WHEEL SMASHING LORD 1-23 to 1-24
Chapter: 1
THE DEATH CUT
YISUN held audience one in their fifth anti-spiral clockwise palace. White faced Pravi, who was a wise disciple, said:
“Lord, bestow upon us the armor that will resist ending. The days grow short and the nights cold. The quavering strands of our life grow thin and worn in these final days since we have come to know death. I bid thee Lord make us to know a companion of this feeling.”
And YISUN smiled in the fifth way and said in reply:
“As the stone is in the fruit, your death is already in you. There is no armor that will resist the contents of your own heart. You were cut down the moment you existed.”
-Spasms
That’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off!
You are already a dead man. From the moment you started to exist, death has bored into your ribcage and settled in your chest. It has its fingers into your very bones. When you are born, death is very small and weak, but he grows stronger every second, until he will wear you like a second skin. Do not fool yourself into thinking he is not there. You will feel him. Do not deny his presence. You must swallow death, and make him a part of you, and make of your ribcage a home for him.”
-Yaun, the dead
I’m beginning to think the Maybe Blade may be able to cut more than just gross matter.
It’s about damn time Allison learned to use the Key of Kings to undo her injuries. I’ve been waiting for that for a while.
Darth Maul went on from something similar to have a long and lucrative career in the auxiliary canon.
The maybe sword is very strong indeed! We must swallow doubts, make it a part of ourselves, and make it home on our ribcage. The same for the death sword. And the most powerful one. The sword of will.
That little CRK the stone pillar makes is one of the most foreboding things in this entire comic. Good job!
Hello again, Abbadon. I hope your journey has treated you kindly.
Better luck next kalpa. Maybe.
We’re all living and dying on a time limit Allison.
For some of us its decades.
For some its years.
For some its seconds.
will you make your last moment count?
Turn back the clock even?
Would it change anything?
Communists do not fight for personal military power (they must in no circumstances do that, and let no one ever again follow the example of Chang Kuo-tao), but they must fight for military power for the Party, for military power for the people. As a national war of resistance is going on, we must also fight for military power for the nation. Where there is naivete on the question of military power, nothing whatsoever can be achieved.
It is very difficult for the labouring people, who have been deceived and intimidated by the reactionary ruling classes for thousands of years, to awaken to the importance of having guns in their own hands. Now that Japanese imperialist oppression and the nation-wide resistance to it have pushed our labouring people into the arena of war, Communists should prove themselves the most politically conscious leaders in this war.
Every Communist must grasp the truth, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party. Yet, having guns, we can create Party organizations, as witness the powerful Party organizations which the Eighth Route Army has created in northern China. We can also create cadres, create schools, create culture, create mass movements. Everything in Yenan has been created by having guns. All things grow out of the barrel of a gun.
According to the Marxist theory of the state, the army is the chief component of state power. Whoever wants to seize and retain state power must have a strong army. Some people ridicule us as advocates of the “omnipotence of war”. Yes, we are advocates of the omnipotence of revolutionary war; that is good, not bad, it is Marxist. The guns of the Russian Communist Party created socialism. We shall create a democratic republic. Experience in the class struggle in the era of imperialism teaches us that it is only by the power of the gun that the working class and the labouring masses can defeat the armed bourgeoisie and landlords; in this sense we may say that only with guns can the whole world be transformed.
We are advocates of the abolition of war, we do not want war; but war can only be abolished through war, and in order to get rid of the gun it is necessary to take up the gun.
I’ve always found communists amusing. Unlike fascists they do not advocate for genocide when seeking power, yet they always stumble into performing a few after gaining it. But hey, you can’t make an omelet without breaking the bodies of several million people beneath your feet, as they say.
When neighborhood criminals kicks in your door, breaks your stuff, and/or threaten your family, your statement of “communists do not fight for personal military power” will definitely undergo a revisions.
Violence is a key feature of the ape brain; to delegate that and trust a genuinely abstract entity for the safety of you and yours is a system-crashing logic error.
Idk y ur being smug about this. Ain’t a major state around today that didn’t slaughter the fuck out of its undesirables. I mean all economic and political paradigms are held up by the threat of violence, or the act of violence. Democracy wasn’t born without the killing of many, and bourgeois democracies didn’t become as powerful as they are without killing a fuck load of people. Power is power, violence is violence. Mao was right when he said “Political power grows from the barrel of a gun.”
How predictably trite – equivocation. Genocide is not the same thing as violence. If I punch you, or even kill you, I have not started a campaign to systematically wipe your culture from the face of the planet.
But even if every state today had committed genocide – which they certainly haven’t – communists would like to believe that they’re better than the rest, no? Rather than just another system of oppression.
Dearth fuck you for making me take the side of a Maoist in fucking anything but do you even realize what you are saying? Cause you just created a fucking fallacy under which we can never recognize genocide as what it is until after the fact and everything is too late.
its looney tunes rules. just dont notice the cut
She already answered. If she hadn’t she’d have a cybernetic eye. And a robot’s arm and leg.
Ok, so apparently the answer to Maya’s question is “no”. Since if you can cure yourself after getting cut in half by the Maybe sword then destruction isn’t the only tool available to liberators. You can heal with as much power as the Demi-Urges can destroy.
The only problem is that leaves the wheel in place. How to free ourselves from the cycle of endless repetition without killing everyone?
Struggling with the ambiguity of the narrative like Paul Rudd witnessing a Nude Tayne
Getting to the crux of “reach heaven through violence” and I am so invested.
Damn, Maya sure doesn’t do things by halves
I think in this case Maya did things exactly by halves.
The cut is fatal, but royalty need not die from a mere fatal wound.
Thinking about this some more… Not sure this is a killing blow.
She was chosen by the beheaded king of the universe.
She walked with one leg.
Does she even need flesh when she has the willpower to tap the key?
Meh, just walk it off.
I think she’s going to take a card from Zoss.
Comic’s first appearance of the Liquefy tool babyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Er, Maya, you sure that cutting your student in half is a valid teaching technique? Where did you say you get your teaching certification from, again?
Bottom of a bottle, I think.
Might have come in with the tide.
One human’s violence is another’s creation.
It would be fucking hilarious if on the next page she just falls over dead and that’s the end of the comic.
