Ally seems way more into this than she was into Zaid, that’s for sure. He kissed her and she’s like “Mrrehhh…” in the very first panel

In the previous page, it is mentioned that the 49 Palms is a “heat-eater” technique. I know what that means: that only those who can process heat energy into motion can work it. That is phase motion. Abbadon, I think you have ulterior knowledge, and I am glad to meet you (however glancingly) in a place where it is of benefit rather than destruction.
Should we meet on opposing sides, however, let us hope that our power is properly limited, or that the world where we war is either disposable or properly durable.
On the other hand, sneaky is fun. I like being sneaky far more. Fewer interesting things and people are harmed, and life tends to go on when power is sneaky instead of glorious.
Let us be sneaks, then, when we meet; and perhaps we can discuss the names of Art and sip tea of a comforting kind.

I’m starting to think Alison is a romantic asexual, i.e. she doesn’t experience sexual attraction to anyone of either gender, but she does still have some interest in romance and love. She didn’t seem to have any real physical interest in Zayd, so she doesn’t seem to be straight, and she’s said that she’s not interested in women, either. That leaves skoliosexual (attraction to non-binary people) and asexual (attraction to no one), and practically no one’s ever heard of skoliosexuality, so that leaves asexuality.
Could be. But Zaid was kind of an asshole so maybe it was him in particular that she wasn’t digging, not all guys ever. On the other hand she’s still a virgin….
