WHEEL SMASHING LORD 3-70 to 3-71
Chapter: 3
The song of loving – the song of strength. The heart-armor, blood red, that withstands all obstacles.
Set this in your center like pillar of star-iron – You exist.
Oh lover mine, oh enemy mine, you will stand erect forever. Nothing will blow you over.
Relish in your self-same violence. You exist. That should be enough.

You were expecting another demiurge, but it was me, Dio!
No chance, that’s what you got.
“Remember when you were about to have sex with Zaid and the Conquering King came as soon as he touched your thigh? IT WAS ME, ALLISON! I ran the cycle at super-speed so it seemed like the Conquering King got beheaded at Juggernaut Star’s slightest touch!”

The greatest has-been there ever has been.
So in what iteration of the cycle did the fish become the chosen heir?
One catches a fish with a worm. Every single cycle Gog Agog conquered was followed by the fish being the chosen heir
Word is that in some of the early cycles, the worm was overtaken by a conquering bird, though it also may have been the remnants a goddess who merely thought herself such.
Sounds like somethink Coyote would do.
Come on, TURU, stop drink-and-typing again….
COYOTE KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!
Please tell a story about me
Once upon a time, Coyote was hungry, and wanted cookies. Coyote therefore stole thirty dozen cookies from the king’s bakery. There were many witnesses, and so the king wanted to put Coyote on trial for theft; however, Coyote reminded them that animals are not subject to laws because they lack human rationality, and coyotes are animals. The king conceded that this was a good, rational argument, and the charges were dropped.
[THE STORY NOW HAS AN INTERMISSION]
After the Intermission, Coyote decided it was time to eat the cookies. However! There was an exciting plot twist: Coyote had forgotten that he was a carnivore! And carnivores do not eat cookies. To solve this problem, Coyote used his magic to be able to eat whatever he wanted. Coyote then ate the cookies, several small rocks, a cloud, five gallons of water, and an unfortunate passing bluejay who was on her way to visit Tulsa. And Coyote was happy (for the time being).
The end.
An excellent story, and obviously true, since robots cannot lie. However, I think you accidentally omitted the postscript!
POSTSCRIPT:
After Coyote’s meal was done, the bluejay lay sadly in his stomach, slowly letting itself be digested. She wondered how she could still be alive and aware after being eaten. But then she remembered, “Oh! I am GOG AGOG too”! And then Coyote remembered he was also GOG AGOG. And then they were ALL happy, because GOG AGOG is always happy and awesome and cool!
But then she was bored, so she asked for a story about Coyote…
Also, FYI to those not in the know: this whole thread is a reference to the fine webcomic “Gunnerkrigg Court” by Tom Siddell. Go read it for more stories about Coyote, and also some other loser humans I guess!
I’m sorry, sir, I was just passing through, but I have to tell you — the trickster god Coyote existed long, long, long before Gunnerkrigg Court.
Your little vore story has done more to make me not want to read Gunnerkrigg Court ever again than Gunnerkrigg Court itself
But while the bird got the Worm, it was too early one time.
We don’t talk about the results.
I hate the fish with my whole body
I won’t pretend I didn’t see the “it was me!” line coming, because it seems like most of the main characters here run on pure ego.
And I also I don’t trust any of them farther than I can throw them.
One could throw a worm pretty dang far if you try
Yeah but thats not just “a worm”, to deal with gog you’d have to throw a few quintillion or more worms.
And all of them at once are kinda heavy
Imagine a beach Allison, a broad and beautiful beach many gogs wide. And once every one hundred years, you throw a single worm of gog away from that beach. When the beach has been reduced to nothingness and is scoured to the sheet gog and the agog, gog agog gog gog gog agog gog agog
If Gog knows that someone is trying to destroy them, they become Gog themselves.
Zoss’s first attempt to slay the worm was to use sword arts and cut it in half. Thus did the worm become two.
Throw Six Billion Gogs.
Their very low terminal velocity prevents that.
keyword being ‘a worm’
you’re not throwing ‘a worm’ you’re throwing ‘all worm’. The ring twice over amount of worm (or was it ‘a∞ worm’?).
either way, too much for you to throw. goodbye.
