Wielder of Names 6-111
Lord Intra gathered his retainers, who were hungry for tutelage. “Lord Intra!” said his sandal bearer, “What is the first step on the path to Royalty?”
“There are no steps,” replied Intra, “It is zero-sum with your reality. It is not measured in finger-lengths.”
“Lord Intra,” said his bodyguard, “Is the path to Royalty the path of struggle, then?”
“No,” said Intra, “One may attain it without any effort at all. It is, in fact, the antithesis of struggle.”
Intra’s steward was very discontent with his master’s evasiveness. “Lord,” he said, “Allow us lowly men some small measure of understanding. For sympathy’s sake, and the sake of we good and loyal servants, please tell us in plain language the nature of Royalty.”
“I will tell you precisely what Royalty is,” said Intra, “It is a continuous cutting motion.”
-The Song of Maybe

A true warrior ends all duals with one stroke. Be it combat, or debate.
Having a blade like that must make it easy to store.
They say that the proper bisection of an angel is an art surpassing the skill of mere mortals. Such is the nature of their shell. Such is the nature of mortality.
Yet for those mortals whose will is keen as a knife’s edge… well they can surpass their nature, can they not?
If, on your journey, you should encounter God: God will be cut.
Rest in pieces.
Called it! Arise, 7 Juggernaut Star Scours the Heavens…
That’s less of a victory than bisection usually obtains…
Fortunately, the sanctioned action is still to Cut!
“my only apprentice is an idiot speck of a girl with more talent for eating than skill with the blade” – Meti’s Sword Manual
Well damn, I’d like to see Maya eat…
Ahh, but we did! We can see the aftermath of here meal here, right about the time the 108 fools began their futile chase:

‘It’s just a flesh wound!
When did this woman become so badass?!? Did I just fail to see? The character was always intriguing, but now she is straight up angel slicing awesomeness!!
Did you enjoy your tea, 7 Juggernaut Star?
In fact, he was somewhat of an expert.
In all my time this fool has never seen a mortal cut the armor of an angel in half. I thought things like this only happened in older times, by demiurge and as man say in those Japanese anime.
It has taken about a minute and the lives of a few dozen warriors to accomplish what took General Yross hours and a similar number of soldiers. Now, where’s that explosion?
Ok now we have 2 of them.
Sometimes one has to bisect their problems.
RULES OF NATURE!
And they run as the angel blows up,
With their lives on the line.
ALIIIIIIVE
For a little while.
NO CHOOOOICE
Got to follow the sovereign key.
HOROSHO, VERY GOOD
Cleave apart maybe.
I thought they were scars.
Now time to clear the area before Juggernaut explodes.
first time i’ve noticed that she is covered in scars on her arms & legs
Goodbye, 7 Juggernaut Star
The act of cutting is direct defiance of God.. at least that is what a man thinks.
The more enlightened, of course, know that all things are divided in reflection of YISUN’s divine suicide. Those who have mastered the art of cutting merely know how to turn this division into separation.
6 becomes 7 while doing his best impression of Asuka from End of Eva.
And now, if they’re smart, the survivors will start running like hell.
Such a pure cut. Clean.
And might I just say that for all the flak he’s getting right now, I’d like to compliment Juggernaut Star on his mastery of being cut. Truly, his form is exquisite.
That was predictable yet satisfying. It was pretty obvious that the mysterious recurring figure who can cut bullets with a broken sword was a monumental bada**. But it is so nice to have the knight of thorns taken down – it has been a little too arrogant.
Well, that solves the problem of how to clean up the wreckage.
As a side note, consider the posture of 6 Juggernaut Star Scours The Universe.
Awkward positions are an inevitability in a melee, of course. Denying the opponent perfection is what separates an apprentice from a journeyman in the art of violence, and Murder The Gods And Topple Their Thrones’ sudden assault reduced 6 Juggernaut Star’s options for counterattack considerably.
But that stance.
That is not the stance of an imperious butcher of his lessers.
That is the stance of a desperate man trying to buy himself time.
You make a good point.
It seems it is deeply unwise to “catch” or “block” the properly wielded Blade of Want.
The Blade of Want and the Maybe Sword are different things.
While possibly matched, they are also opposed: one is wielded by a god of gods; and one by a sworn deicide.
I would dare to say that it is a weakness endemic to Thorn Knights: a warrior that has known only victory performs rather poorly in defeat.
