Hey! What’s this thing? This . . . let’s call it a tail – yeah, tail. Hey! I can really thrash it about pretty good, can’t I? Wow! Wow! That feels great! Doesn’t seem to achieve very much but I’ll probably find out what it’s for later on. Now, have I built up any coherent picture of things yet?
No.
Never mind, hey, this is really exciting, so much to find out about, so much to look forward to, I’m quite dizzy with anticipation . . . Or is it the wind?
There really is a lot of that now, isn’t there? And wow! Hey! What’s this thing suddenly coming toward me very fast? Very, very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide-sounding name like . . . ow . . . ound . . . round . . . ground! That’s it! That’s a good name- ground!
I wonder if it will be friends with me?

So the bones of gods have an inherent floating property. One wonders why, then, the many corpses of Throne are not orbiting above the city all the time.
One also wonders if this means gods found it exceedingly easy to cross large distances with a single leap.
I spy 46 guns in 22 turrets, comprised of 20 two-gun turrets, and 2 three-gun turrets. The text says there are 50 guns, so I suppose there are two more two-gun turrets out of sight?
Obviously Godbone floats because the Gods were full of helium.
What other matter was there back then? We didn’t get anything else to work with until hydrogen was formed, and you know that’s only ever been good for making Angels. Its like the thaumaturges of this age aren’t even trying to keep track anymore. Somebody in Throne needs to crack open a book on nuclear astrometaphysics!
I cannot not hear Meta Knight´s theme playing in my head at the sight of it.
I am a real sucker for flying battleships. All the details and measurements are so cool to learn about.

What a fun toy for the pinnacle of violence to dramatically destroy in another page next year sometime. : >
I can see the bit setting up right now. Panel 2 of the next page is this ship in flames, right? We’re getting Worf’ed.
Like a whale fall giving new life to a deep sea reef
‘whale fall’, what a beautiful phrase. It’s also what whales say when they trip.