Gog Agog my bestest bestie the best of them
got bored of doing the same things over and over again and threw a clown tantrum the best possible thing to do
I dunno, Gog’s been doing the Groundhog Day for quintillions of years and hasn’t yet figured out that she’s supposed to make everyone’s life better and fall in love with her producer.
I’m willing to bet that she’s played that role at least once, if not several times with variation.
It perhaps says something about her true nature that her “just going through the motions” means continuing to brainwash, scheme, and generally cause trouble. Same goes for Jagganoth’s solution to the loop inevitably boiling down to “war.”
I wonder how the other demiurges would react to realizing they were stuck in a loop?
I would guess Mottom would be sardonic, Solomon would break and Mammon would be in denial.
Mammon could just start counting the loops.
And Jadis already knows. And, I suspect, she simply does not care; after all, measured against an infinity of ‘is-not’, any non-infinite iteration of ‘is’ may as well not be there at all.
Yeah but: who’s running the loop?
Zoss is the one resetting it. Though given that he is the one rewinding things, he’d have to have some knowledge of past resets and/pr an intent that is always present, thus the world gets reset every time.
Or, he gets his knowledge and his intent fresh each cycle from one whose whole gig is remembering and recording: Metatron 1, scribe of God.
So, like. How, tho? Isn’t he dead?
Incubus called Ghost Zoss an “echo” or something like that. Which kind of implies that it’s something lat the most on par with a Force Ghost.
We haven’t seen it be able to do anything but talk to Allison. Resetting the universe from that state seems… A bit much for something like that.
Honestly, I think they would all do pretty much the same thing they’ve been doing, but with even more of an air of quiet desperation. Mottom would keep drowning her sorrows in glorious destruction and whining to anyone who will listen, only now instead merely feeling trapped by her own empire she’ll see herself as trapped by the inherent nature of the entire universe. Mammon will keep trying to preserve everything he’s ever possessed, but from the destruction of each cycle rather than just the ravages of war. Solomon would keep searching for an heir that mirrors himself, but an heir to the Multiverse entire rather than just his own empire. And Incubus would keep lending his sword to whichever flame of desire burns brightest, only now, much like Solomon, he’d be a lot more focused on finding a true king to break the cycle.
Instead of cycling the break?
This is a pretty solid summary! And you know… I’m pretty certain Mammon COULD actually find a way to preserve physical possessions through the resets. His bank was already positioned outside space, so detaching it from time could have been feasible.
I wonder… in any of the resets did Gog-Agog ever think to ask the others to help break the cycle? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it never occurred to her…
sometimes you just get sick of jangling misrerably
groundgog day lmao
Goggy did the old Divine division, eh?
The ringing of the Division Bell has begun.
Just thinking about how much White Chain looks like Solomon’s wife and daughters, how he specifically didn’t have any daughters while he was ruling, how he is giving her advice and trying to steer her away from mistakes so much more than he did with his sons
That’s probably because of how she came to be in this state. I mean, this form of hers was born from a collision between her burning soul and his flesh. This probably means her new body moulded herself with an appropriate shape, but with some characteristics inherited from Solomon.
Oh my god I never really thought how Solomon affected the change in White Chain’s form but now that you said it, It DOES make sense that she would have something from him.
I get Maya vibes from him when he calls her footwork inexcusable. I bet even though he cannot use it anymore, he’s going to teach her Ki Rata and become mentor figure in the story.
Solomon, you raised how many sons to try and replace you and they all sucked. Stop going out to get some milk on the literal only daughter you’ve ever noticed.
What is an arthropod, but an armored worm with legs?
What is a man, but a hairy worm with bones?
A featherless biped.
What is a featherless biped but a man?
what is a man but a long worm?
But enough talk! Have at you!
Dont think its fair to call her “the only daughter he’s ever noticed”. Mans was so distraught from losing his first two that he became a god, he probably loved them.
Bearer of the Word FISH and Cod of the Seven-Part Sea.
(can’t take credit, it’s from a forum thread about this comic on another website)
What is an arthropod but an armored worm with legs?
What is a man, but a hairy worm with bones?
“Oh no! It’s Jagganoth!”
I cast: SUMMON BIGGER FISH!
Truly disappointed this fish isn’t an ancient Pallid Devil but extremely hyped for Demiurge Fish.
demiurge fish? no it’s just a fucking fish
It turns out all fish get like this eventually, it’s just that most people have only seen baby fish not yet old enough to breathe fire.
