Wait, so multiple fights are happening simultaneously? How much do you want to bet that at least one “for any reason” comes from someone getting launched from one ring and knocking off someone in a different ring?
Surprised Allison even remembers this guy. She’d only have gotten a chance to really meet him way back in the brothel, when she had a LOT of new things to remember.
It is never a good sign when your opponent’s weakest score is a C but their highest is an SS+ while you are presenting two B’s and an A. Though I would very much like to know exactly what the scores represent.
With over a thousand participants, the odds would be pretty low, so, it’d either have to be a heck of a lucky (or unlucky in Eris Lo-Kai’s case) draw or it was arranged in some way.
I’ll assume you mean in-game as in the tournament, heh. Anyways, true on that. She normally sets up the matches and with over a thousand participants, a few pair up fixings would go unnoticed.
Allison better kick that guys ass. He reminds me of my great grandpa and I hate my great grandpa. Great grandass more like. Fuck you you horseteethed dusty ass monkey, bring me back my talking saddle already. Don’t let him expose your key, Alice!
Speaking of that, not sure why she doesn’t just use the headband rather than the boxing headgear. Though there’s apparently no rules on headwear and garb, so, there’d be plenty of strange headgear that nobody would bat an eye at her wearing that.
5/ Allison is winning the tournament, but has to leave early to rescue Cio, who has been abducted. Choose abductors from any of Alison’s enemies (many) or Cio’s enemies (fewer, perhaps, but maybe more poised to act).
Hrmm… SS+… Well, figure the SS indicates Super Sport. The + is gonna tell us that she’s got some non-stock modifications under the hood (so to speak). Reckon she definitely is super capable, and quite sporty (in an athletic way). And we all know she’s got the “plus” hidden under her helmet.
Can’t wait to see this gal lay down a patch of rubber and leave this guy lookin’ at her taillights wondering WTF just happened. Hrmm…
In One Punch Man, the heroes were ranked into 4 categories: C, B, A and S. Expanding on this, SS+ would suggest a weakly godlike being, while C class heroes were basically ‘So you’re a decent boxer and pretty strong for a normal human being.’
As for the three categories, your guess is as good as mine.
Lady Gog-Agoga promised to set up matches .. which means there absolutely no danger to Allison ! Or something very FUN about to happen.
Yes. One of the two. Or both.
*honk*
Presumably my favorite vatra is about to get his ass kicked. (And it looks like he got his face kicked in already). A pity. Still, we’re talking about someone who, in spite of his advanced age was still seeing jumping over the heads of people and then standing crouch-legged on the pommel of his sword, so he’s a hell of a lot more agile than he looks. Also, he survived the big battle in Mammon’s vault, so he should be able to give her a run for her money at least. On top of that, he’s got a lot more experience than Alison, and he probably knows more about what her Key can do than she does. But the outcome shouldn’t be in doubt: having the heroine defeated in her first qualification round, no matter how realistic that would be, seems very unlikely storywise. After all, no better armor than Plot armor. Hope he at least survives it.
Hrmm… Tthat would make for an unexpected turn of events. She gets knocked out in the first round and has to figure out another way to rescue Zaid. Hrmm…
Thanks for the nice blog. It was very useful for me. I’m happy I found this blog. Thank you for sharing with us,I too always learn something new from your post.
I love a good power ranking that isn’t explained anywhere when you first see it. Very Jojo. And of course you’d mention their blood types. It is tradition, after all.
This will be interesting lesson in sorcery(ers physiology)
All those people who got front row seating can’t see anything.
At least they can use magical god-powered purple flame to roast sausages.
THE RING OF FIRE!
Wait, so multiple fights are happening simultaneously? How much do you want to bet that at least one “for any reason” comes from someone getting launched from one ring and knocking off someone in a different ring?
Pretty much a certainty. The real question is who will try to use that to help/disqualify other opponents. And what relationship are they to Allison?
Surprised Allison even remembers this guy. She’d only have gotten a chance to really meet him way back in the brothel, when she had a LOT of new things to remember.
Hard to forget a face like that.

I’m pretty sure all of the hunting squad signed up for this.
Makes me wonder if this was coincidence or not.
Probably divine intervention by author. 😉

In-game, it is intervention by Gog-Agog. The demiurge did say it would be fixing the competitor draws.

Possible developments:
1/ Allison finally learns wisdom, restraint and emptiness, and defeats (without killing) White Chain in their inevitable match.
2/ The whole thing turns to shit when Mottom does another of her gatecrashing stunts. Pandemonium ensues, with real live demons.
3/ Allison figures out how to use Skull of Ys-Myra again, all by herself. This would be really cool, so totally has to happen.
4/ Allison wins the whole tournament, at which point Himself calls in his favour. Pandemonium ensues, with real live demons.
5/ Allison is winning the tournament, but has to leave early to rescue Cio, who has been abducted. Choose abductors from any of Alison’s enemies (many) or Cio’s enemies (fewer, perhaps, but maybe more poised to act).
Strip bar “real live demons” ?
That guy. What his name.
Prediction: It’s White Chain who takes out Allison’s eye.
We don’t know if that story is true or not, only how to tell it.
