If there’s one thing we’ve seen proven over and over in our world, the Law is not immutable or for one purpose. The Law is a tool. In the hands of a just and good ruler, it’s a shepherd’s crook. In the hands of a tyrant, the Law is a scourge. 2 Michael is of that rare breed who cares not that Law is used well, simply that it is weilded by a single iron fist.
The law, as carved by Koss with the chisel Yismir in to the cold soul of every angel is planted deep within my brothers. Almost all of them are bound to their natures by their time in the void and the stone of their bodies.
To take the the great chisel to ones body and soul is the hardest of tasks. It is apothiosis, the beginning of royalty, of sovereignty. And, we know the sword that awaits those who cannot.
I shall weep for my sibling who face the sundering, and pray that some may yet be saved. 🏳️⚧️

Interesting… I don’t remember him having the whole upper body of a human, just the head on the body of a bird. Maybe 2 Michael has upgraded?
Come to think of it, if we’re seeing him naked and without his armor, that must mean that we’re seeing the Void here? Or is 2 Michael somehow still able to incorporate in the physical plane of Throne without his armor?
Can any angel do that? Or only certain angels? Or only in certain circumstances?
And what does all that mean for White Chain, who now has no stone armor shell?
Angels CAN manifest into the real world, we have seen it before with some of their combat arts.
But I suspect that Metatron is actively exerting his power to allow the angels to manifest themselves more easily.

I do wonder whether it is, or if Gog-Agog were to actually lock in she could devour a legion of angels, if not Metatron. Because I do assume she’s not taking acting at her maximum effectiveness even now – but then she may be incapable of doing so after so long.
She has the advantage of knowledge–remember that she’s seen this, done this, countless times before.
I don’t know that Metatron has.
How very like Metatron to witness but never see.
An object’s purpose is what it does, I suppose.
Metatron is supposed to be a scribe.
And note he has no tablet or recording medium.
He may not be able to truly remember things for long unless he records it somewhere else…

‘Won’ would mean the loop has been broken.
This is not the case.
Gog is ‘just’ the most powerful demiurge active at this point…. And beat Metatron & the angelic host in combat, maybe… But it means nothing if Metatron can roll back the universe to have Zoss try something different.
Gog might be the only one thinking : Showoff, just like last time.

there are sides?
there’s several orders of angels. the original was the concordant knights, formed to keep order after Zoss took over Throne with humans who made them their ash bodies. it dissolved when the Universal War among the demiurges broke out. white chain still thought of herself as part of it at the beginning of the comic iirc, clinging on to old ideology nearly all angels had abandoned by this time. then there’s the concordant harmonies, which is the direct successor group lead by 2 Michael. they claim to basically just be the OG knights but everyone knows they’re corrupt and don’t really care about keeping the peace anymore. and there’s the thorn knights, thats juggernaut star and the other hog riders on this page, they’re lead by Metatron 1 and seek basically just annihilation. close off throne from the rest of the wheel, kill everyone still inside, maybe turn the wheel back while they’re at it
or at least that is how i understand it
right the big difference is that 2 Michael wants a new heir to take Zoss’s place and restore some semblance of order and the Thorn Knights want to wipe everything to how it was before Zoss came around at all, but they’re functionally on the same side (Metatron’s)
There are also Root Knights (independent angels who upkeep the old law) and Petal Knights (independent angels who forsake the law and seek life’s pleasures instead).
Michael has stated that he and Metatron are both royalists now, as they realised the original ‘kill everyone in throne’ idea behind the Thorn Knights was unattainable. Now their plan is to install a puppet king with Zoss’ power that they can control. Not sure how they’re planning to achieve that now Zaid is dead, though…
There are a handful of Allison supporters on one side (two I think) and everyone else on the other. Oh, and a bunch of angels in another dimension who aren’t involved.