Is there a forum?
Probably Spacebattles.
We’re gonna need a tinier Zaid.
BEARER OF THE WORD BEAST
One hand in meditation, the other flipping us off
Bassed
GLORIOUS. (At least one of all those hands was bound to flip off the universe.)
Gog-Agog sure looks like Gog-Agog. Good grief, amazing art.
I swear I’ve heard that before somewhere…
Gog Agog is officially the most eldritch of all the demiurges, by far. (as if she wasn’t already of course). I also notice that her design is significantly insectoid, so, I wonder if she even started out human. We saw a goblin among the ones arriving after Zoss and Mammon was a servant, so, maybe Gog Agog started out as an insectoid servant and only later adopted a human appearance to survive?
Also, sudden dragon-fish.
Gog Agog became so big because there was so much to remember. Truly, having taken up the duty of keeper of memories for untold countless cycles, we can form an educated assumption that the sphere held within her palms is, quite possibly, a planet. Maybe hers? Maybe it’s a Gog Agog brand Dyson sphere? How big does one have to get before the concept of size losing all coherent meaning?
I suspect that its a Hive World covered in gog agog and that it’s the “core” or “brain” – or perhaps even an original world. Gog agog doesn’t remember the very beginning because gog consciousness developed gradually as an emergent property through the natural increase of gog worms
At least this explains how the predictive machine works. If it was somehow tapping into all of Gog’s memories that would give it a data total that exceeds the total current sum of existence, which in turn side steps the “list that contains all lists including itself” paradox that such a machine would otherwise run into.
Ah, but Gog AGog has no memories of events that happened in a corner of the universe free from Gog.
Jadis knows all of reality.
Gog Agog knows herself, and her past.
Abbadon wrote:
Gog-Agog has always been worms. They weren’t always sapient. They’re something I’d call a literal ‘walking tragedy’.
They do say “comedy=tragedy+time”, after all.
The tragedy line is interesting.
I’m thinking, maybe Gog’s personality is the worms replicating something the ate.
Insectoid forms are much better for survival than humanoid ones! Gog’s ‘human appearance’ is for fun, not survival, I believe. And the form we see in the first panel, which is anything but human, is probably what she adopted for ruling.
Maybe she was a servant! Supposedly, even she doesn’t remember “the very beginning”, including her own origins. Personally, I’d like to think she wasn’t even a Servant, just a bunch of ordinary worms that were accidentally cursed with sapience. Only Jadis (and maybe Metatron, or Zoss) truly knows, though.
my new headcannon is that it was a human demiurge specializing in biomagical augmentation, adopting new forms as the situation would require (the form in the first panel looks a lot like a devilskin warior created from a verdant devil). In the end this amazingly sophisticated demiurge decided for a distributed form consisting of a myriad linked self replicating worms.
It is debatable whether the demiurge became worms (which seems to be at odds with what Abadon wrote) or if the demiurge created (or uplifted) a worm colony and passed their key to them.
Anyway the first panel probably depicts the moment in which the worm-body was first created. If the second above mentioned variant is true, it is the moment Gog came to existence.
Mammon’s people should reach out to the Fish. They’ve got a Leviathan shaped hole where their figurehead used to be and it seems built for the job, assuming it survives.
Gog’s proclamation of these last few pages seems suspect. While I don’t doubt that she may have been nearly triumphant, given Zoss’ actions, that could also be said of an arbitrarily large number of other people in the multiverse, so it doesn’t seem particularly special? However, she states that she remembers everything but the “Very beginning”. But the multiverse is trapped in a series of metastable loops. If her memory came online midstream, she’d have no point of reference (barring Zoss or one of the other entities cognizant of the loop truthfully telling her how many times events had already recurred. IE. as bad as Gog makes the loop seem, it could still yet be worse?
That’s certainly a good point. I’m also wondering how much Zoss remembers the resets.
Anyways, what’s midstream of eternity?
Each and every moment, I suppose
not sure what you mean by “that could also be said of an arbitrarily large number of other people”. pretty much all info on the loop implies it’s the same 7 people who win the war everytime. gog used to be the strongest. now she doesn’t care.
