Wielder of Names 3-57
Chapter: 3
“Lo! And there was one, who had a name of seven parts in seven, and it was a shining name, and it’s words were writ with the Flame that nourishes creation! He came in his chariot, whose rims were the Wheel, and pulled by the four beasts that dwell at the foot of YISUN. Such heat issued from his mouth as to scorch all the stones of heaven – it was a terrible sight, even to the faithful. Oh God!”
-Shard of the prophecy of the Successor, attributed to Acolyte Periptos of the Eye Revealed. Uttered twenty seconds before death.
Feh, a prophesy from a half dead, half mad prime. No wonder it was ‘broken’ so easily.
Wrong Heir? Silly genderless boys, the King recognized a strong independent woman can/is K6BD
Or at the very least saw the potential for Strong Independence in this woman, though she displayed little of it at the time. A proper king sees such potential, and seeks to foster it in his subjects/heirs.
Haven’t had a whole lot of Killing Six Billion Demons yet. Presumably this is forthcoming on Alison’s part.
A-L-L-I-S-O-N… damn it. Why didn’t I see that?
Thus we have foreseen the truth. The Heir, our True King, A-L-L-I-S-O-N, seven parts in seven !
The prophecy is on the verge of being realized !
Accept your thorn body, White Chain, ACCEPT THE PROPHECY !
ALLISON ATUN !!!
Note also, her new name, given by Zoss, has seven syllables.
Even more, the final syllable of the name of God is not spoken in a tongue of flesh. As well, it is written:
“The conquering king must speak with both his internal tongue of self-love, and his external tongue of violence: he must proclaim himself a king not with a tongue of flesh, but an iron tongue soaked in the blood of his lovers.”
Psalms 8:46
Our king shall proclaim herself as she rids the wheel of the demiurges. She will forge a new name, one of seven parts, one of these parts will be spoken with a tongue of flesh.
None of these parts, rather.
RECOMMENCE WHITE CHAIN/ALISON SHIPPING
KSBD has been an amazing work; I eagerly await every offering.
Are you a fan of Brandon Sanderson, by any chance?
AL-YIS-UN
ONE THAT RULES
Hrm, well. After these last few pages it’s beginning to look like WC’s “Metatron lives” may have been a plain statement of fact, rather than a declaration of fealty. Can’t say I’m happy about the unnecessary drama, but I’m kind of relieved.
I find it amusing that they presume that the chosen heir was not the one chosen.
Especially coming from the guys who claim not to care about inconsequential human categories like gender ^^
But they do care about Magnificent Beards, do you think Zoss would have been able to gain the respect/awe/dread of the Angels with a clean shave, even after kicking their asses? Zayd is more likely to grow a beard than Allison, so 2 Who Is Like God leans in favor of Zayd.
Can’t argue with a beard.
I sat here stroking my beard as I read this… I think your statement has merit.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Stay gold, eyes shining like a star,
Brow in fire !
Out of reach, you seek True Royalty !
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Protect the worlds and the Void between,
Slay the seven headed beast,
Free the Wheel and inherit the Throne !
Rage, rage against the dying of the light, and
Reach heaven through violence !
Song of the Heir, by Tan’Soss the Kekri Reit.
This does not look like “tracking” more like a slaying.

6 Juggernaut Star has a different plan in mind apparently.
Should we really exclude the possibility that Alison might have inherited the master-key to the universe by accident ? YISUN is known for his sense of humor.
I wouldn’t consider it beyond Koss to make a point of finding a time and place where two worthy heirs happened to meet with each other, affording him a little redundancy in case one is slain. Considering the danger both are in, such precaution appears warranted.
This is my favorite interpretation as well.
Genocide and misgendering. Tssk tssk.
Something to be noted is Zoss seemed to be dead before he even met Allison. You can see blood trails coming from his mask in his first scene. Then, he is decapitated to no effect. Finally, we see him again in the void, and his head has returned. I believe this is why Zoss must choose a successor in the first place; something happened to him before the events of KSBD that inhibit Zoss from reclaiming his own throne.
