And thus (probably) falls the second demon of the Rising King’s 6 Billion demons death tally.
Death by teleporting push/bitch slap from behind, with being chewed on by mimics if they survive the first strike.
One can only hope Suuz’s death reminds the other demon’s that the Rising King is not one to be fucked with, not that anything will stop Oscar from being a fool and going through with his inevitable betrayal.
Alright, I have to say this. Allison’s armor makes zero sense. I mean, soldiers walk around with kevlar vests and helmets as their only armor because that’s where all the, how did Oscar put it, “jibbly bits” are. Yet Allison’s armor covers everywhere but her heart, lungs, and brain, all the stuff that’s essential for living. You can survive minus an arm or leg.
Looks cool and I know that’s really all that matters in comic land. I just had to get that off my chest. Whew.
Beyond that, really interested to see where this goes. Incubus is obviously going to double-cross Allison at some point so . . . hopefully she’ll have learned to use her power by herself by that point.
I will direct you to the ancient Hellenic warriors, who lived in an age when a serious wound to the body was most likely to be fatal either immediately or later through disease, while severe injury to the limbs was more survivable (albeit amputation might be needed).
Their armor included helms as well as guards for the forearm, upper arm, and lower legs, but they relied upon body shields to protect their “jibbly bits.” If we imagine that Allison was supposed to be wearing a helm and carrying a body shield as part of a pike formation, her armor is almost fine.
Additionally, in later years, there was armor made in which the torso was covered in cheaper, smaller plates, usually sandwiched (brig) or attached to each other (laminae) while heavier armor was worn on the stiffer limbs.
Still later, the torso and head were heavily armored, usually with proofed (has taken a shot and held) plate while the limbs had almost no armor…Definitely not what Allison is wearing here!
The possibilities exist that Allison’s armor is either a partial set (missing the chest piece and helm), or a deliberate partial set meant to be worn with a tower shield (and missing a helm), in addition to the possibility that the armorer was an idiot.
Hell, for all we know, it’s a magical partial-cuirass armor enchanted with Torso and Head Protection +10.
What I want to know is what kind of an optimist wears white onto a battlefield? Girl, you KNOW that’s going to stain immediately…
Depends on what you are fighting. If it’s animals, then armouring your extremities makes sense since that’s what they bite. It’s awkward to bite a chest… However in that case, some throat protection is indicated.
That depends if you expect any armor to be able to block any sort of serious strike against her. I do not she is strong enough to wear armor that can resist the blows of serious enemies. This armor, however, could protect her limbs from debris, sharp edges, the smaller cuts of minions and more mundane risks while being loose enough to dodge. Not the best explanation I know, but it still makes a bit of sense.
That lightning is white, not pink, and she seems to be having the same thought as Incubus, at the same time. She has reflexively teleported before. Is this one all her?
I don’t think it’s *all* her. I think Incubus is guiding her just a little, but she doesn’t need very much help on this one – She knows What she wants, Incubus is just helping her on the How to go about it.
Calling it: Allison will grab golden bitch and swap places with her via portal, leaving *her* to fall into the sea of chair-mimics and Allison to continue on the quest…
Would Allison leave her to die, then? Or save her because the team might still need her, and leave her indebted to Allison?

“…And it was at this moment, that Suuz knew she had fucked up”
Yea, exactly
Mess with someone with a KEY OF KINGS in their pretty little head, you’ll end up with a FIST OF KINGS embedded in your own skull.

Not that this turn of events surprises anyone.

There is, in fact, some historical precedent.

SHE CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BALL
So when you said you’d be drawing a lot fewer characters in the coming pages, that was because Allison is going to kill them all, right?
The hand of the king will not be turned down
Nyuk nyuk oh fuck.
Incubus’s opinion and advice are normally a little questionable, but here he and Allison have a clear and justified meeting of the minds.
In which AlYisun smacks a bitch.
1) THAT BITCH
2) OOOOOOH SHIT SOOOOOOOOON
Err, why do all that pesky climbing and stealth thing and stuff when she could have just teleported around in the first place?
And there it was; the masquerade.

She’s going to cut the strings after this arc, I hope.