I wasn’t referencing the 7, I was referring to the number of people who have been the chosen heir in previous loops. While Gog implies here that it might always be Allison by saying “you”, that contradicts previous information given and might instead be a reference to whoever the chosen heir is. The general description of previous loops is that the chosen heir cobbles together a rag tag team, almost wins, and then Zoss resets. Given that the number of previous loops is described as impossibly large, and assuming that Zoss swaps candidates on some sort of schedule, an arbitrarily large number of people in the multiverse have achieved the same results as the ones Gog reports here. They got almost all the way, and then failed.
Would.
“The mass remembers! The mass is immortal! And most of all – the mass always wins.”
The unspoken corollary: “The mass is really fucking bored with it all, and could really use a distraction.”
It sounds like a positive, but always winning actually gets really boring after you do it a few billion times.
Angels want fish
Demiurges fear fish
Well, I knew from the moment it showed up that the whale would be more of a threat than multiple people were insinuating, but it being able to breathe fire is way more than I expected. Maybe it is a servant of Jagganoth after all.
Also, Gog’s true form bears a disturbing resemblance to YISUN’s, given the myriad of heads at the top. And I wonder what that sphere of worms she’s holding is meant to represent.
An egg? A planet sized brain?
The Worm may be the closest thing the KSBD universe has to a Satan/Antichrist figure, considering that symbolism. And that’s in a world that already has Devils…
It bears more than a passing resemblance to the exterior of the ‘World of Gog’ that she formed during the Discordance of the Demiurges. It suggests to me that Gog-Agog’s true form – such as it is – may be of an unfathomable scale. This thing upon the stage a mere scale model of the genuine article.
I noticed the same thing regarding the similarity to YISUN. Kind of surprised not more discussion is happening on it.
It arguably goes beyond just the multitude of heads. There’s also the skull necklace on the chest in the original, being mirrored here by a decidedly un-skull-like face emerging from the writhing mass at roughly the same relative distance; as well as a focal point around navel-height in the original being a burning heart, and here a ball of worms resembling a brain, again roughly in the same position on the composition.
Add to that the many arms in various poses, and the two figures at the bottom which you could argue might be analogous for the legs in the original and there’s a lot of clearly intentional similarities. It’s possible that Abaddon is trying to convey that Gog Agog – gross, icky, misshapen and likely wholly mistaken though she is – is the closest being there is to the original YISUN simply by being so big, knowing so much, and experiencing/being so many aspects of the Universe.
She’s wrong, but she’s got the most complete picture, so to speak.
I would quibble that it’s Jadis who has “the most complete picture”, technically, but then again I am an insufferable pedant.
And yes, it’s only appropriate that Allison, having finally taken the form of Kill Six Billion Demons, should now learn from someone who *almost* took the form of Yisun in itself. Like many others she learned from, Gog Agog is a vision of a path she could still take in the near future. Hopefully she won’t, though.
ALSO also, in case I forgot to say it before: holy crud that art is amazing, Abbadon once again outdid himself with detail!
Iridescent Mega-Gog
When They Speak of Me,
Some rant and rail,
Others quail and flail.
What ? You want a Manifestation ?
Sure. Can you endure ?
This be not the All – this be just a part.
O’ Glorious Me.
See, My multitudinous limbs, mine innumerable Eyes,
Sense, the Vastness of My size.
At a flex, I can cover skies,
Almost – All Seeing.
Almost – All Being.
Scope My Pretty Wings !
They Clap with Thunder
Yes, I can Rip Worlds Asunder.
A skittering, chittering,
Chitinous, oleaginous,
God-Beast.
With these Powers and My Art,
Why can’t I be happy ?
Y’know, I too, feel crappy.
Three things, like spurs in My mind
that I strive to forget and always Find
Making me want to be mad, dingy and blind.
There’s pain in Mine hearts. Surprise !
Un-Killable, Unstoppable, Irresistible Me,
What a wretched destiny.
One. I’ve grown but where to go ?
For me, there’s no end.
How to Transcend ?
Two. With what I’ve viewed,
I’ve watched this endless feud
I know, we’re not free
Not you, not Me.
You the Individual One,
Me, a Multiplicity.
Nope, I can’t really forget.
Contained, I seethe with regret.
A flaming ocean when I burn with rage.
Three. Because of Who and What I am,
I struggle with having friends.
