To me, 10 Vigilant Gaze has just either broken our girls’ seats or blocked them entirely upon sitting down. Also, his finger tapping against his forehead sounds like an empty flowerpot. These are all lies, of course, but they are also truths to me.

10 Vigilant Gaze! I love this guy. I did not expect him to show up and provide some perspective. What a treat! White Chain may not be as much a goner as I feared.

Must have been pretty great to be fused with Alison into a big woman! I mean, who wouldn’t want to be fused with either one, but both of them fused together would just be…uh…hmm…y’know…incredible…so…um…probably best if I stop thinking about it…

I see one problem though, Solomon would certainly have fought a few angels during the Universal War and if not, would have heard stories from others (there was even a below comic text of an army fighting an angel and the angel exploding), So, while he may or may not know the precise breaking point where an angel explodes, he is very likely aware of what does happen. Therefore, if shrapnel is going to be a problem, he’d likely do something about to protect himself, though that’s IF he sees it coming.
While I doubt that angels are able to make an undamaged shell explode (unless maybe it was of shoddy construction), I suppose in theory, with enough damage, an angel could basically rip their shell apart, forcing an explosion.
There’s also the issue of whether it needs to go from 100% integrity to 0 in a split second (as happened to Juggernaut Star’s first shell, though it was a proxy) for it to explode or if it can still happen if it started from 50% integrity. We just don’t have enough data points to know how exactly it would happen because a lot of people thought WC would explode when hit by the 30 cubit spear and that’s not what happened, creating more questions than answers.
I wasn’t suggesting she needed to explode–simply intentionally tanking a hit *through* a part of her body to scrape his silly exposed skin along a sharp edge. Even a fragment of paper can draw blood, after all!
One would imagine him being fairly impervious, Allison’s eyeball was after all, and Solomon though he has a key of lesser power is much more practiced and able in his demiurgery.
Allison’s invulnerability was proven vulnerable tho, when Cio almost clawed her face off, possibly as she was in an emotional state at the time. It might be difficult to get Solomon in such a state.
One wonders if he will see that sister White Chain is not giving up even in the face of insurmountable odds, and at perilous cost, due to Allison being able to inspire this in her. He may be intrigued and respect this more than any of the other competitors, or any of his offspring, and fight White Chain to a standstill, neither of them winning, neither losing; don’t know.
This was probably brought up in some earlier thread that I failed to find, but is 10 Vigilant Gaze the same vaguely sphinx-like angel angel that greeted White Chain when she was temporarily banished to the void way back in the beginning? “HO THERE, COMING OR GOING?” Same font for speech bubbles, same over-the-top speaking style?

I like how in the 6th panel, Allison’s expression is all like “Yeah… it was weird.”
and Cio just has that look of “Yeah, we ‘fused’ alright.”
The irony, of course, is that this is the single angel most famous for saying hello.

We’d do well to remember that White Chain need not *BEAT* Solomon.
She need only draw blood, if I remember correctly. And, well, her shell is made of a rather hard substance that might hold an edge if broken…
I feel it in my bones still that she’ll win by exploiting her own failures, that her very weapon will BE her weakness.
(I am, admittedly, drawing on the knowledge and expertise of renowned Murine philosopher Dangerous Beans.)
