The first man doesn’t know he has run out of water, nor does he bother to check. He blithely continues onwards until he is shocked to find his own death coming up from the sand to meet him.
The second man checks his canteen and sees immediately he is out of water. He gives up and curls up in a ball, and dies quite piteously, obsessing over his failures. A miserable man.”
Hansa said, “An ominous riddle.”
“The third man,” YISUN said, “checks his canteen, and finds he will soon be a dead man. Yet he is resolute, and presses onwards anyway, looking for his destination.”
“Does he find it?” asked Hansa.
“No,” said YISUN, “Quite plainly. His death finds him at the appointed time. Yet he presses on anyway, until the moment his corpse hits the dust.”
“What an idiot,” said Hansa.
“Absolutely,” said YISUN.
“What a magnificent idiot,” added Hansa.
“Hansa is observant,” said YISUN.

Speaking of hands, there’s a right hand on a left arm in panel two. That was one hell of a transformation for her, eh?
That’s a left hand, look at how she’s holding it in the fifth panel.

Are Allison and her crew going to get keys and become the new Demiurges? I kind of like the idea, except for Zaid (not his fault he hasn’t earned it). I would dearly love Cio to get Mottom’s key; then we’d see some REAL parties!
I mean, the main theme of the comic seems to be that concentrations of power such as the demiurges are bad things. Also, there are 777,777 keys (plus Allison’s Master Key) so there’s no reason they’d necessarily need to divide them seven ways. They could easily give them all to one person, or split them between 3, 11, 13, 21, 33, 37, 39, 49, 77, 91, 111, 143, 147, 231, 259, 273, 407, 429, 481, 539, 637, 777, 1,001, 1,221, 1,443, 1,617, 1,813, 1,911, 2,849, 3,003, 3,367, 5,291, 5,439, 7,007, 8,547, 10,101, 15,873, 19,943, 21,021, 23,569, 37,037, 59,829, 70,707, 111,111, 259,259, or even 777,777 people. The Master Key might also be able to absorb all the other keys. Or make copies.
Dear God in heaven, please no! We’ve seen exactly two devils with keys in this comic and both were driven insane. Do not want that to happen to Cio or Princess.
Two? Who was the other one?
Praman Nand is drawn as if he wears a key, at least to my eyes. In the cut-away view of hell 71, he’s talking to, presumably, his boss in the flame room. Zoomed right in, the image of the possible boss looks rather like Incubus. Best guess: Nand has become a emissary of Incubus. And Nand seems mad, or at least giggly-weird.
The Claw! The Claw is back! Get the children!
The question is whether Jaggy is coming along with the Ominous Hand, or if it’s somehow detached from him as it does his bidding.
Our magnificent seven might not get outta there fast enough…

With a cliff hanger claw (or fist) perhaps Boxing Day will be more appropriate
The expression on Zaid’s face in the last panel looks like a “pucker factor 12” on a scale of 1 – 10.
I was applauding his taking action in this installment, but as others have pointed out, his action was getting grabbed by Princess. So sorry Zaid, you still gotta walk that lonesome valley and show us what you can do.
Which won’t be much until his buttocks unclench, allowing him to at least walk. Right now they’re so tight his feet can’t touch the ground, and Princess “Top” has a – how shall we say – overly friendly arm around him. Drama on so many levels!
