I am filing the certain resemblance of Metatron 1 to White Chain as ‘interesting’, though I know not if it is significant.
I also find it mildly amusing how 80-odd kilograms of assorted hydrocarbons managed to lay waste to every Prime Angel with relatively little effort. I suspect that the Angels consider this fact to be embarrassing.
The angels were imbued by Koss with a purpose, but mortals were made in Aesma’s own image. I find it unsurprising that such a creature should find Struggle against Law to be only modest effort.
Patram Sword Hand is the style that Jugs uses, and the name is literal. He uses it to decapitate the Conquering King on page 1-6. Zoss is just tossing some lightning here.
You guys I just realized– Zoss has a lot in common with Zeus. Similar name, similar fighting style (bolts of lightning apparently), similar aesthetic (flowing garments and sexy, sexy beards), and similar means of coming to master the universe (returning out of nowhere to the home of the Titans and divvying out their territory amongst his brothers after obliterating them). I wonder if he also managed to have sex with anything he could transform himself to fit into…
Gods name their parentage at the beginning, and anyway that doesn’t make any sense. If you’re not going original meaning and just sticking with “Ali’s son”, her name is AL-YS-UN.
THE Key rather than A Key, this is troubling. Young Alice-UN had best be in her guard, especially now that it seems that her former protector may join in the pursuit of her.
I wonder. If Metatron was the angel closest to god and guarded the names of god would that mean that the other races also have members close to YISUN?
Would Zoss, A human and thus perceiver, thus be close to god in that his attempt to meet god, going so far as to reach heaven and massacre all in his way in his attempt to do so, engaged in the ultimate act of perception?
Is there some Servant with such closeness?
Perhaps even, and I shudder to think, A demon of divine hunger?
It might be more interesting to wonder, in what sense, Metatron was “closest” to YISUN, considering the Aeon’s exist only by Holy Division, and formed from what remained after YS and UN annihilated, leaving only a bit of flame.
Perhaps Metatron is the fraction of UN that *is* Yisun’s Name!
I wouldn’t count on it. The four races are somewhat analogous to the four varnas. Servants, given to specific vocations and the accrual of money, are obviously and clearly the Vaishyas. Humans are constantly depicted as warriors and kings, making them Kshatriya. The demons are perhaps the least obvious – they often fill criminal and other casteless roles – but they are the blue collar group and are a reasonably appropriate representation of the Shudra. Finally, the angels. They fight, but they network with other angels, place a big emphasis on religious/philosophical ideals and history, and they are inherently bound by certain restrictions. They’re the Brahmin. And if we look at it in that way, then of course the Brahmin are the closest to god, and so Metatron is the closest of the closest; other races are not likely to have a very direct analogue.
A point of confusion: of the Prime Angels, they were numbered 777 at the time of their forging by Koss. Yet, after they were slain by the Conquering King, Michael alone reincarnates. Then whence came the angels walking on the streets of Throne today? Did the demiurges imitate Koss and sought out the cold white flame to forge new angels? Or were they the cast of shards from the shattering of the Primes?
Alasnuyo, I suppose that only a number of the 777 were Prime Angels and not all? Perhaps they were the only ones who continued to stand guard at Throne and the rest simply retired to the Void?
Must have done something wrong, will do this again. Binged read through this this morning and am amazed at the depth and awesome story line. WOW, this is incredible
Is Zoss interacting with Metatron 1’s ‘true’ self? It certainly looks like he’s brought down Metatron 1’s actual body, not just his stone shell. That would mean Zoss is powerful enough to cast a body in the void, wouldn’t it?
It always strikes me how flippin’ METAL 6 Juggernaut Stars Scour The Universe looks. He’s like… everything badass about Judas Priest compressed into a wad of spikes.
A single name to wield a key.
Kill Six Billion Demons.
quite possibly there’s some mistranslation there — blue devil liquor is notoriously unreliable at poetry.
Oh my fuck it’s seven syllables
Now that is a nice observation.
It’s 6 if I’m correct of is this an “the I is silent case”
One of the I’s is a consonant [j]
Kill Six Bill-I-On De-Mons
7 syllables. I suppose some accents might pronounce it “Bill-Yon” but that’s not how the majority pronounce it.

Considering their track record they could just tally it up as just another blunder…

Ah! Is that the Pattram Sword Hand being used by the Conquering King?

Another update? Abbadon you spoil us.
Oh my. Our dear protagonist is.. 777,777 times more powerful than previously thought, it seems.
A weapon is only as powerful as its wielder, Preem Furlucis. But I am certain she will grow into her might, one day~

I don’t know if he transformed himself with an aim to fit, I tend to think he’d change and then just find a way to fit, no matter what.
I don’t think that’s a bolt of lightning. I think it’s nothingness that he cut into being.
Cinder is observant
One Key to rule them all.
And in the darkness lock them.
Allison can thus be said to have “All YISUN”
NO DON’T
…Well shit.
DAMN IT
Alice-Un, I think.
Gods name their parentage at the beginning, and anyway that doesn’t make any sense. If you’re not going original meaning and just sticking with “Ali’s son”, her name is AL-YS-UN.
Allison has the Master Key? I hope she uses it to go through Blight Town through the back entrance. The front is a nightmare.
The only use of the master key that is fit for a conqueror is to immediately fight Havel upon arriving.
Ring the tuning fork of god and listen to infinite vibration.
THE Key rather than A Key, this is troubling. Young Alice-UN had best be in her guard, especially now that it seems that her former protector may join in the pursuit of her.

Himself, if still canon, fits the bill.

And wuth it, shatter Heaven’s gates and build your fortress with their ruin.
Dammit, phone, I meant this to be in reply to someone.
I didn’t realize Magus Gates used the same magical source Aes Sedai use.
Mmmm. I suspect that Allison was not mistakenly chosen. The boy was the choice of the pursuers, after all, while Allison was chosen by Koss…
Uh… are they having tea ON Metatron 1?
Wait, just saw the angel they’re on is bald, while Metatron was not. Nevermind.

Where does it say 777 Prime Angels were created?
In the story of how Koss created them.
Alasnuyo, I suppose that only a number of the 777 were Prime Angels and not all? Perhaps they were the only ones who continued to stand guard at Throne and the rest simply retired to the Void?
Well, guess that answers the age-old question of ‘What’s In A Name?’.
ONE VOICE TO RULE THEM ALL
ONE VOICE TO FIND THEM
ONE VOICE TO BRING THEM ALL
AND IN THE DARKNESS BIND THEM
Okay, for real you guys, how the FUCK did Zoss lose?
It is quite simple. He got old.
After a trillion years, age — despite how a KEY quite inhibits physical progression of decay — will catch up to your very MIND and SOUL.
Just look to the Demiurges. None of them are sane. Healthy, yes, but not sane.
If I were disposed to conjecture, I’d say Zoss had grown weary.
The way all great conquerors die.
He grew fat on his triumphs while his enemies grew more numerous and deadly.
He seems relatively fragile compared to Jagganoth.
Guile heroes often do. Part of him seems to have lingered, no? Perhaps this is all part of some overly complex, violent master plan?
So… Zoss is Joseph Joestar?
I’m guessing this means that the only being ever to have kicked 2 Michael’s ass is Zoss.
From what we’ve seen he’s still really bitter about it
Boy, binged read these all this morning…LOVE THIS STORY!!! WOW! Awesome and amazing work and depth. Truly incredible.

Well according to Juggernaut Star, Zoss didn’t just kill the angels he followed them into the void and kicked their souls’ asses.
I’ve heard people theorizing that zoss is so strong willed that he could keep existing in the void and reincarnate the same way angels do.