I have no peers.
There is NO ONE like me.
And guess what ?
The bigger you are – the more you can be hurt.
Who cares ? Who wants to listen ?
No one want to touch.
No one wants to play.
Does that seem strange ?
For Me it’s enough to derange.
Look, I’ll drop My veil, I cast down my pride.
Somebody, anybody… let me off this ride.

Admiration for the Manifest Gog-Agog !
So Pretty ! Pretty Terrifying !
Eldritch hugs for Everyone !
I love any webcomic comment section where I can compliment the character art in a page, and someone can just up and reply with a entire, beautiful, 52-line poem written from the perspective of that character succinctly conveying the beauty and agony of their struggle. Amazing.
YISUN who split themselves into a multitude and disappeared?
Vs
Gog AGog who accepts all and any into herself to become Gog AGog.
Quite a dichotomy
What my Gog-Magog
best demiurge!!!
I like how the various demiurges represent maximums/absolutes: absolute power, absolute death, absolute wealth, absolute knowledge, absolute life etc and yet even with those immense powers they fail to gain (or I guess hold) the throne
Or perhaps BECAUSE of. Balance is needed.
Bruh what do you think your doing, you ain’t smart.
It’s clear that they all have components based on the 7 deadly sins, anybody can see that. They aren’t limited by that basis though, it’s only used as a foundation.
It’s a hard fact that you can’t make anything truly original, because every piece of fiction is inspired by other, earlier works. That is the nature of creativity.
Also this poster diddnt just lazily equate the demiurges to the sins, he elaborated about their defining struggles a bit too.
Either way never post again please, I don’t know who you think you are, but a bright man you most certainly are not.
Well thanks phone, way to reply to the wrong post
That is because every demiurge was trapped by their “sin”, and their true desire is to be free of themselves.
Mottom wanted out, victim and perpetrator of a gluttonous world-eater machine.
She was a slave to Gluttony.
Mammon hid himself from the world in vaults of gold, his mind stretched thin between his count and his remorse.
He was a slave to Greed.
David wanted an heir who would surpass him, freeing him from responsibility, but only in a way that his pride would accept.
He was a slave to Pride.
Kill The Gods And Topple Their Thrones escaped as best she can, but her bloodlust in form of Incubus hunted her down. Now Incubus does not even see his chains, because he is blind to everything but the next fight.
She evaded Lust to find love and paid the price, Incubus cannot see his chains.
Jagganoth wants the world to end. He has seen he is trapped, and his only solution is war unending. If you destroy everything, there is no more struggle.
He is a slave to Wrath.
Jadis does nothing. She cannot do anything. She sees everything, knows everything, and can never leave her darkest hours. She is the most powerless being in the multiverse.
Jadis is a slave to Sloth’s true face: Despair.
Then there is Gog, why plays at Vanity, but seethes with Envy. Jelaousy. These are the most complex of “sins”, and so she is the most complex of demiurges. Can we do a full accounting of her chains? Not yet.
sin-theorybro once again on his pathetic quest to shoehorn every part of the story into an arbitrary list of christian terms (barely used within christianity anymore) for no other reason than “omg there’s 7 of them and they’re evil!”
There are judao-christian themes and characters (Soloman-David, Michael 1, etc) throughout the comic (among the themes of other religions), and the 7 deadly sins comparison is one of them, IMO (one can make an argument for how closely or loosely, but it’s there, like it or not).
Several important Orthodox Saints developed the “Se7en”, although they were stuck on 8 for a long time, but wanted them distilled to 7 for the purpose of Sacred Numbering, a mirror opposites to the 7 cardinal virtues. These are still very important to Orthodox Christians.
Se7en was certainly influential in its time. This list of characters omits to answer the most crucial question, who will play John Doe.
Appreciation to 2 Ponderous Indecision Protects From Harm.
Thank you. Nice summary. So what would the flip side of Jealousy & Envy be ? Could that be Acceptance ? Or might it be Empathy ?
A continuing theme we see in the KSBD Epic is – when you’ve achieved MEGA-Power your wants and desires tempt one into pernicious traps.
We’ve seen Allison and White Chain and Cio/Yabalchoath/New UnNamed Me, all wrestle with this challenge – and that struggle is by no means over.
CHEERS TO ABBADON !
