I’m sorry but I don’t care about zaid. You can’t make me care about zaid. It’s not possible. He’s had about ten pages of screentime through the whole series. His personality is “guy”.
I can sympathize with the statement. For similiar reasons I’ve been flabberghasted by the sheer amount of vitriol for him. He’s said less than a single pages worth of dialogue in the script. Including all retrospective appearances. It’d have been nice to see a chapter of him looking for Allison while she was in a coma. Hell it’d have been lovely to see the secondary and tertiary cast reacting to her dissapearance and search for her. Side character lives matter too guys…
You’re surprised? Man there’s been an extremely loud faction of people who hate him to the point where they talk about how it affects them IRL. It’s bonkers lol
I’m the furthest thing from a feminist, but it doesn’t surprise me that people project their general dislike of men onto him, considering he has no identity outside of being one. It seems he is there to subvert tropes about chosen ones and tropes about damsels, by being not chosen and needing to be rescued respectively, but both these things just take away his agency and leave nothing behind. When he comes roaring back into the narrative as a pili character, it felt slightly forced. It’s cool that he’s an 8th level cultivator who knows the yang sword techniques but what are his hopes and dreams, Abaddon? What are his feelings about being passed up as the heir? Does he even know? Does he actually like Allison? Does he want to go home where he presumably has a family? How does he feel about the fact that he did such a bad job of losing Allison her virginity that her sexual preference now reads “steven universe character”? Does HE want to be in the three-way lezbo-fusion?? Do I even want to know what that would look like?!?!
Sorry for the wall of text but this might as well be his eulogy considering we’ll never discuss him ever again. Truly he died as he lived: failing to plug a hole.
A Gog-Agog quote from page 77 that seems relevant.
“Normally your kind of character is just a bit part. A two-dimensional little flimsy piece of paper. Yeah.. A lot of the time.. You’re basically meat”.
I really like this comic.
A bold move! Sensing the presence of such a poor swordsman she correctly deduced that bringing the ship within close range would raise her odds of survival.
I can´t see much good coming from this charge. Bad guys like Incubus are sadly usually immune to gambits like this on convention of trope and storytelling alone.
If ship is not a bullet, why is it payload shaped?
Vehicular manslaughter. Run over six billion children
Everything I love is dying.
I mean yeah that’s kind of how the whole thing works, you signed on the dotted line when you popped out
Welcome to the only game in town
Pree 247 makes a greatly underrated point.
But that is unlikely to help. However…

It’s not his story, looks like all that matters is SOMEONE clearly cared about him and is about to give Sivran a nose job.

Well, yeah. He’s a Man.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. The road to heaven is paved with corpses.
They should use pavement corpses don’t provide much grip especially in the rain, gonna be hydroplaning all the way up from purgatory
RAMMING SPEED!
if at first you don’t succeed, pick yourself up and die again
Secret girlfriend energy
“Are you mad?” Yes, Yes they are.
you know incubus is saying ‘logged’ like an og hanzo main for every ship he hits
She’s gonna get the Kung Pow treatment same as Zaid. Weeeoooweeeooooweeee

You’re way better at posting than the previous Grunglers

alright so this is definitely going to end well
I love this moment, but the bow bend arc is just killing me.
Oh, well, who wants to live forever?
sh*t is gonna hit the fan
Well. There goes the ship.
Suddenly Alison has two eyes again…
“Are you mad?”
Obviously the answer is yes

[Checks Watch] Golly, it’s ‘all your allies die because the bad guys are so much more powerful than you’ o’clock.
I would have called it but I thought the decision would be too gauche for this. I am saddened to have been **wrong**.
Yeah, I’m not even marginally concerned for her survival. His is in question, but she just got cut in half a little, big whoop.
goddamn stealth archers are op
