The Blade Arts page really lands. Watching Maya lose an exchange this badly makes his line about it only being about winning feel less like bravado and more like a philosophy she still has no answer to. Curious whether the next update gives her a counter-argument or just a sharper blade.
The color work in this chapter keeps getting better. The way the gold and violet light splits across the wheel in the last few panels is something I keep coming back to; it reads almost like stained glass. Really curious how Maya handles the fallout next page.
Can’t be that easy.

Maya managed to cut the neck of a master of the Head of John? I suppose the uncuttable boundary could be higher than I assumed.
And so both Meti’s students embrace the path of the especially sharp rock.
Look at all those cuts…. he won.
WELP.
A fine demonstration of the sword technique commonly known as, murder the gods and topple their thrones.
Unfortunately I figure with all his weird fucked up blood magic he might *actually* be “fine”
lmao get his ass
