It looks like the Mother weaving the restraints and the the Maiden and Crone deploying them. So are they maybe … baby reins? To capture the scared child inside the Red God?
Jagganoth may be invulnerable but even immortals can be bound; a life sentence would be infinitely torturous for such a being. So, he will be imprisoned. I suspect Allison will eventually realise he must be freed.
(or maybe he’ll just fuck everyone up now to save time)
The binding spell is in the form of a kusarigama, which is a challenging weapon-spell to use/cast/manifest, but I would imagine that the magical powers are compressed to pierce at the start and to bludgeon at the end.
Regardless, it always leaves the target a gory mess.
This is feeling heavily foreshadowed. Ages ago (or just yesterday, depending on your frame of reference), Allicio was in a stalemated fight with White Chain.
And, to go forward, she forged her righteous anger into a new weapon.
And she aligned her will, and the three parts of herself.
And she blew her foe halfway to the void.
And still she lost the battle, but many hearts were changed and many wonders seen.
And now I’m on the edge of my seat, waiting for some outcome more profound than simple martial glory.
This page is exceedingly epic, and now we have three, count ’em, three demi-urges working together. Four if you count Salami Dave’s recent contribution. Whoa, a quorum!
But I’m thinking whatever they lay on Jaggy-bones isn’t going to hold him down for long.
The only ones we’re missing are Master of Vascularity Inky and the ubiquitous wormy one, Gog-A-Gog. She acts like a ding-a-ling but there’s a certain “everywhere-ness” to the conquerer worm. What would HER signature move be? Or maybe “moves”, ‘cos there’d be a whole lotta wiggling goin’ on.
And I gotta think, no way this is the grand finale, folks. This battle may continue for 50 pages, but based on our experience thus far, I expect all sorts of adventure after, and/or as a result of, the current smackdown.
Maiden, Mother (Om), and Crone
Jokes aside, I am LOVING this chapter. Evil as they are, seeing the demiurges work together, seeing their full abilities on display AND flow together so seamlessly, is so fantastic. I can’t wait to see how it goes horribly wrong
Interestingly, Gog-Agog hasn’t done anything yet. And on the cover of this book she looked distinctly unhappy, as if things hadn’t gone her way at all. Plus, why did Jadis impale her on that icicle at a moment when they were all needed to fight Jagganoth? That icicle was the longest that grew out of Jadis’ crystal, and it went straight through Gog-Agog, like Jadis did that on purpose. Considering that Jadis is said to know everything, does she know something about the Conquering Worm we don’t?
The icicle was comedic effect on the part of Gog-Agog, probably purposeful impalement. If she actually wanted off, she could’ve just…. flowed off of it. We’ve seen her dissolve into worms before, and frankly, if you’re not powerful enough to de-impale yourself, what kind of Demiurge are you?
Part of me wonders if she’s up to something right now, like gathering enough Gog in one place to actually be useful. Or maybe she’s just utterly useless in a fight, and only became one of the seven through being practically unkillable and being able to steal keys via worming their holders. Though, I’m skeptical of that, since Abbadon personally confirmed that Gog is 3rd place on the Demiurge tier list, after Jagganoth and Solomon.
Excellent .. Amazing .. I’ll bookmark your blog and take the feeds also…I’m happy to find so many useful info here in the post, we need work out more techniques in this regard, thanks for sharing.
Triple Goddess.
Young Mattom seems so powerful and full of pride. I know in my heart she was so vibrant and kind. Shame.
Agreed! Child Mottom had so much potential…
;_;
Motton went from 0 to Glorious in the span of 5 pages
Guess you needed to see her bad side to know how brilliant she could shine
“Blood Flower Curse”?
Can’t believe they’re gonna beat Jaggy with menstruation.
It looks like the Mother weaving the restraints and the the Maiden and Crone deploying them. So are they maybe … baby reins? To capture the scared child inside the Red God?
Triple Goddess
Ah, some of that old time triple-goddess dancing nekkid in the flowers under a pale full moon kinda witchcraft. A true classic.
Measure. Bind. CUT!
Everybody is letting loose with their special moves!

Everyone has such flashy moves I can’t wait for Alison’s “Literally I’m Just Going to Punch Him in the Face”
Well, it’s a simple strategy. But simplicity is beauty, beauty is truth and truth is divine, so it tracks all in all.
Crusty old bag sure was hot when she was younger
this fifth book is fucking insane

Scrappy kid, sultry queen, unhinged grandma
Mottom: Skilled but not chock full of raw power.
Finally gets to cut loose.
But she kept a flying city afloat for millenia by willpower alone! I don’t don’t even have enough willpower to skip dessert.
Elves in socks, and the bestest of kids. You can’t pull this off in a house of many.
Imagine the last panel as a big poster on your wall… Glorious!

It’s all holding me waiting for another panel all the time. But i kinda miss Cio and others already.
