Cruelty is not innevitable but something worse, it is easy. The option is what makes it so potent and distructive. You are given the choice, you are free to choose your path but the path to cruelty is flat, straight and clear. It is easy to go this way, that is why so many do it. The path of kindness is rough, winding and often blocked so only the strong, the brave and the foolhardy will go that way.
How quaint, these people seem to equate kindness with being nice. Oh how very DROLL. Look poppy, in my old life I learned the hard way how to be kind. We LEARNED it, I didn’t know kindness before that. I knew how to be nice, polite all that civilized crap. Then I learned kindness… I also was educated on how being nice is oft time unkind no matter what the thinker thunk. I’ve seen more malice done nicely than I can shake a stick at. p.s. the robots and fascists think I’m one of them HOHO, this is setting up some Big Julie time.

10 Vigilant Gaze Purges the Horizon is a kind Angel and a great Friend.
Something I don’t see mentioned, Vigilant Gaze isn’t sharing something he learned in his long life, this is something he has gleaned recently. When we met VG, he was sitting, as he had for time out of mind, with the other angels. I think he is referring to himself as someone whose “believing otherwise only engenders passivity.” He wants to enunciate what he has learned, pass that lesson along, and, in case of his likely death, receive that message in turn.
