Book 5 of KSBD started on October 7th, 2020. Almost two hundred pages, a short break, and the birth of my son later, here we are. On to the final book (I mean it this time)!

Been hiding for a while. Hoping I can consider my life over and that there will be no more suffering. I guess I have to go on and collect some more?

No matter how awful life is at the moment, how horrible everything feels…
It will pass. It will get better. Sometimes all you need is a phone call. Or to unload your burdens into someone. Yes, even if you feel all alone, there is always someone willing to listen.
Don’t commit the injustice of denying yourself a lifetime of joyful experiences and fulfilling relationships just because of your current mindstate.

Terapy works, even if the terapist is not the brightest. It boils down to its emotional capacities.

This comic is so metal.
Are we like just forgetting about Cio and White Chain like that? I don’t believe it. The Author is way better than that.

Is the end ever really the end?
What a great book. Loved the story, from the epic fight, the sheer hopelessness as Jagganoth won and Incy did as he does best, to the arc with Jadis as Allison wrestles with doubt and existential dread. And the art, of course, was gorgeous. Gets better every book.
She fell off of a great pyramid… shouldn’t she be sliding down into book 6?

Well, to be fair, it’s certainly not markedly inferior in quality to random aspects of the comic/ life being ascribed to “royalty”, or people doing terrible imitations of Cio’s speech idiosyncrasies.

I wish I could buy the books in bookdepository.com; in my little corner of the world, not having to pay delivery for foreign books is what allows to buy them.
I seriously want a call back of Alice and Zaid stating what happened the first/only and last time they got together for an extended period of time.

Perhaps (re)read the story a bit closer?, a good reread is never a waste. Then maybe you’ll understand why people say “Alice”, or keep mentioning “Royalty” (apparently) randomly, or use the BlackSpeak.
Kindness to yourself and your body’s autonomic stress response is always repaid, perhaps honour yourself with a name, learn to observe the foibles of the lesser mortals down here with a smile, a knowing one even.
when jadis mentions that (she)i lack IN itself, is she referring to the question that she is practically dead and therefore no longer has yisun’s fire inside her?
whaaaa, there’s at least 4 books left: the book of jaggerpoof, the book of Whelp, the book of hero’s journey blah blah blah, and the book of “does Alison ever explain where she went to her sorority sisters and finally earn that degree or become an immortal being who transcends time-and-space.
This has been one of my favourite comic experiences period and I can´t wait to read the epic finale.
