“Uphold the Dragon!
Recite the Count!
Excise the Weakness from flesh!”
-Tenets of the Priests of the Count

Ah yes, in the Dungeons and Dragons community, we call this the “Throw the Halfling” strategy of disarming traps. Simple, messy, yet effective.
Summoning spells… Or alternatively if you happen to have a dominated opponent handy.
I think Dragon magazine did an article with joke spells.
Find Traps 1/2: material component – the party’s tank; verbal component – “The way is clear Fritz, go on ahead”
This is just a little more aggressive version of that. One of my groups tended to use the corpses of previously-killed monsters.
This is why they introduced Automatic Reset traps.
There’s a reason livestock is on the equipment tables…
Considering the traps, methinks he is going to regret wasting a perfectly good engineer so soon.
To conquer this place, one must have a stellar memory, as the keepers of the Dragon’s ledgers do indeed have. Or just look up a walkthrough online….
But of course such techniques are not befitting of royalty.
Only the Penitent Devil shall pass
Only the penitent… uh… y’know what, never mind.
Mammon taking cues from Splatoon
ah so it is a last crusade situation
ah so it’s a last crusade
knew it was coming but it doesnt sting any less
So its a the last crusade
Can we save a dying demon by removing the mask, making the demon unbound, presumably free from physical injuries, the put the mask on again?
You could take the mask fragments from 1-11’s corpse, repair them, and summon something quite like 1-11 back into the multiverse. That’s how Cio came to be.
Yeah, now that his mask is jacked up, I’m not sure he can be rebuilt properly.
Yabalchoath’s mask was pretty jacked up in the flashback, yet she’s back now
what the HECK man, first the cute catgirl and now the cute grandpa demon, Oscar is really living up to his pants….
“Oscar is really living up to his pants…”
Best summation of Oscar ever tbh
Oscar clearly posses the keen mind and intuitive instincts of a true scientist.
All hail the scientific method!
It is not widely known, but the scientific method actually lies within the path of Royalty. Reach heaven through dissection!
Reach Heaven through -vivisection-.
AIR PRISON?!
THIS IS MADNESS!
Madness? THIS. IS. YRE! *boot*
Okay, this arc has thoroughly convinced me to never work with devils. There’s something to be said about ruthlessness, sure, but at a certain point one would realize that specially trained experts are valuable, even as things.
You’d think a flame so hungry would maximize its meals.
I mean, you could’ve just thrown literally any object on that one into the tunnel! You didn’t need the whole lad, Oscar! To think, I used to respect devils for their objective worldview. Now I know they’re just petty, shortsighted children.
I’m sure Oscar’s intention was to give you a valuable life lesson.
I’m starting to think they didn’t pick the best thieves, just whatever thieves they could scare up who had never met Oscar.
This feels horrifically pragmatic enough to be true.
They’re going to need more bodies than what they currently have.
Well, it was slice knowing him.
Such cutting wit!
Oscar, you heinous cur.
And yet, simultaneously a dashing rake
The cunning devil knows many ways to suss out a trap.
The foolish devil is the one that stands within reach of the cunning devil.
…They’re running out of mechanical specialists. Also, the address says 8-87?
Dangit, that was the mechanical specialist. They traded him for what could have been done with… a bag of flour or any liquid container. Although, I was always suspicious how demons could get old and frail. Was he even a demon? That didn’t look like a mask.
1-11 btw, in case any of you cared to know who he was.
Invisible pathway with invisible traps. Genius.
I love you Abbadon, but why recruit all these experts when they never get to perform their skills? I mean he was carrying so many trinkets, why weren’t they used?
Seems you’re very rushed about this chapter or such, the buildup is huge and then… This death?
I’m sure the comic glossed over a lot of obstacles.
It is humorous, that is why. Well, not for 1-11 and any others who get betrayed but its humorous for everyone else. And that is all that really matters.
They were filler. That’s partially why they were allowed to be entered in open contest.
…well, on the one hand, another less pile to split the loot into.
On the other, another less set of hands to carry it away. And I’m thinking the surviving party members may start reconsidering this arrangement if their “surviving” status becomes too much more precarious…
