I hesitated to point it out, but since you brought it up… that certainly is DEM. If Jagger can do that (and Zoss knows what else), he could have taken the dingus from Allison long ago in some situation where he didn’t have to fight the other cosmic baboons at the same time. I realize that some reason has to be presented for why Allison can’t just port everybody out of this mess or the scene would be over, and nobody wants that.
Yeah, thougth the same. We’ll see, I just enjoy this and it’s brutal, but I’m having a hard time understanding (or accepting?) the power level variation
Except, so far as I can remember, Allison has not tried to teleport in his presence before. He hasn’t taken anything from her, just interrupted her use of her key.
Well, this certainly brings up questions about Jagganoth’s plan. If he’s stopping Allison so he can take the master key from her, why did he bother to engage the other demiurges here at all? If that isn’t it, why DOES he care if she leaves? In what way is she really “the crux of this matter?”
I wonder if he actually did just steal (some amount of) her key’s power, and he contrived this situation because for some reason he COULDN’T do it just by killing her another time?
42 Fragments the Universe Beyond All Reintegration
1. It was too soon in his plan to strike. Incubus thinks it’s still too soon.
2. He didn’t want to attack her specifically in Throne because reasons. Maybe he doesn’t want to fight an army of pissed-off angels.
3. He needs Allison to wield the key for him. Why he couldn’t do it himself is obscure, but then we don’t know exactly what he wants to do. If the power he’s just stolen melts his magic swords and sets fire to his glove then that would be a strong hint.
4. He didn’t know he could take Allison. He might have assumed that the Successor would be stronger. Then White Chain defeats her and Solomon defeats White Chain and his minions are telling him “Boss you gotta see this!” and he knows he can take Solomon and *dooommm* serious face-palm.
Up until now I thought the demiurges were allowing Allison to keep the key of kings because they didn’t think she could use it. None of them took it for themselves because that would have started the war again, so letting her keep it (and away from Zaid, who everyone else thinks is Zoss’ heir, and who therefore could learn to use it) was a kind of compromise among them. Well, the war has started, Ziad is right there with Allison, and it’s time to up the stakes. At least, that’s my read of how Jaggy sees it.
So you can hide but you can’t run. No, strike that, you can’t hide either. The Arum Atum comment suggests that He Can See You hiding in the ice forest. And he can attack at range.
So *talk* to the man. At this stage, it can’t hurt.
I was in a similar situation once. I was outmatched and my travelling companions outclassed. From but a single blow, a dear friend of mine was nearly on the brink of collapse, holding on through what I can only imagine to have been a sturdy force of will alone. I invoked an ancient and long-unused power in an attempt to flee, but I, as ever, was a fool. My flight would not be tolerated, and fate would see me punished for the hubris I had demonstrated in trying to make it this far. The heavens themselves railed against my cowardice and the divine words rang out in protest against me: “You can’t run away from Trainer Battles!”
I know I’m nitpicking but in the previous page twas Jag’s right hand that wus glowing wide ominous power and this page starts wid his left hand emitting lightning. Anyhoos, shiz gone down da wire and can’t wait to see how they deal wid this foo.
I really like Thor in the Marvel comics and this Lightning Thief character from your comics is amazing, I hope to more action from him in the upcoming episodes. There are new games this 2021 that is worth playing and one of them is toca world online
Y O I N K !
Arum is Hebrew for naked, appropriately.
Just a friendly reminder that everyone but Allison had to //steal// their power.
Floating swords. No Fate/Stay Night references in the comments?
Fine, I’ll do it myself.
“Trace, on.”
Mmmh… that’s a not so nice but quite literal deus ex machina…

Oh what in the actual fuck! Figured it wouldn’t be that easy to just jet outta there, but Jaggy never ceases to surprise and impress.
Allison, it’s time for Plan B. Yes, you’ll have to make that one up as you go, too.
Well, this certainly brings up questions about Jagganoth’s plan. If he’s stopping Allison so he can take the master key from her, why did he bother to engage the other demiurges here at all? If that isn’t it, why DOES he care if she leaves? In what way is she really “the crux of this matter?”

Very interesting, and many possibilities.
1. It was too soon in his plan to strike. Incubus thinks it’s still too soon.

Didn’t he reach out with his RIGHT hand, no sword, in the previous page?
CHEKOV’S PHILOSOPHY MAJOR will soon meet The Word MIND
Allison: “No stairway! Denied!”
Jagganoth denied the stairway and demanded Alice ride the lightening.
Jaggy is stanced up with his codpiece front and center, wielding four “rising” swords and one in his hand. Shits about to get HOT!
Gooood, I was honestly disappointed that the fight scene would end early. Looks like that won’t happen!

Jagganoth is taking you down!

Jagganoth stealing the gang’s ticket to ride the lightning? That most certainly wasn’t very cash money of him to do.
But I admire his ability to multi-task.
Well, that is a problem.
The power will not take an irresolute wielder.
they gon’ learn tiday.
I know I’m nitpicking but in the previous page twas Jag’s right hand that wus glowing wide ominous power and this page starts wid his left hand emitting lightning. Anyhoos, shiz gone down da wire and can’t wait to see how they deal wid this foo.

I can’t help but notice that Prince/ss Top is holding onto Zaid very tightly.
That and the fact that Zaid is more useless than Nadia. Are finally getting a bottom for the top?
The most crucially important thing to note here, is how well those earrings go with Allison’s hair. Smashing.
YOU’LL POKE YER EYE OUT, KID!
