So… why did the ship crash, exactly? It didn’t look appreciably more damaged than it did in the last page, where it was flying upwards.
The attack was deflected into a wing. In the second to last panel, we can see that one of the portside wings is a charred skeleton, and another is missing altogether.
Incubus is pure garbage in every sense and I love him for it.

I write this with no small amount of worry, as I have only woken up a single minute ago, jumping out of bed at the idea that there were new pages to read, only to find out that, there were, and slightly similar to what I saw on, what I now know was a profetic dream.
I am filled with no small amout of dread at the implications of such an event.

When this comic is complete, I’m going to go back and look at all the eye-related symbolism.
The ship having one bleeding eye and one eye on fire is interesting.
The tear of blood knowing the ship had still suffered a fatal blow. Peak symbolic art.
I just realized Nyave’s glasses going askew is probably another variation of the eye symbolism. One eye will see clearly, the other blurry.

It’s a way to devalue her. She’s let herself get old/mature/ugly/anything that isn’t young and pretty.
He’s managed to keep his youthful form, whereas she has matured out of the look she had when they were young. And society often doesn’t see old women as worth anything.

I’ve been wondering, WHY does everyone use melee weapons in this multi world?
We know guns exist there (hello gunwitch). As do cannons. And potentially missiles.
A single AC-130 gunship would be devastating against all those massed ground troops.
So why?
Plenty of reasons, from “high tech degrades when it passes the Void” to “it’s just cooler”. You see, in KSBD, if you come to gunfight with a blade, it just means you are not badass enough to slay an army with your bare hands.
Or probably you are, but just woke up in a merciful mood today.
Common guns doesn’t have magical perforation attribute, so they did low damage med.
Also cause magic can crash common tiered tech (unmagical) simply with Words,
Power and Intention.
