Ahaha, awesome! More fuzz on the lines of good and evil!
It would make me very happy if Incubus decided to actually side with Alison, although I’d settle for neutral trickster or even a manipulating two-timer. (Might fit the name… two-timer.)
Interesting, though, that he shows up just as she’s lamenting her virginity. Wonder if he’s got something to say about that.
Also, pretty curious as to what his relationship to Zoss was. ‘The old man’ indeed.
Nice work, Abbadon!
Oh, and I think I figured out what was originally bothering me about your faces – lack of line variation in the fine features made them look crude in the close-up. Either it’s getting less or I’m becoming acclimated, but either way, my one nitpick with the art seems to be diminishing.
That’s a little bit of a stretch. Don’t get me wrong, he definitely puts off that vibe with the last speech bubble, but I don’t think that’s anywhere near the point.
He’s a lustful trickster, and what better way to sate his appetite then influence things behind the scenes? Make Allison more accepting of her place in the grand scheme of things, make her want to go on this fantastic/horrible journey.
He helps get the ball rolling, then he can just sit back and watch as the chaos unfolds.
It’s possible that, with her current goal of simply seeking to rescue her boyfriend and go home, that he thinks this is a way to get around the truce between the Seven.
Which is to say, this could be a play for a larger share of the universe.
I think Incubis is smart enough to know that Allision will be the one to kill him. Whether he’s smart enough to understand that she will do so on her terms, and not his, is something else all together.
PSA: When a guy shows up while you’re sleeping, says his name is Incubus, and while you cry he says “You don’t know yet is that you want this,” go tell an adult.
The prophecy will materialize because the seven use Allison to destroy one another in petty attempts of attaining true suzerainty. It’s clear to me now that Incubus sent those original thorn knights and has more knowledge about Zoss’s plans than any other demiurge; my money says that makes him the most threatening.
I think Incubus’s knowledge of the story proves his will be the most powerful/threatening demiurge. Originally I believed Mottom sent those thorn knights after Zaid, but now I think it was Incubus and he set Mottom up purposefully.
The prophecy will occur because the seven are inherently treacherous and will use Allison to destroy eachother in petty attempts at attaining true soverign rule.

I can relate to Allison here, however I have yet to give in to wantonly throwing myself at whatever will lay me as I feel it would be a hollow victory and thus great shame, naught a victory to be written down.
Allison ought beware the Incubus. For he approaches in the silence of sleep to commit great terror upon unaware maidens.
She is in terrible danger.

Do not fear to cry. Desire and frustration will ever entwine. with their blessed embrace one may know joy… punctuated by tears. Do not fear to cry.

Do not submit to his wiles, for his whims are crueler than lord Jagganath’s! Where is this information?
