Why is Princess speaking in a weird dialect? Is this dialogue all in the local language, which Nyave speaks well and Princess badly?
Devils appear to have their own dialect, or at least slang, which Cio slips into when she’s stressed.
Speaken ye no Ye Black Speech?
It’s actually the K6BD version of ‘common’ that Nyave and the guard are speaking, the Black Speech is a dialect of that.
Black speech yes; but Princess isn’t speaking it here, and she isn’t speaking the way she usually speaks (which, to my ears, translates as a vaguely Scottish form of English). Ah well, it’ll either be a plot point and we’ll find out soon, or it’s not important.
