About hanging to talk to you directly on Discord… don’t you fear that people will come out asking what will happen or suggesting things that THEY WANT to happen or even dismissing things that WILL happen as dumb or bad writing?
That is kinda my fear, of a writer being afraid of telling the story he wanted to tell to appease a parcel of its public that are too vocal on what they want to influence the author.
Why is White Chain’s head thing cockatieling during the fight?
Maybe there are rear mirrors on it?
Bitch Pwning mode is engaged.
She literally has eyes in the back of her head – and everywhere else. Open the helmet, all-round vision.
I didn’t even know Throne had an SCA branch, but in hindsight it makes total sense.
In the 777,777,777 Universes, at least one Mercedes Lackey was a demiurge.
Perhaps Solomon will enter a champion?
You don’t get better at something without a lot of experience- Allison might have trained with an angel, but I’d bet she’s had few actual fights (that really challenged her, anyway). This is valuable stuff.
Assuming she doesn’t die, of course.
What is the discord link? Apologies if I’m just missing it somewhere super obvious. (or is the ring of power discord also the general one? maybe I’m missing something?)
Time for some last minute shenanigans before Aly Shun has to be removed from the area using a broom and a bucket
Not a good sign when someone invokes the facepalming technique
That official passing by in the last panel looks familiar. We saw someone who looks just like that at Solomon’s council of advisers, and the clerk who checked Allison in to the tournament also looked the same. I guess Solomon has nepotism turned up to 11 and staffs his civil service with his offspring, but these three look like clones. Or is it the same man keeping an eye on Allison?
We know Solomon only sires sons, but we don’t know where he gets his wives. Maybe they’re all the daughters of his sons, to keep his bloodline ‘pure’? After many centuries of that, his family could almost be clones as far as variety was concerned. Does that sound like something he might do?
Is Alison actually quite weak, all the other competitors real strong or the matches somehow rigged so she only fights super strong opponents?
Dunno. I was surprised Eris Lo Kai was supposed one of the weakest combattants, but then, we’re talking about a tournament that draws in the most powerful fighters from many universes, so even the weakest participants would probably be extremely strong.
Is that look on white chain’s face her realizing that the matches are rigged against Allison, by Gog-Agog to try and preasure her into taking her “assistance”
Hrmm… Just had a thought – dangerous, of course, but hear me out…
A great many fighting arcs involve the death or maiming of the intrepid hero’s (or heroine in our case) friend or mentor. This gives them the resolve they need to overcome their self-imposed limitations and put on the fight of their life, in order to beat that unbeatable opponent. Makes me wonder if we should fear just a little bit for the safety of our favorite Angel. Don’t get cocky White Chain.
I envision Allison getting eliminated and White Chain ends up facing Solomon David. Solomon David breaks White Chain (returning her to the void, perhaps), and Alison enters the ring to stop him. Picture Bloodsport, where Frank Dux is crying “Stop! Noooo!” as he reaches out to save Ray Jackson. Makes for great viewing.
Hrmm… Where’s my popcorn?
That still wouldn’t make Allison a good enough fighter to take on Solomon himself. Anger isn’t a substitute for years of training, and Solomon David probably knows more about what her Key can do than she does.
Hrmm… doesn’t mean she would have to use anger. My whole premise is that it is a common motivational plot tool. Besides, if she doesn’t know what the key can do, then she also doesn’t know what it can’t do. She has no limits except self-imposed ones. Likewise, Solomon David’s power is a fraction of Allison’s, and we’ve already heard the lessons of the horrible swordsman defeating the master swordsman simply through the art of being bad.
I think the most important thing to take away from this page is that Princess thinks Alice’s ass is pretty.
Trib six billion devils
She needs to take the worm. Then no unreasonable offers will be left unfullfiled, after she makes peace with that sin.