That… seems rather salient.
That 8th panel, tho. O Michael, m’boy: you done goofed.
I find it remarkable that, as of yet, no one has commented on the fact that Allison, The Rising King, whose name shall be seven parts in seven, was named, by King Zoss as:
Kill Six Billion Demons.
I humbly profer a simple counting excercise to the corum.
Is it just me? Or does 2 Michael’s face in the last panel look a bit mask-like?
To defy God is to praise him, for a fight of futility is the holiest way to experience the horror and wonder of His creation. White Chain will be the one to draw water from the well of blood! My Sister, I salute you! Walk Like God Until He Must Walk Like You!
As always The Archive remembers.
Pitiful servitors. You would think that given their age measured in Kalpa they’d possess the ability to think beyond their scope.
Kalpa are also a very long time for habits to be engrained, and thus they could prove quite stubborn in remaining.
Be wise, it would, to ne’er trust an Angel to read a prophecy. They are a dull, straight-ed and proud sort, and I’ve naught ever known one to look past the most obvious, nor to ever consider their own faults, the pus-brained dogsboys that they are.
White Chain Born in Emptiness Returns to Subdue Evil.
BORN.
THE CIRCLE IS BROKEN. GLORY TO THE NEW FLESH!
Prophecy only unmasks the known unknown. One must remain vigilant for the unknown unknown.
Yisun told us two lies, it is right there in the holy suicide: male Un, female Yis. Were it not so that the multitudes were masculine and feminine as they pleased?
Angels are narrow-minded and reactionary.
Oh shit, son!
Also, point of order: White Chain is a “guy”, yes? We spent most part one with him vehemently reminding criminals and Allison that he’s is, or at least prefers to be referred to, as a male. His angelic form outside of his shell is fairly masculine as well.
So why do so may folks keep saying “she?”
Denial is a most powerful manifestation of Want, but one that is doomed to collapse. Attempting to command Desire to unmake that same Desire is foolish.
Cast you mind back to White Chain speaking to Vigilant Gaze: http://killsixbilliondemons.com/comic/wielder-of-names-1-9/
Whether White Chain wishes to admit to their deviance amongst the Aeons, it remains. The Flame Immortal is not gendered, it is neither male nor female, but the White Flame, essence of Masculine Un, predisposes the Host to refer to themselves as male, when they are truly genderless. White Chain acknowledging gender, and worse, potentially acknowledging a more feminine gender, is a sign of corruption by humanity to the rest of the Aeons.
Very well worded and explained. I had assumed as much regarding angels and gender/sex, but I suppose I overlooked 82’s description of how they fall into the matter. Thanks!
Because White Chain is an Angel, and thus of no gender.
Stop saying that they are “male”, “female”, “she” or “he”.
This is an blasphemous mistake.
One, especially the Angels, shouldn’t use any of those to refer to themselves.
More insight into this matter may be gained through great Abbadon’s comment on this page, and the content of the page following it.

May your search for knowledge be forever somewhat successful.
It has been quite successful thus far! Many thanks!
White chain comments to 10 Vigilant Gaze that they feel “a bit feminine” and was an early case of “doth protest too much” I think.
82-to-be-83 White Chain is as male as were the Fat Man and Little Boy.
Habitually, angels refer to one another as male when speaking in a tongue lacking neutral pronouns; as children of masculine YIS, “he” has at least marginally more grounding than “she” does.
And over a few kalpa, the distinction between habit and law tends to wear thin.
Rest assured, were White Chain’s features in the Void to be perceptibly male, that, too, would be a vile abomination, a sign of White Chain’s corruption by the refuse of Throne- it would merely be an abomination with less linguistic confusion added onto the bargain.
“His” “Him”
Tsk tsk.
Get with the program, Michael!
