it occurs to me that Gog finds permanent disfigurement gross because she can just Worm Out and become Perfect Again every time
That’s a really good point, perhaps if she were to assimilate you she can ONLY work with whatever it is she assimilated? for example if she assimilated you with missing body parts and she were to regenerate using your body she would be stuck with missing body parts.
Oh no, quite the contrary, Preem Cowbob – no matter how “broken” a person is when they partake of the Worm, She can make them as “perfect” as she desires. Injuries, scars, and disfigurements melt away as easily as sadness, fear, and shame – and are just as repulsive to the Worm! It’s actually one of main selling points she uses to draw in followers. People want to be perfect, just like She wants to be perfect, because anything less than perfection is simply unbearable to live with.
Sad, I know, but it’s important to understand the mindset of these people/this person.

If all she has are worms for brains, wouldn’t her thoughts be a bit—ungrounded? Though I suppose she could decompose a problem pretty well. The question is not “was the fall intentional?” because it obviously was, but whether Gog is really shocked at Allison’s missing eye. I don’t think so, it feels like the fall was a cruel demonstration of how nothing can hurt Gog, while Allison is already minus several important parts and the real fight has not yet even begun.

It was interesting to notice that Gog said that she hates “them,” but not “all of you” or something that makes it sound like she included Allison. I am curious to see where this conversation goes. If Allison is the wheel smashing lord, then Gog would get to see what comes next and it would be something entirely new and not just a new version of the wheel.
I suspect she actually likes Allison, at least more than the others.
She is trying to talk specifically to Allison after all. It may seem roundabout and unclear, but she did say the whole parade is in Allison’s honor, so it would seem she has a request to make, or something like that

Now who does she hate? The Demiurges…or all humanity? Some things suggest the Worm may be older than humanity (see the little vignette on the previous page) . Perhaps she was born from the rotting corpse of God…
