together, skipping ahead at this point is perfectly alright!
As far as the pursuers go, I’m sure we’ll get an explanation for what’s been going on with them.
On the other hand a training arc would be pretty tedious to read, and probably also to draw. There’s only so many ways you can show someone practising the same strikes over and over before it gets boring, and frankly we’ve already had three books of Allison getting her shit together; I think a fourth would be pushing it, especially with events proceeding as they are.
Strange. I would not have thought that a year could pass faster than fools could die. Surely we should be deep into a multiversal war by now? Did all those scheming gods and angels just forget about AL-YISUN and collectively agree to have a long nap?
With the Power of the Key at her command, and the martial arts mentoring of an angel, she must be the most fucking awesome barista in the known universe.
Bugger loaves and fishes. The way to win adherents is with good coffee.
The anatomical comments today are amusing. Yes, as drawn Allison’s hands are out of proportion. Her right foot is also somewhat out of proportion, but on the other hand her left foot is pretty accurate.
However, her head is smaller than it should be, and nobody is complaining about that. Her huge anime eyes are way out of proportion, but big blue eyes on girls meets standard prejudices so nobody complains about them either.
If you want to get picky her ears aren’t quite right either, but for fuck’s sake people this is a comic. In case you haven’t noticed, the whole damned story is not realistic.
Get over it.
@Abbadon: your work’s great. It may not always be perfect in every detail, but what masterpiece ever is?
I’m not sure if that means he’s still got some kind of influence, or what. Or just an interesting parallel. But seriously — the scars, the hair, the clothes, the bare feet…

Is the resemblance to stigmata accidental?
*exultant screams in the distance~*

When you’re a few thousand years old, a year is enough time to ignore.
So, if she and Solomon ever face off, they’ll each first disrobe, then flex their muscles, and then compare their hair.
Major Armstrong, where are you when you are needed?
I mean, this is great and all, but her hands and feet are now HUGE.
Yuri hands.
Cio just sweating all the gddamn time
got jacked. I’m kinda hoping we immediately or shortly go into a flashback to SHOW the training montage.

RIP Punished “Venom” Allison… we hardly knew ye. 🙁
Anyway. I totally wasn’t expecting this, looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Be still, my ferociously pounding heart.

I kinda expected some training montage, but I guess this will do.
Mirror mirror on the wall
who’s the SWOLEST of them all?
Observation: Allison looks a LOT like the Waking-World version of Incubus. Especially with her hood on.

These eyes awed, a glimpse at tha sun, perhaps? Violets lay in her wake, Sweet Sappho. What feat, what measure, choked breath for more.
So-o-o-o… She’s going to beat up on a statue?
