“Kill YOU myself”? Huh. I didn’t see the “you” when I read it. Must’ve missed it. So that’s why the line sounded so jarringly out-of-place, it’s because I read it incorrectly. Now it seems much more in-character. I mean, Al-YISUN has killed a Demiurge and disabled another’s immortality in one spear toss, so the Claymore of One Hundred Million Years of Death would have no problem piercing the Great Douche’s lily-white hide.
Perhaps my liquid gold blood pressure problems are having an effect on my eyesight.

Incubus clearly possesses a foresight the other godlets do not- the deal is too good to be true, but it’s the only offer on the table.
And yet… he too fails to understand what he’s dealing with in turn. This is not a deal that will be able to be exploited for long; Alice is a TRUE god, and when she ultimately understands this she’ll be true to her word.
