All these Allisons and the one to end it all is the barista.
Her happy life with Cio suggestsAllison’s selection as inheritor has occurred before and isn’t necessarily a mistake since she had the key there just no scars and Cio’s comment suggesting they never went to the vault. But that Grandma Allison is also the Allison who should have left Janis’ temple since her arm and eye are missing. The armor or arm would have come from Aunty Maya and Jag was only set to be contained for a few more days which means… its a version of her that defeated Jag and just… lived until death? But the cycle continued.
I cannot even begin to articulate how weird it is to be seeing a whole-ass regular car in this comic. Like I know there was a part in the first book where Allison was back in Her Earth but a CAR? In MY KSBD? It’s more likely than you think (apparently)
So Allisson is now using Gog’s own memories of all realities she lived through so far to travel into them and see her own fate in these other cycles which happened before?
Cunning.
But what she is really looking for where she fully knows these are just memories and not something real anymore?
Maybe for Gog these all are always real happening all the time in her mind, but what she is really looking for here, even if she will look through all other realities she lived through what does that have to do with going deeper, she knows all these other cycles failed anyway to current final result.
To see Gog own real self in that memory hell?
Don’t tell me we soon will learn Allisson was in relationship with Gog in one of these cycles and that’s the reason current Gog is so interested in her from that time.
Or Allison wants to see the moment Gog became the Worm herself? What if original Allisson is Gog herself in the very first playtime of some distant cycle and she is the one which started all of this?
Gog is the “first” original Allison who took the Worm or became the Worm and what she is now over time.
Our Allison is another current variation in the resetting circle of Allisons, all past Allisons aside of Gog either died early or later or were consummed by Gog.
Or…it’s worse (because KSDB). The towers are what happens when Jaggy loses and Gog kills off the other demiurges. Everybody is saved, hoorray! But maximal worm everywhere and no more festivals. Maybe the tower people are dreaming nice thoughts. Or maybe Gog no longer cares for them and they can scream forever.
Which might make Allison’s old life, that she hated, the least worst outcome.
“But this isn’t me” gives me Granny Weatherwax vibes (from that one story that ends in a shattered mirror, escaping from which requires knowing which reflection is the real you). Royalty is a certainty that cuts through all lies.
I’m curious avout how “Gog’s” “memory” works. Since this is not hers, is Gog’s memory actually access to her people’s memories? Does it include timelines where they didn’t become her? Isthere something (soul?) persisting across resets to say that this one is “you”? Does she have to process/sort through things manually for everyone? Did Zoss and Allison get mixed up ? Are normal peeps conscious that their experience is a rerun? Man.
Also, pretty pictures *.*
42 Fragments the Universe Beyond All Reintegration
Gog stated a few pages back that only a really strong recruit would retain their identity, viewpoint and memories implied. Allison is one such. Note how she’s drawn somewhat separate from the tower.
But Gog is rattled by the jumping between memories of different cycles. Why?
My bets are on the mortifying ordeal of being known. Gog said that “only the very beginning is lost to [her]”, which suggests it may be a repressed memory, and I’m guessing that isn’t exactly what she wants another person to find, nevermind the one with the King’s Key.
The least interesting guess is that Gog-Agog is used to being the boss in her domain/self. And can’t fathom someone doing whatever they want.
Slightly more interesting is that, while she strives for chaos and unexpected, because she’s seen everything already, she’s not fond of/used to her *plans* being derailed. Or maybe she expected it and is just a good actress. She is, after all, most actresses.
When this comic cannot go any better only it actually does. Adore it.
Pure joy on every single frame. Yeah, Zossed Allison poses some weird question, but, this being KSBD, I believe that Abbadon will elucidate this matter eventually.
Thing is in my country the ring is usually worn on ring finger of the left hand as engagement and then marriage status goes, after reading a bit in some other cultures it is the ring finger of the right hand too, but from where Allison comes from meaning USA it should be ring finger on the left hand to symbolise marriage/engagement and not the right she is wearing here.
Makes you wonder where author goes with this.
don’t you hate it when you wake up from the flesh Matrix, attract the Scorn of the reaper clown, and realize you Have no Mouth but you Must Scream.
Thursdays am I right?
When Gog said she was going to rearrange Allison’s guts, I didn’t think she meant into enormous meat spires. Terrifyingly not a euphemism!
Everything. Everywhere. All At Worm!

Gog-Agog the King of Worms looks very human. Stranger than strange.
Like all her bodies, that one is made of worms. Her only ‘true’ form is the worm.

drawn as only a man who yearns only to draw mecha can render
Better Call Gog
Aha a man of culture

Is it just the artstyle, or Gog and Allison strikingly resemble each other?

This shit is so fuckin cool. I love you Abbadon
It’s the Matrix but flesh, good God I’m gonna have nightmares.
Memory lane is gonna suck.
The towers look like a cycle where the Red God did kill “everybody” but Gog survived that. This would be Gog’s last memory before the reset.
The stones on the hillside must be a different cycle.
Or…it’s worse (because KSDB). The towers are what happens when Jaggy loses and Gog kills off the other demiurges. Everybody is saved, hoorray! But maximal worm everywhere and no more festivals. Oh Gog, I love her eldritch majesty Agog!
Are you plagiarizing Scorn too now?

multiversal
Casually breaking out of the Matrix like a chad
Matrix moment for a bit there in panels 4 & 5
Get Weatherwaxed

Ah, and just cannot resist the temptation:
Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Gog Agog Throne wgah’nagl fhtagn!
That’s a brutal transition. Atleast to some even the thought marriage is truly heavy. And I wonder if Alison is that type.

Well this went really metal really fast for a moment
Wait wait wait. Isn’t this the FIRST cycle of Allison bearing a key?
So either Gog is simulating realities for her mind to experience. Or she’s premembering Ali’s future grannydom…

Thursdays am I right?
Book dutifully purchased!
Looks great.
Woah, is that Gog Agogs “Real” self? Looks cool as fuck.
