That is the tragedy. Michael always cared. The fundimental difference in his and Vigilant Gaze’s actions is to whom they finally aligned after eons of inaction. Both set out to set a broken world to rights.
Many evil men believe their actions are beneficial. But we must ask – to *whose* benefit? Michael’s “restoration” is a restoration of Law, of Hierarchy, and of his own angelic authority. He wishes to Retvrn to a past that only looked beautiful because he was lucky enough to stand at the top of the pyramid, blind to the corruption of Royalty rotting his so-called paradise to the core. Michael is nothing like Vigilant Gaze, for he worships the false, impossible divinity of Eternal Power, and so, unlike Vigilant Gaze, who fights for the liberation of all, any “good” Michael seeks to do will only be good for the powerful.

Metatron and Himself are Koss’s own greatest experiments… and his greatest failures.
Himself wasn’t made by anyone. I’m pretty sure he is the Red Eyed King that seduced Aesma. Aesma being Alison, and him being the only heavy hitter we haven’t seen unleashed, I think the embodiment of ego will be the real final boss of this story.
Himself was originally summoned as a regular old pallid devil, though He would try to deny this fact.
